Amazing experience. The trip is about 90 minutes each way, but there are options to stop at a shop en route.
Once there, the Edge of the World is absolutely stunning. Our host, Ahmed, was amazing. Friendly, professional, and knew exactly where to take us.
We did all 3 of the peaks. I'd recommend wearing comfortable and supportive shoes, as there is quite a bit of uneven terrain as you ascend and descend. Once at each peak, the views are incredible. The pictures really don't do it justice.
Nearing sundown, Ahmed told us to be sure to get to the 3rd peak - wow, simply stunning!
After sun down, we had a nice dinner with others in the tour and got to see the stars without any light pollution.
I highly recommend this tour. It's a nice way to spend a day and you get to see one of the marvels of the world.

Arrived at meeting point. Staff indicated not enough cars/drivers were available and that I needed to contact the office to get a refund. They then drove off with others who had managed to secure a seat. Exceptionally poor communication. No advance warning. Very poor customer support, with no care of the consequence on their customers for their inability to deliver or communicate.

Very sorry for your experience, if you could come earlier we could arrange everything for you but you came a bit late. We already refunded your ticket .

Exceeded my expectations. The area was spectacular and the meal was vegetarian friendly, very good and friendly tour guide.

On the positive side; Great journey to the edge of the world with two stops to see camels and gazelles, very flexible driver able to accommodate everyone's requests.
On the negative side; the organizer promised us a driver guide who spoke English but instead the assigned guide did not speak English, limiting detailed communication. Though there are many tourists going on same road, the state of bathrooms on the road leaves bad impression on the visitors.

Make sure to bring a coat if visiting during winter months. It can get very very windy once you reach the cliff edges!

I wished I could get help from my tour guide to go up and down the dangerous paths. I was sad seeing every group has a tour guide except mine.
I did enjoyed my vehicle riding experience with Riyadh. He was quiet but polite in the vehicle. I felt comfortable riding with him. Riyadh would put on both Arabic and English songs for us to listen during the ride.
Bashar was friendly and caring. He was always making our group drink his tea and ate his homemade food. I loved the chicken and pasta. The salad and rice were too plain for me to indulge.
The vehicle was clean and odor free, just like Riyadh. Maybe next time the tour can tell us to bring a cardigan or hiking stick.
This was very memorable. Thanks love

Edge of the World is an amazing natural destination that truly deserves a proper, well-organized tour, but this company did not deliver.
Our group was met at the metro station and divided into smaller groups of six per car. We were assigned to driver Riyadh, whose vehicle was old, not very clean, and uncomfortable for six adults. Throughout the trip he drove aggressively, despite us asking him three times to slow down. He also bit his nails and played with his phone while driving – extremely unprofessional and unsafe behavior.
The first stop for bathrooms was very poorly chosen – the facilities, especially the women’s, were dirty and in terrible condition. When the group was ready to leave, our driver was still wandering around chatting, unaware that everyone wanted to depart quickly from the unpleasant stop.
The next stop, a so-called camel visit, should be completely eliminated. It was located in what looked like a junkyard, with a few unhealthy-looking camels, and served no real purpose other than wasting time.
Once we finally reached Edge of the World, the site itself was spectacular, but there was no guiding or explanation whatsoever. The driver disappeared, and we explored on our own.
Dinner had been prepared before departure, and unfortunately, it was very basic and poorly presented. Other tour operators we saw had set up beautiful seating near the cliffs, offering coffee, dates, and even local songs – in contrast, our dinner was served in the parking lot, from paper plates, consisting of bland rice or pasta and bottled lemonade.
The return drive in the dark was stressful again – Riyadh drove fast and aggressively while watching or listening to videos on his phone.
Perhaps we were unlucky, but our experience was far from what other positive reviews suggest. On later tours in Saudi Arabia, we had much better experiences with other agencies.
I hope this company takes note and improves the experience – this incredible destination deserves clean, modern vehicles (maximum four passengers per car), professional and safe drivers, clean restroom stops, meaningful information about the site, and a thoughtful, well-presented dinner or refreshment setup.
Edge of the World is worth visiting – but not with this tour operator as it stands.

So sorry for your bad experience with us. We already spoke with you on WhatsApp, not all our drivers like that and This was an individual act by the vehicle's driver Riyadh, The driver is not working for us anymore. Our guests safety is our priority and This is not the experience that we want our guests to have with us.
Asun_R, Nov 2025
Perfect organization, timing, care, food, spots…
Shout out to Yazeef, our driver, who took great pictures of us!
Definitely will repeat with other visits

Visited in the afternoon, we visited a camel farm and gazelles before heading to the edge of the world. This was a nice surprise. The edge of the world was defo worth a visit. The scenery was stunning just after the sun had set. The walk to the top wasnt long. There were a couple of different viewing points. The meal after sunset was lovely. Our driver was great, pointing out places on route. We had a great time
You defo needed a 4x4 to get there

Fantastic views at sunset from the edge of the world. Great photo opportunity. Nice food courtesy of Bashar served with a smile 😊 Really enjoyed.

If we could give the driver 5 stars, we would - Rashid did an excellent job taking us to the Edge of the World and back safely.
We enjoyed the drive there and back and the Edge of the World is a phenomenal place to visit if you are in Saudi Arabia and Riyadh. We highly recommend this tour, however, there are a few things to keep in mind when booking.
(1) Don't expect any history lessons or explanations about the location. This is very much a tour where you get picked up, dropped off and then asked if you want to move to the next location.
(2) The listing mentions two options: (1) dinner; and (2) no dinner, however, we could not find where to book the "no dinner" option. So we effectively paid for a dinner we never ate.
(3) The listing also mentions that the experience is from 2pm - 6:30pm. However, there was no clarity on whether that was the time when we would arrive back in Riyadh, or if that was when we were to leave the Edge of the World.
(4) While we did not do the dinner and stargazing, we did get to see the location and set up - it feels very rural and special being out in the desert in the evening, but we heard the food was not great and it was a better option to simply come back to Riyadh.

thanks for your feedback! Just wanted to make sure we’re all on the same page:
1. We’ve got at least one tour guide who can speak English at the meeting point and another at the Edge Of The World to share the history of the place. Most people come for the pictures, which is totally fine as long as they’re having a blast! We do offer explanations about the history, and the tour guide will be wearing black vests with our company logo.
2. If the weather cooperates (no rain, dust storms, or too much wind), we’ll have a dinner.
Your package includes dinner, but some people might want to head back early to explore the city. We’re happy to provide transportation back at 6:30 pm. If anything’s unclear, feel free to ask the tour guide—they’re super helpful and will be happy to clear things up!
3. Regarding the food, it’s all about personal taste. Many people enjoy our food, but unfortunately, not everyone does. What we cook in the desert is our traditional food, and it’s more about the experience of cooking and eating under the stars.

Good organization, many cars driving together, great dinner experience under the stars, and of course beautiful scenery an sunset. I think this is a must do when visiting Riyadh. The only thing to improve would be the space in the back seats of the cars. When three people seat there, it’s can be uncoftable.
David_R, Oct 2025
The cliff views and sunset was great with a straight forward and comfortable transit to and from the area. But we never got the dinner/bbq option, the driver just dropped us off at the start point. This would have enabled the stargazing, so never got that either. The pick up and drop off point is a bit out of the way, would be better near a metro station.

A great Saudi adventure… sunset viewing with nighttime stars and some delicious makes for a great day

It is so beautiful and the organisers are so thoughtful and friendly. The night end with a wonderful dinner while gazing the stars.

Great experience overall, the A/C wasn’t working in our car which was awful and the food they gave us wasn’t Saudi. The place was majestic and our driver was top notch. They let us pet the camels which was also nice.

Amazing scenery, absolutely breathtaking! Safe and friendly drivers who speak English. Nice dinner watching sunset!

Basher (sp) was an awesome host. The trip included so much more than what is described here. So many photo stops, camels, monkeys, gorgeous views, and delicious cooking. It was a wonderful day to remember.

Mashari Majed is a legend. (excuse me if I didn't get his name right)
He’s a licensed tour guide certified by the Saudi Ministry of Tourism. I know this because we had long, engaging conversations throughout the trip. I was curious about his profession and what it takes to be a tour guide in Saudi Arabia—and I’m glad to learn that the country takes this role seriously. The result was an outstanding experience led by a genuinely excellent guide.
Mashari made the entire journey interesting and enjoyable. He ensured that my brother, cousin (who was seated in the back), and I were comfortable and having fun the whole time. He shared stories about the history of various places, including the origins of village and road names along our route. His storytelling was lively, intuitive, and always engaging. He also took us to scenic spots he personally loved, which made the experience feel more authentic and less scripted.
A true outdoorsman, Mashari was clearly experienced and capable—he kept us safe, provided timely breaks, and struck the perfect balance between structure and spontaneity.
About the Tour Experience
The Edge of the World itself is simply stunning. I’d been dealing with a lot of work-related stress, and this trip felt like a much-needed reset. I imagined turning all my stress into a ball and tossing it off the cliff. It was that freeing.
We connected with fellow travelers, swapped stories under the stars, and shared a meal together.
The dinner—Kabsa (a traditional dish of chicken and rice)—was admittedly a bit bland. But there was a story behind that. Our guide explained the difference between Kabsa cooked in a kitchen and one made in the wilderness: fewer ingredients, more simplicity. It was meant to be part of the authentic wilderness experience, and I appreciated the explanation even if the flavor was muted.
On the way to the Edge of the World (about a 1.5-hour drive from the Riyadh pickup point), we stopped for a bathroom and snack break, visited a gazelle reserve where we took photos of the graceful animals, and explored nearby valleys. Mashari taught us about the geographic formations and local history, adding depth to the sights.
The return journey—roughly two hours—flew by. We exchanged more stories with Mashari, making it feel like a 20-minute ride.
I’ll remember this day for a long time.
P.S. We went on a hot June 27th, 2025, but the desert climate at sunset was surprisingly pleasant and added to the magic of the experience. The trip started at 3:15pm and we were back by 9:30pm.

Bashar is incredibly welcoming and made the experience feel relaxed. He took us to all the best viewpoints without rushing. Muhammad is an outstanding guide—friendly, engaging, and made us feel completely safe throughout. The evening ended perfectly with dinner under the stars. A memorable and magical experience!

Needs better details on where pick up is. The metro station has two entrances on opposite sides of the highway. I had go ho back and forth to see where the guide was
