Be sure to get coca leaves and flavored baking soda or coca candy to help with altitude sickness. It’s real!

The Tren a las Nubes was beautiful! We took the bus to the train start at San Antonio Las Cobras. The bus ride left Salta and went through the countryside, winding its way up the mountains. The scenery showcases the starkness of the mountains. The train went higher with more beautiful views and vistas. The train staff were helpful and very mindful of being at 13,000 feet. Along the bus and train route there were stops to purchase artesenias from the region’s people. The trip is a must do!
Only issue was that the Viator information on the ticket for the meeting spot was incorrect. The pick up spot for the bus is at the Salta train station, not the random corner that was listed in the Viator google map directions.
