Good and terrible in equal measures. First the good: Ultimately we all enjoyed the time out and the combination of activities. It was fun to be on an ATV out between the mountains. The kids enjoyed the excursion (girls 12 and 14), including as the 14 yr old could drive her own atv. The star gazing, though short was interesting and the 5-10 minutes talk about the constellations was well delivered. There was a bit of waiting around (and quite long to wait before food started) but it overall ran quite smoothly. The host was friendly and the person helping to start the ATVs was quickly there to help / swap ATV when it would not start. The food was of a good standard and the dancing shows were also enjoyable enough to watch. The terrible: There are perhaps 10 different operators running up to 50 quads each using the same area so while you stop for your ‘camel ride’ (a 4 minute walk on a decrepit looking camel so that they can take a photo of you and ask for a tip) you walk across the M6 of ATVs blowing sand and smoke into what could be a beautiful desert valley. With the number of ATVs and dust it really is a bit like an apocalyptic Mad Max scene. The ATV driving involved driving a convoy of ATVs 5m apart where you get told off if you diverge from the exact line of ATVs. It is pot luck if you will have working brakes and lights. But ultimately it is still fun to be on an ATV again after many years, and driving back in the dark adds another dimension. (Depending time of year do take some layers). Star gazing though meaningfully good, you then stand in a line of 50 people to look through a telescope to be moved on two seconds after you have focused your eye. So overall it is Tik Tok fueled mass tourism at its worst, but then for a more soul enriching holiday you should buy a tent and hike in the hills vs flying to Sharm. My daughters enjoyed it (including as they got some Tik Tok videos they were happy to post) and said 4 stars. I’d have probably come in at anything between -5 stars and 4 stars depending which perspective you view it through. Somehow I feel this one is better than average of the various operators so went with my daughters rating.

Our tour guide Ibrahim was very professional made sure we were okay and satisfied with the service rendered. The whole process was smooth well explained, the food was amazing best I have had since my stay here. I highly recommend the activities it was worth it.

A brilliant trip from start to finish,well organised and the guides were great!!! The food was excellent and to top it off we could see Saturn through the telescope,a very enjoyable trip and definitely recommend it to anyone. Riding the quad though the desert at night was a brilliant experience!!
