Just a shopping trip

Three mentioned stops: St Mary's house, Ancient City of Efes, temple of Artemis (most sites mentioned at the description are just stops along the course of visit of the main archaeological site) and two unmentioned LONG stops at shops (a carpet weaving "school" and a leather goods store, complete with a catwalk fashion show just for our small group). Guide was average, with many sensational narratives unrelated to the sights. The "homemade" lunch was offered in one of the shops, a place no locals would ever visit for lunch.

I was advised to go with a guide to visit Ephesus which is what led me to choose this tour. The guide I ended up with was pleasant and knowledgeable. The site itself is magnificent. In retrospect, I also would like to have had more time to explore on my own, and also to visit the Terrace Houses. The inclusion of two children in the group that day made it so that we rushed perhaps more than other days, and that did not allow time for those who wished to buy the extra ticket and take time to view the terrace houses. The other perhaps unavoidable extra was visiting a leather shop for a fashion show. The items for sale were beautiful, but it takes time out of a day that I wanted to just spent visiting Ephesus.

Me gustó mucho el tour, por lo general realizo mis viajes de manera independiente porque no soy muy amantes de los tour, sin embargo, éste me gustó porque el guía explicaba muy bien todo, a medida que iba visitando cada lugar contextualizaba y respondía con claridad ante dudas, fue muy agradable y amable también porque tomaba fotos así que muy agradecida de esta experiencia.
