Our guide Khalid was wonderful. A nice introduction to a very beautiful part of the world. The dinner was very nice, too.

This is definitely a must if you’re ever in Riyadh. The staff are amazing and they go above and beyond to ensure everyone has a great time. Our guide ensured everyone felt safe and comfortable during the entire trip. He even bought us water and ice cream before our trip commenced. Then he took us to see camels and gazelles. The overall tour was spectacular and ended with dinner during a sunset which he prepared and served for us.

Really great experience! Khaled was very friendly and funny, he made us feel welcome straight away. You go to the desert and you can pay extra to quad bike or camel ride (not included) and then you have a sledge ride on the sand, stargaze and then you are taken to a traditional Saudi restaurant for dinner in Riyadh. Overall a great day, would definitely recommend!

Great experience to see desert, we also catch a stunning sunset, picnic was well prepared in the red sand with our amazing guide Khaled! Dinner was also in very nice and genuine place (restaurant).
The greatest part of the trip is silence, sand around you and possibility to touch a little bit of culture. Guide Khaled answers in any our questions and was very caring! Hope to meet him again!

Absolutely beautiful. My guide: Abdo was fantastic from start to finish. Abdo didn’t speak English nor understood much of it but was able to use a Google translator to interpret and communicate with me. The tour organiser later decided to include Quad biking for an extra charge of 100 SAR. I didn’t have cash with me then do to the late information provided just as I was waiting on my guide to pick me up. And so I had to pay for this through contactless. So please do bring extra cash just in case :)

I would like to provide some feedback regarding my recent experience with the "Red Sand Dunes" tour organized by Riyadh Trips on November 5, 2022.
- I had booked the tour a day in advance and had engaged with Riyadh Trips' representative, Ali, via Viator. Unfortunately, I must express my disappointment with the service quality provided by our guide, Ali, during the tour.
- Before meeting on November 5, I chatted with Ali on WhatsApp. Overall, His demeanor was notably condescending and unprofessional. This set the tone for the entire experience. Despite my 40-minute prior notice to change our meeting point at the Dhahrat Laban area (this place was mentioned as a gathering location of the tour on its website), Ali requested me to stick to our original gathering location to the Madareem Crown Hotel on WhatsApp. I forcefully complied, even though this resulted in extra 30USD expenses for a taxi ride to the hotel.
- After meeting Ali at the designated gathering point, the Madareem Crown Hotel, Ali did not offer any apologies or explanations for the inconvenience caused. The lack of accountability was disappointing.
- Furthermore, I found the tour itself to be underwhelming, with a significant amount of litter in the Red Sand area. This experience highlighted several areas where improvements could be made within Saudi Arabia as a whole.
It's been over six months since the incident, and I still feel that Ali's guidance skills were lacking and the service fell short of expectations. Unless the aforementioned issues are addressed and improvements are made, I think that I will not consider using Riyadh Trips' services again and will not recommend them to others. I strongly hope that the necessary steps will be taken to enhance the quality of your tours and the professionalism of your guides. I believe that open and honest feedback is essential for the improvement of any service.

On our defense, we would like to clarify something. We received your compline in a short notice, and as you mentioned above that the incident happened on November 5. 2022 and it was sent by you on August 2023.
We as a professional tour group have been in this business for more than 5 years, we understand your outrage and we do not accept any matter of disrespect towards one of our customers as we put our customers' interest above everything. your complain has been noted, taken care of and understood.
Therefore, we would like to inform you that the tour guy (Ali) has been disqualified from our team as you read this.
and about the amount of litter in the Red Sand area, we would like to clarify that it was not our responsibility to clean it as was the area's organizers job.
We offer our apologies again and we assure you that this incident will never happen.

Fantastic experience…can’t wait to do it again! Obaid was the ultimate host, offering a wide range of options and letting me decide. After an intense conference in Riyadh, I wanted a little dune bashing and a lot of alone time to take photos and recharge. He happily obliged, preparing an awesome picnic after driving to the perfect spot for sunset photos. (Warning: although we literally had the place to ourselves, there are massive amounts of trash…super surprising and very different from similar places in Jordan, UAE etc.)
Heading back was when the real adventure began! Came across two trucks stuck @ on the precipice of a 400 foot dune. Obaid apologized for the delay, but said that Islam required him to assist anyone in need…these guys surely qualified, as there isn’t cell service and we hadn’t seen anyone else for hours. Turned out to be local teenagers in tears, stuck for 2+ hours without 4WD or the requisite satellite terrain mapping--they had no idea that their dune of choice ended in a sheer cliff. Obaid had 4WD, satellite mapping and multiple tools in his beloved GMC truck (aka The Monster). He got both trucks off the edge safely and navigated us out of the dunes in the pitch black Arabian night. Grateful for the excitement, awesome conversation and knowing that wherever you go in the world, you’ll always find kind helpers.
