Terrific tour with wonderful friendly tour guide Li Na and great safe driver, Mr. Liu. The Shenzhen Museum was insightful and informative to learn about China's history and the amazing rapid transformation of Shenzhen. The views were incredible from the top of the Ping An Finance Center, the tallest Office building in the world. Splendid China was a very nice homage to diverse cultures of China throughout history. Thank you for a fabulous tour!

We had a fabulous time with our guide Janine who is very friendly, knowledgeable, passionate and accommodating. We visited Splendid China Folk Village for an immersive experience of China’s vast history, culture and diverse ethnic groups, a delicious dim sum place in Huaqiangbei, electronics stores at Hauqiangbei Commercial street and Free Sky 116 at Ping An Tower Observation Deck for panoramic and stunning city views of Shenzhen. Would highly recommend Sunny Tours and Janine as your guide for anyone visiting Shenzhen.

The city is more real than the Reels. We went to Flower Market and observered the fishes sold as pets :) Julie was an excellent gid with a professional skills.

This review is long overdue. We had Lina from Sunny Tours who was our guide for the day. She is just a wonderful guide and very accommodating. Would highly recommend Sunny Tours and Lina if you should ever visit Shenzhen.
Lina met us at the train station and made sure we were all good before leaving us at the train station at the end of our tour.
For those of you looking to book a tour, Sunny Tours is great and very flexible.

We enjoyed the tour very very very much. Thanks to our guide Vivian, she was really very precious. We were able to visit all the places we are interested to. Vivian was very good in coordinating perfectly all the tour personalized as we would like. She accompanied us continuously, gave us all the explanations about the places we visited and was very attentive to us. With her we moved safely into a big city like Shenzhen, of which Vivian told us the whole story. We would definitively recommend this tour with Sunny and Vivian to anyone. We visited from Hong Kong for the day, and so having a guided tour seemed like the sensible choice to make the most of our short visit. We took the MTR to Lo Wu.
We arrived at immigration to get a visa on arrival (‘port visa’) which took about an hour. It then took a further 30 minutes to fill in the arrival card and clear immigration and customs. Once we had done this we met our guide at a hotel a short walk from the border.
Our guide, Lina, was fantastic and I highly recommend her. She spoke to us about what we would like to do with the day and built the visit around us.
We went to the Shenzhen Museum first to learn about the history of the local area before and after the mega city started to be built in 1979. Lina told us about the exhibits as we went around the museum.
Then we went for traditional Chinese Dim Sum lunch and tried many different dishes. There is something to suit all tastes, meat, fish, vegetables, sweet and sour.
Then we went to the tallest building in Shenzhen, up to the 116th floor for amazing views.
Finally we went to the Lo Wu indoor market where they have lots of tourist goods like magnets, chequers set, Chinese lanterns, Chinese clothes, fake designer handbags and lots more. We spent most of our time in a traditional Chinese tea shop trying lots of different teas, black, herbal, fruit, oolong and others. It was a real experience that we would not have got if we had just wondered around on our own without Lina as our guide as we would not have known where to go. It also helps having a guide who can translate the Mandarin for you - and she helped my children practise some Mandarin as well.
When the tour was over, Lina walked us back to the border so we would not get lost. It’s also helpful because you don’t get approached as much by street vendors when you have a local guide.
Overall we felt the trip was good value for money and well worth doing to see multiple sites in one day with a local expert. Being driven around also meant you got to get between places quickly and safely.
