Overview

Experience the adrenaline rush of skydiving without taking to the skies at iFLY Basingstoke. With this tour, enjoy two thrilling indoor skydiving flights in an 800-horsepower vertical wind tunnel, where wind speeds can reach up to 175 mph (282 kph)! Your instructor will work with you one-on-one, slowly increasing the wind speed and helping you with your technique to ensure you get the most out of each flight.

Disappointed doesn’t begin to describe, how I was left after my IFly experience. We are told we had to arrive 45 mins early otherwise we would be unable to fly. After travelling an hour to Basingstoke we were weighed and left to sit for 40 minutes prior to anyone even approaching us. We were then issued our equipment which took about 10 minutes. We walked to the tunnel and began our experience. What isn’t clear on the website is that 3 skydives is only 120 seconds in the tunnel! We paid £140 to be in the tunnel less time than it took to get the suit on. When you are in the tunnel they even have the audacity to charge you an extra £10 to be spun around. They call it the high fly, which is 4m in the air and spun around, twice! No I wouldn’t recommend this to a friend, and personally I would not spend £70 to be inside anything for 2 minutes!
