We had the most amazing tour guide! I forget his name, but it started with an M (it wasn't Mohammed). He made the trip very comfortable and fun as we got to have a full immersion experience. He explained about the location along the way, and we got to enjoy some good music. The location itself was absolutely stunning and we had plenty of time to stay up there and enjoy. They also had great additions to the Edge of the World area.
I would highly recommend to others, especially since the price is also really good!

The tour was fantastic! The organizers where very generous and friendly, dinner was great too, for me and my friend we cared the most about photography and it was amazing! And a huge shoutout for our guide, Mr.Rashed, he was very kind and energetic and made our trip more enjoyable. I just dont recommend it for elder people as they gonna have some difficulties in the street as it becomes more difficult because at some point the car gonna walk on rocks but the hike with great weather wasn’t exhausting at all. Thanks for the excellent experience and thank for showing me the deserts life of Saudi!!

Well organised tour out to Edge of the World, Riyadh, with a great driver and guide, Khalid. He was engaging and fun, and took us to lots of beauty spots we wouldn't have known about.

I had a great experience with Riyadh tour team. Great hospitality and very good driver. The service level was good and food was decent.

The tour was great but turned out different not that is wasn't great but it was a bit confusing as I booked a tour to the edge of the world which included a heritage village visit plus the hike at edge of the world. Instead of the heritage village though we visited a gazelle sanctuary( which was fantastic) and in the end instead of returning after coffee back to Riyadh and finishing the tour by 20:30 max it became almost 21:30 as everyone else apparently booked a tour with dinner and they merged me into that group so then I was kind of peeer pressured into paying extra money for dinner although that was not what I came prepared for. The thing is I had plans after the tour which I could not do eventually. Again I am not saying the tour was not great, it was excellent, but felt a bit misleading. I would have preferred if they contacted me before the tour and said "Hi, you know everyone else booked with dinner so you can either pay extra or cancel and find another tour without dinner." I just felt a bit ambushed. Anyway, other than that the tour was great and I highly reccomend it just maybe clarify and make clear of any changes in advance, rather than making people feel they need to follow the crowd when that is not what they wanted.

This tour of Edge of the World was an experience of a lifetime! The guides were experienced and responsive. I highly recommend this experience. A 4x4 is needed along with a gide.

Amazing !!! Go for it
Guides were experimented and knowledgeable. The view was breathtaking and the dinner in the desert was so nice
Rashpal_S, Dec 2024
Really good value, 2 hour drive followed by a 1 hour hike to the edge and take in the spectacular views

Spectacular scenery. Nice driver. Just wish we had set off earlier so we could have had longer at the destination. We didn't stop at the bat cave - no reason was offered. Dinner looked v unappetising so pleased we booked package without that. Excellent value

Seeing the vastness of the canyon, the wonders of Saudi Arabia. The journey was long but very safe. Trails are very bumpy.

What a mess. Delayed and very quick. Not recommended. Not even a single English from the driver but kind.

This was one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had, and it was nothing short of a complete disaster!
We booked a 2:30 PM activity, arrived 15 minutes early at the meeting point, and waited patiently. When the time came, there was no vehicle in sight. The tour guide kept telling us to wait, while prioritizing and sending off other groups of white travelers. We, along with two other Chinese travelers, were left waiting indefinitely. Each time we asked when the vehicle would arrive, they either ignored us or asked if we wanted to cancel the trip!
We waited forever. At some point, we called the contact number listed on Viator, only to be told that we were late and that the vehicle had already left! Unbelievable! We had been there since 2:15 PM, waiting as instructed by the guide, and now they were blaming us for being late?
Then, the guide mysteriously disappeared, leaving us under the scorching sun for over an hour. It wasn’t until 3:30 PM—an hour later—that they finally arrived.
After an hour of frustrating waiting, we finally got on the vehicle and departed for Edge of the World at 3:30 PM. Everyone knows the drive from Riyadh takes more than an hour. By the time we arrived, it was 5 PM, and there was less than an hour before sunset. We had to rush through the site, snapping a few pictures before it got dark.
To make matters worse, when we contacted Viator for a partial refund due to the supplier’s horrible time management and the extremely poor experience, Viator shockingly sided with the supplier! They claimed that since the supplier had informed us of the 3:30 PM departure and that we could cancel if we wanted to, a refund wasn’t warranted.
I was beyond shocked. Viator, as a platform, actually supported this ridiculous excuse? They seriously believe that it’s reasonable to arbitrarily change departure times and offer a next-day option when it was never part of our plan? We had booked a 2:30 PM tour—why was the vehicle not ready on time? Why were we forced to wait until 3:30 PM, only to have our experience rushed and cut short? And why were we constantly told to just cancel if we weren’t happy? Is that how a qualified supplier handles issues?
I’m truly stunned.
Is this how all Viator activities operate? Can suppliers just ignore the scheduled times, make customers wait indefinitely, or pressure them into canceling? If Viator thinks this is acceptable, then neither I nor my friends will ever be using Viator again.

You said you arrived at 2:15pm but where have you been? You didn’t show up till 3pm, we recommend you to reschedule the trip because you were late you didn’t accept that and you insisted on doing the tour even though you knew that it will be late we arranged car for you and you came late at the location. You came under your responsibility and after you finished the trip you asked for partial refund which is not acceptable.
All the group left at 2:30pm where have you been?
You only contacted us looking for us at 3pm

I participated in the tour on June 20th as a Japanese tourist. The Edge of the World was simply breathtaking! I highly recommend visiting this place if you ever come to Riyadh.
The path leading to the destination is quite rugged, and it would be impossible to reach without a driver who is well-versed in the local terrain. Our driver was perfect, and we had an enjoyable conversation as well. I highly recommend this tour.

Fantastic guides. They were patient and helpful throughout the journey. Everything from the old village to the cave to the edge of the world was great.
Only one thing, in the old village there were several dead goats that had been there a long time. That was a bit uncomfortable to see so if there was someone consistently going in to clean the area that would have been nice

what a great trip this is and what a sight the edge of the world is😀on the way we fed camels and went down into a cave and then we arrived at the main event.walk the last 15 min to this incredible sight.we made our way up onto the best place to see the sun setting over this magical land.our guide was very patient with all of us as we probably took longer than planned taking photos.then a drive back across the arabian desert in the dark cant recommend this tour highly enough👍😀👍

The Guides were very helpful and caring. It was a great trip in a fantastic landscape. Pick up and return without problems and everything like in the tour description.

The trip was outstanding. Instructions from tour operator was very clear and met up right on time. Comfortable car and driver did a great job getting us there and back. Provided us with water, soft drinks, coffee and excellent food.
The Edge of the world was stunning.
Thank you for a great day out and well worth the price we paid.
Would recommend.

It's an exciting trip that will stay with us for a lifetime. Yes, we will refer to our friends and try for another trip.

Good organisation and car. Ride was comfortable. It would, however, have been good to have a driver who could speak English.
MIYUKI_K, Feb 2024
nothing special.
it was good.
but it would be helpful if you give us more information, such as what we should wear, espacially shoes...

It was an enjoyable tour, rather basic, but for me, personally, it was a great experience.
The tour is offered in two variants - with (70 USD) or without (40 USD) a dinner, both organized by the same company.
I was interested only in seeing the Edge, so I chose the cheaper option without a dinner, which was supposed to also include a short spot at a "heritage village" along the way and soft drinks to be provided.
At the meeting spot, people were sorted in two groups with different wristbands ("Dinner" "No-Dinner") and we jumped in 4x4 SUVs to get to the Edge of the World.
On our way, the convoy blitzed through the place where the "heritage village" was supposed to be, our driver was not even aware he was supposed to stop there and thus we continued. As mentioned, I wanted to get to the Edge so I didn´t really care too much.
Once at the gate of the Natural reserve, the road turns into dusty gravel path, so be prepared for some bumpy ride and kind of "Rallye Dakar experience", which I personally rather enjoyed.
At the cliff site, we were free to roam around, without anyone to give any sort of guided tour, but I didn´t mind, being preoccupied with the views. The Edge of the World is indeed worth the money. The cliffs are spectacular, especially in the afternoon and even though it could be somewhat crowded, it is a large enough area to find a nice spot for yourself and enjoy the views in peace.
The only slight issue was that the organizers initially told us that as we didn´t have the dinner included, we should leave earlier than the rest, even before the sunset, which we collectively (and rather sternly) refused and thus they agreed to stay till dark.
On our way back, when we asked about the drinks that were supposed to be included, the driver said he didn´t know anything about that and he had none for us, but when shown on the reservation, he took it upon himself to purchase each of us a bottle of water at the gas station. We got dropped off at the same location where the tour started.
Overall, You get what You are paying for... the cliffs were absolutely amazing, our driver was a genuinely nice guy and one hell of an off-road driver, but I felt kind of a "second-class citizen" treatment from the organizers towards those who chose the cheaper option (older car, no drink, skipped the Heritage village, wanted us to leave early...) which left a bit of a sour feeling.

Truly breathtaking. Like, wow. One cannot miss this. Spectacular! A little issue when departing as we were squeezed into a 4x4 with too many people , however the owner accommodated us by having another car meet us on the way in order to move some people so it turned out fine.
Doug_C, Jan 2024
The site itself is wonderful. The staff running the trip were disorganized and not communitive. We were never told what the plan was nor how long the drive would be. Our ticket said dinner not included but it was which made trip even longer. The driver we had did not seem that experienced in off roading as he drove much slower than others. For some reason the cars were reparked after we left them and we had farther to go.
Response from Host, Jan 2024
Sorry for your experience, but we mentioned everything on the website, you could ask the organizers any questions if there’s anything not clear enough, we always happy to answer questions. We asked people who booked without dinner if they wanted to stay for dinner or they can leave earlier
Agota_T, Jan 2024
We booked on viator to the operator "riyadh off road", then we communicated and paid to "riyadh tours" and then departed with the "riyadh hike" company, so I have no clue who I am rating now...
Actually it was only a silent drive there and back. The driver did not speak a word in english, so I do not consider we had a guide. Bring your own water, as even if it is promissed in the description, you dont get any. Also a stop at old houses, heritage willage is there in the description, but it is not in the program in the reality... the edge is nice, but super crowded. Maybe a different tour provider is a better choise.
Response from Host, Jan 2024
Hi,
The driver is not the tour guide , the tour guide was at the location moving with the group, the tour guide asked you to join the group but you said you wanted to stay next to the mountain and you are afraid of high , the tour guide offered you a chair to sit, after we went to Edge Of The World we went back to the national park for having snacks, cafe and tea around the fire also water :) . we offer you dinner for free.
Hope you enjoyed the trip :)

Amazing experience! Definitely a must do when in Riyadh.
The tour operator was amazing, our flight got cancelled the day before the tour, but they moved us to the day tour at no extra charge. The car was comfortable and the experience was above expectations.
