Itinerary

Meet your guide at your hotel in Selcuk and begin your Pamukkale Small Group Tour with a scenic drive inland to Pamukkale. Make your first stop at the ruins of Hierapolis, an ancient Roman city home to one of the biggest ancient cemeteries in Anatolia. Hop out to explore the ruins and follow your guide around the Roman Baths and Necropolis. Stroll along the Main Street, stop to admire landmarks like the Domitian Gate and Byzantium Gate, and listen as your guide brings the ruins to life with stories of ancient Rome.

Next, make your way to the star attraction – the gleaming white travertine terraces of Pamukkale. Snap photos of the UNESCO-listed natural wonder, which is just as impressive in person as it is on the postcards. Take time to dip your feet in the thermal pools, which reach temperatures of up to 35˚C (95˚F) and are renowned for their mineral-rich waters and healing properties. Along the way, learn how the terraces were created by the natural flow of the hot springs causing layers of white calcium carbonate to build up in steps.

After working up an appetite from the morning’s adventures, tuck into a delicious open buffet lunch and fill up on delicious Turkish-style cuisine. After lunch, choose to pay a visit to Cleopatra's Pool (extra fees apply), where you can bathe in the warm waters of a pool said to have been favored by the ancient Egyptian Queen.
