The tour exceeded expectations; excellent organization, helpful guides, and a lovely dinner. I highly recommend them. Thank you to our guide, Turki.

We were left quite unhappy. I paid $15 extra for a tour of 6-7 people. There were 20 people on the tour. They split us into two groups. My group finished and were driven to a restaurant an hour before the next group arrived. We sat and waited and did nothing for an entire hour. They kept making empty promises telling us dinner was ready and that the other bus was arriving and it wasn’t and they didn’t. Horrible experience.
Response from Host, Mar 2026
Thank you for your feedback.
After reviewing your booking, we would like to clarify a few points regarding your tour. The reservation was made through Viator under the *Sharing SUV option priced at $75 per person*, which is a *group tour*. No additional charges were collected by us beyond the amount paid through Viator.
Since the booking was for a *group tour and not a private tour*, the itinerary and timing are organized to accommodate all guests traveling on the same schedule. Private tours offer flexible timing, while group tours operate with fixed arrangements for activities and dinner.
According to the details confirmed with our guide, your group arrived at our resort (Isthira) earlier than the second group. The waiting time before dinner was approximately *40 minutes*, during which *coffee and refreshments were provided* to you and the other guests who traveled in the SUV.
Our guide also confirmed that the tour itinerary was followed as planned and that all scheduled activities were completed. For a short waiting period before dinner to be described as a “horrible experience” is quite surprising considering the arrangements made and the services provided during the tour.
For future bookings, it is always advisable to review the tour details carefully, especially whether the tour is *group-based or private*. If flexible timing and personalized arrangements are required, a *private tour option* would be the more suitable choice rather than a group tour.
We appreciate your feedback and wish you better travel experiences in the future.

Martyn_S, Feb 2026
Great value full day tour, throughly enjoyed and met some great people in the way.
Straightforward meeting point, friendly guides too.
Upgrade for the SUV vehicle if you can, road to the edge of the world and bat cave can be a little bumpy. 5/5 would highly recommend

Mom and 7 year old son
Hard to understand no big deal language gap
It was okay for the price- we met at Starbucks no big deal but then you are packed into a suv 6 plus the driver and if you know the 3rd seat is really messed up which is where me and my son had to sit to be respectful of the other family of 4 that came
We was not comfortable and very very very boring long a—ride to each spot with nowhere to purchase anything they have water and snacks tho
When they did stop at store only the driver got out and they went on to next place
Most of this was driving reckless and bouncing in the suv - no big deal my kid liked it but the other family seems uneasy about it lol
We did a quick camel ride which was awkward and really a photo op bring shades you will need them
The edge of the world was beautiful but boring to say the least - other tours had outstanding guides to helped them pose and get the best spot ours was ok but NO PERSONALITY but really really nice guy ;)
Guess you don’t need that really
It’s a long walk up and down hills so don’t be cute be athletic cute workout gear and cute hoodie for evening ;) the temp drops
You will enjoy but can be quite scary as there is drop off around the whole edge hence edge of world
Before edge we stopped at the cave which was different as hell and felt like h—-BRING A FLASHLIGHT - otherwise you will be using your cellphone light no joke it’s dark down there
We made it to the edge of world sunset which took like an hour or so but agin you hiking ladies and may have kids so keep that in mind
After that a long drive to a place where they serve you dinner very different but Saudi is safe so you will be just felt if you get my drift
The food was good and I don’t eat meat but my son tore the chicken up and went for second lol
after that it was about 10-11 pm so they drop us at hotel

I magic place that definitely it must be visited if you are in Saudi Arabia. It's fantastic landscape and you will feel as a part of the history.
Tawfique_C, Feb 2026
A great Tour from start to finish. There is so much packed in for one 8 hour tour - the camel ride, bat cave, edge of the world itself and the dinner after - it was so incredibly cheap for what you get. Our guide Adil was also brilliant and accommodating. It was a great day and would thoroughly recommend this tour to anyone in Riyadh looking for something to do for a day.
hvassilios, Feb 2026
The trip was well organized overall, and the camel ride was enjoyable. However, the Bat Cave was not worth the visit, as the tour operator did not explain what we were supposed to see or why the cave is considered significant. The bus ride to the Edge of the World was very uncomfortable due to the bumpy road.
In addition, the tour operator did not clearly explain how much time we would spend at the Edge of the World or provide enough information about the location itself. Some historical background and context would have greatly enhanced the experience. Dinner was acceptable, but the cold weather and lack of proper organization made it uncomfortable, as everyone was sitting outside trying to stay warm.
Despite these issues, I would still recommend the trip and the tour operator. However, I suggest removing the Bat Cave from the itinerary and providing clearer explanations and more information about the places being visited.

Awsome trip out to edge of the world and bat cave. I think you can be taken to different "edge of the worlds" in same area and certaintly was for anyone who remotely doesnt like heights

This is a full 8 to 9-hour experience, which went so fast that it felt like one-half that time frame. We were fortunate to half Alghamdi Mohammad as our guide. He is everything that you want in a guide. He gives solid background information, he checks on everyone's comfort (bathroom break time, temperature in vehicle, can you hear me, and more), explains each leg of the trip, takes wonderful pictures, answers your questions, and occasionally uses a voice translator app when he is not sure of the English question (his English is great, but he wants to occasionally use the app). What also makes him the best is that he is proud of and truly cares about his wonderful country and, he wants to make sure that you understand why. The camel ride is amazing. It lasts ten minutes, but that is all you really need. It's the experience and the photo opportunity that counts. The bat cave is extremely informative and unique. You enter by way of a 3-meter (10 foot) ladder, explore the cave for a length of about 45 meters (50 yards) while seeing bats hanging from the ceiling, looking at numerous quartz columns, other geologic formations, and fossils. The Edge of the World offers many geologic items of interest from a variety of vantage points. The vast vista with distant dust storms, rain clouds, and streams of sunlight make this two-hour visit seem quick. Except for the lack of the Atlantic Ocean and the green plant life, it reminded me of the vastness of the Cliffs of Moher in Ireland. On the return trip, we were treated to a nice evening meal of chicken, sliced potatoes, rice, eggplant, peppers, and a salad. It's not a five-star meal, but it provides an extremely satisfying end to the day before returning to the pick-up location. For the extra money, splurge and do the 4x4 vehicle. The small group adds to the experience. Our vehicle had a gentleman from New York City, a young lady from Raleigh, a couple from Los Angeles, and me from Denver. We quickly got to know and enjoy each other's company, experiences, and knowledge.

Edge of World was a must to visit. Driver did a fantastic job tho road was bumpy.
Tour guide - poor performance. He sat next to driver entire trip with zero info about the trip or itinerary. We had no clue what to expect!
Dinner was not any better.
Overall a great place to visit but tour performance really needed to improve.
Ali_A, Feb 2026
We went as a family with a toddler and it was a great experience. The tour company had made great arrangments. Our driver Abdul was an excellent guide who made sure everyone enjoyed the trip. A tip with toddlers is that it may be difficult to go to some places on the edge so keep that in mind. A must do if you are in Riyadh
Felix_W, Feb 2026
The scenery and views at the Edge of the World were incredible - I will never forget this very special place. Besides this, the camel ride is rather touristic, the bat cave is interesting (but I have seen better)… and there was no further context/information provided on this tour. So it is mainly the transit to Edge of the World you are paying for and the dinner afterwards (afternoon tour only). This was fine for me but there is room to improve the experience by providing more context.

Its a one in a life time experience. The landscape is breath taking and you feel like you are indeed on the Edge of the world
Krystyna_C, Jan 2026
They canceled the camel tour, overall they did ok job.
It was very windy, they should let the travelers know take extra clothes , like jackets and hats.
Andrei_S, Jan 2026
Fantastic half-day exploring the stunning views and a cave, followed by a short camel ride. Guides always help you to take photos without expecting anything in return. Lovely day! Returned back to Riyadh by 1 o'clock.

This was a really good trip, our guide was friendly, the organisation was perfect, the only thing i will skip next time is the dinner, the place was a nice typical setting but the food was not good at all….but overall my brother and i were pleased by the expérience

Nice car, punctual and friendly driver despite him not speaking much English. There was no tour guide or information given on the tour. Lots of time was given for us to hike and explore and the food and Bedouin camp was nice

I traveled solo to the Edge of the World and had a great experience. If you’re considering this trip but worried that traveling alone might not be for you — don’t be. You’ll quickly meet people within the larger tour group, and the atmosphere is very social and easygoing.
I chose the 4x4 SUV option instead of the bus, and I’m glad I did. The SUV saves time between stops and allows you to reach destinations like the camel ride, Bat Cave, and the Edge of the World more efficiently. It also gets you to the dinner location earlier, which was a plus. That said, you still meet up with everyone and share the experience together, so even if you choose the bus option, you’ll still have fun. The SUV isn’t imperative — it’s more about convenience and pacing.
One thing to note: don’t expect your driver to be a tour guide. My driver didn’t speak English but was very kind and genuinely tried to make the excursion enjoyable. He’ll safely take you from one destination to the next, but he won’t provide historical details or answer questions about the area. As long as you’re okay with that, you’ll be perfectly fine.
The Bat Cave was bigger than expected — not just a small hole in the ground, even though the entrance might look that way at first. It was a pleasant surprise.
The Edge of the World is absolutely the highlight. The views are stunning and truly unforgettable, especially around sunset.
Dinner at the end of the night was simple, nothing fancy, so don’t go in expecting luxury — but it was enjoyable and set in a very nice, relaxed setting that fit the experience well.
Overall, this was a memorable excursion, especially as a solo traveler. I’d absolutely recommend it to anyone visiting Riyadh

Traveling to the edge of the world was an amazing experience! It surely worthed the money! Our driver kind and friendly! Recommended activity if you stay 2..3 days in Riyadh.

The scenery was absolutely breathtaking and truly memorable. Visiting the bat cave was a unique and fascinating experience that made the trip even more special. Our driver, Sultan, was an excellent guide—very knowledgeable, friendly, and attentive throughout the journey. Overall, it was a very enjoyable and well-organized experience that I would highly recommend.

Typically, I don’t leave bad reviews and I’ve been on many tours in many places. This tour was just disappointing. I personally think your tour guide makes or breaks your tour. Our tour guide did not speak a word of English - he really was just our driver. Why advertise this tour as English speaking if that’s simply untrue? We checked in at the meeting point and were chaotically sorted into groups of 5-6. Maybe hire guides/drivers who at least speak a little bit of English or pre-sort the groups so people who need an English tour guide actually get one? We were a group of 5 (6 with the driver) - there were 2 girls with us who spoke Arabic and English and they said they’ll help translate if needed. Okay fine. The rest of the tour, the driver really just guided those 2 girls while the other couple and I were left to fend for ourselves. It felt like we were just tagging along to their tour and we were a nusance. It felt super exclusive and unprofessional. There were multiple occasions where we had to wait for the driver and the 2 girls to get back to the car. I don’t mind waiting, but it was cold and windy and we were waiting for 20+ minutes outside and it was AFTER the time they told us to be back at the cars. I personally think if I book a tour, the guide/driver should be back BEFORE or with us. The main guide who checked us in was actually really nice and he tried explaining some things when he ran into me at the edge of the world. I also think he felt bad cause he also saw us waiting for the driver multiple times. His car and another car also had to wait for our car cause we were all driving as a group. The edge of the world was really really amazing to see. The hike wasn’t bad at all, but there are no guard rails and a lot of loose rock so do be careful. The camel ride and the bat cave felt like a random tack on and a waste of time in my opinion. The dinner was actually quite good and the camp was super cute. They had a campfire, tea, and a lot of desserts. I genuinely think you should save your money and just visit the edge of the world by yourself. The dinner was good, but the rest of the trip felt like a waste of money and time. Unless they hire actual guides or fix the misleading listing, I would not recommend this tour.
Response from Host, Dec 2025
Thank you for taking the time to share your detailed feedback. We value all reviews, especially from well-traveled guests, as they help us clarify our operations and improve communication.
On the day you joined the tour, the total group size was 52 participants traveling in 9 SUVs. To manage this large group, we provided 3 English-speaking tour guides who were responsible for explaining the itinerary, safety instructions, and key highlights to the entire group. The remaining staff members were drivers whose primary role was transportation, not guiding. This information was clearly announced to all participants at the meeting point before departure. As this announcement was made to the full group and not individually, missing this explanation does not mean it was not communicated.
Regarding the concern that the driver did not speak English, this is not a valid complaint, as English-speaking guides were already assigned and available as part of the tour structure. The guides explained the process before heading out, and the tour was conducted according to that plan.
With respect to the camel ride and bat cave, these activities are included because the majority of participants enjoy them and consistently provide very positive feedback. While we understand that experiences can be subjective, labeling them as a waste of time reflects a personal preference rather than an issue with the tour itself.
Concerning waiting times during returns to the vehicles, this is a common and unavoidable aspect of large group tours. All guides are required to account for every participant to ensure safety before moving on. As you can appreciate, not all guests follow timings precisely, and guides must check that everyone has returned safely. This responsibility can occasionally result in short delays, and it is done purely for guest safety.
We are pleased to hear that you enjoyed the Edge of the World, the dinner, and the camp experience, which are highlights many guests appreciate. However, expressing disappointment over standard group-tour procedures is quite discouraging for our team, especially when these processes are clearly communicated and carried out with safety and organization in mind.
Thank you again for your feedback. We wish you safe and enjoyable travels in the future.

Pros: Fantastic views at edge of the world. Interesting to see a bat cave in the middle of the desert. Food at the end was good.
Cons: Camel ride was about 20 yards out and back, and the camels don seem thrilled to do this all day.
Additionally, our driver was super nice, however, he spoke very little English and I booked an English tour. This really limited the amount of questions and information I could ask/receive throughout the tour. Again, he was very nice, but myself and the others on the tour couldn't ask questions. And could not use Google translate for much of the tour because there is no signal in the desert.
Also, I got dropped off at the meeting point at the end, however, the family with me was taken to their hotel I think, as they stayed in tje car and drove off. I would have loved to be taken to my hotel, or even a metro stop, anywhere closer to town would have been nice, if that was truly the case that they were taken somewhere else
Michelle, Dec 2025
On our own (Uber), we made our way to the excursion meeting spot, a Starbucks in a northern suburb of Riyadh. There, we were sorted into small groups and partnered with a driver. The Ford Expedition 4x4 was very comfortable for the 75-minute drive to the desert camp where we had a nice 7-10 minute camel ride. After everyone in the group experienced the camels, we loaded back into the 4x4s for a 60-minute off-road drive out to the desert parking area. There we began a 20-30 minute walk out to The Edge of The World. The views were fabulous and very unique. The walk was not difficult but a little bit of loose gravel and mostly uneven terrain was best navigated with a sturdy athletic shoe. As the sun was setting, the color and lighting on the terrain was absolutely lovely. Just after sunset we walked back to the parking area and drove about 10 minutes to a nearby cave to see a few bats take flight. The group safely ventured down into the cave, which was a first time for several in our group. The cave stop took about 20-minutes total then we drove back to the initial desert camp spot where we rode the camels. We were greeted by a nice warm campfire and a cup of tea before being served a better than expected dinner of flavorful chicken, potatoes, vegetables, rice and salad. It really hit the spot, in a very good way. After everyone finished we were driven back to the original starting point, arriving there around 8:30 PM. A wonderful 6-7 hour excursion!
RanjanM_S, Dec 2025
The driver was 90% of the time driving while looking at the phone or talking to someone on the phone. The car was old; the video display of the rear seat entertainment system was broken and hanging over the second-row seats and kept moving with the twists and turns of the car. The dinner was good. The view at the 'Edge of the World' is spectacular. They do not go to the Moideens Batcave as mentioned in the itinerary.
Response from Host, Dec 2025
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We truly appreciate your comments and are glad to hear that you enjoyed the dinner and found the view at the Edge of the World spectacular.
We would like to clarify a few points after carefully investigating the matter with our guide and also confirming with the other guests who traveled with you in the same SUV. Regarding the use of the mobile phone, the guide confirmed that he used his phone only three times during the journey, strictly to answer urgent calls from a family member. At no point was this done in a manner that compromised safety.
With regard to the vehicle, we acknowledge that the rear-seat entertainment screen was not functioning properly and was hanging loose. While this did not affect the safety of the vehicle, we agree that it impacted comfort, and we have shared this feedback with our operations team for corrective action.
Concerning the Bat Cave visit, after the camel ride the group did stop at the Bat Cave, and as per the guide’s confirmation, you visited the cave along with the other participants. It is possible that there was a misunderstanding regarding the specific Bat Cave location, as some guests may expect a different site commonly referred to by another name. However, the Bat Cave visit as mentioned in the itinerary was included and provided.
We take all feedback seriously as it helps us improve our services, and we thank you again for sharing your experience with us.

Absolutely amazing activity thanks to our wonderful guide Mohammed Al Bleeshi who was so attentive and caring and very informative. Breathtaking views of Edge of the world_ very unique landscape. An absolute must in Riyadh

Great tour! The guides were very kind and helpful. The views were amazing, the bat cave was interesting with live bats, camel rides are my favorite and the food was really good too! I definitely recommend this trip.
