I was worried about the mixed reviews and comments but I was pleasantly surprised with the whole experience. Transportation was timely, easy to find and comfortable. We received communication prior to pick up with exact details and that was helpful. The infamous “Jason”, met us at the entrance, introduced himself and personally shook everyone’s hand (with respectful eye contact). I was impressed with his business acumen. We sat at a long table where Jason shared information about the vineyard, the business and the process of wine making. We took a tour of the vineyard and were allowed time to take pictures. When we returned to the table, we did wine tasting of 5 types of wine. After that, we did a cooking class. While everyone didn’t prepare a dish at the same time, we were given ample opportunities to volunteer. The dish preparation was fun. After the cooking class, we ate. On this particular day, there happened to be a group function at the same time so we had a plethora of food options in addition to 4 tapas selections. Normally it’s just the 4 tapas selections.
Jason was very knowledgeable, professional and witty. The staff were kind and accommodating. We booked this as a private excursion vs one provided by our cruise line. Transportation was timely with pick up and return. No risk of pier running! LOL
Overall, I would recommend this excursion to others. I thoroughly enjoyed myself.

Very good experience from the start. Opted for hotel pick-up but as we were located in old town I was concerned that vehicles weren’t allowed. After messaging company I was sent WhatsApp showing exact pick up location. Driver messaged to say running 5 mins late so communication was very good. Lovely air conditioned mini bus.
On arrival we were greeted by Jason who gave us a wonderful insight into the wine making process . He really knows his wine ! After visiting the vines we sat down to taste the end products, something for everyone.
Food preparation of Greek dishes was fun and the sit down meal that followed was a feast ( wine included of course ).
Overall a very enjoyable experience and would recommend you try it.

Loved this experience and the chance to try unique Rhodean wine.
Food was delicious, cookery class was fun and we came away with a bottle of wine!

Wonderful! Definitely one of the highlights of our 24 day trip.
Recommending to friends who will be visiting soon.

It was great - earning about wine, tasting different wines, preparing courses for lunch, dining and sipping in lovely surroundings with newly made friends. Jason was very pleasant and knowledgeable. Only negative was the meeting/pickup place was very unclear

Overall, we thought it was a nice outing. The ride to the venue was good ( we were picked up at our hotel at 10am and picked up q other party’s along the way. We river at the venue about 11. , the wine tasting was nice, thought it moved a little too slowly for my taste. The host, shared a lot about the history of the winery prior to serving any wine. There were some guests in our group (about 20), that were asking a LOT of questions which kind of dragged it out. We tasted 6 wines. After the wine tasting, we walked around by the vineyards,,,, more explanation and questions. When that was over , we spent about 40 minutes as a group putting together 4 pre-prepped dishes. After that, we’re served a prepared meal. Lots of food and it was very good. It was 2pm by that time so we were pretty hungry. Didn’t eat much for breakfast since we were to have a 10 course meal. I think it would have been nice if that had a few munchies out during the wine tasting. A bit of cheee, bread, something in the stomach and to clear the pallet. Because of all the questions, it took about an hour longer than it was supposed to

Such a fun experience! Wonderful wine, delicious Greek food all in a beautiful winery! Jason was a great host and was very educated about his family’s vineyard. So so much fun! Highly recommend!

The description does not match the event! I thought we had signed up for a 10 course Greek cooking class. It was a wine tasting and wine educational event that was followed by a light preparation of tzatziki, eggplant salad and domaldres.
We thought the entire event was 4 hours but that was time at place. We were on a cruise and it did not allow us to enjoy the town afterwards.
The day was enjoyable and I still gave it 5 stars as host and food were both good.

We met our driver outside the gate and he was driving a Mercedes Benz black van. It was very comfortable. There were 8 guests total. We drove about 35 minutes to the other side of the island to the family vineyard. We were met by two chihuahuas that were new to the area.
We started with some history of the family from their son and went into one of the vineyards then tasted 5 of their wines. Our group was lively and got along very well.
Then were took turns making 3 of the dishes we were going to try at lunch! It was so much fun! Loads of laughter and we actually learned how to make them. Then we sat down for lunch and they brought out dish after dish of the tastiest food! The wine was also flowing and it was the best way to spend the day!
We highly recommend this to everyone!

The wine and food tour was exceptional! Jason was our host and proudly introduced us to his family’s vineyard and winery. He was very witty and made our whole experience very enjoyable. The cooking class and lunch were an added plus!

We had a terrific time at the winery. The owner, Jason, was an affable host. He was droll and charming and gave a great overview on the vineyards and how it was run. We tasted five wines, two of which were excellent. The cooking demonstration was a bit of a downer. Putting 100 people around one table made it impossible for many to see what was happening. Also, it went on far too long. The meal itself was fantastic. Meme style but plentiful, delicious, and filling. Lots of wine served with it. We wanted to buy several bottles but they do not ship to the US. Highly recommend.

A small family winery tucked into the rolling hills of Crete, we enjoyed our time learning about the winery and grapes grown on the estate, and were treated to a fantastic lunch, which we got a hand in learning to make. We were mixed in with a couple of other groups at the tables, but by the end of the day we felt like we were with old friends. Jason and team at the winery do an excellent job of providing a slowed down pace to enjoy the tastings and lunch.
10/10 would recommend.

It was such a fun day while enjoying an informative session on Greek wine, culture and food. Excellent hosts and beautiful venue.
Diana_H, Aug 2025
The wine quality is very low. The guide, although knowledgeable, is quite uninspiring. The food was ok but hardly what I would consider a 10 course feast. Lot’s of salads, almost no meat. Try another tour.
Response from Host, Aug 2025
Thank you for your feedback. Taste is a wonderful thing—everyone’s differs—but the wine you tried is widely regarded as one of Rhodes’ best. Fun fact: our winery is the only one on the island officially authorized to produce tsipouro (Greek grappa).
Food-wise, we serve 10 of the most popular Rhodian dishes. If you were craving a 10-course meat feast, a dedicated steakhouse would likely be a better fit than a wine-and-local-cuisine experience—our menu is more “Aegean mezze” than “all-you-can-prime-rib.” 😉 Safe travels!

The total experience lacked organization from the start of the excursion. There wasn’t any briefing on expectations or next steps the bus driver just informed that he would return at 3 PM to pick us up. We spent quite a bit of time on the opening and then was provided the same information as we took a walk through the vineyards. Additionally, we prepared food that is not considered cooking. However, we prepared 15 spaces which would not be enough to serve the large group the tour appears to be overbooked after 2 1/2 hours. We still did not eat the food. We were expecting a 10 course meal therefore most people did not eat all morning expecting to eat and be satisfied by the meals paid for. This tour advertise for $92 per person however, in the end you were charged $152 per person again and still waiting on food for over two hours.. I would not recommend this to anyone.
Response from Host, Aug 2025
We regret to hear that our bestselling tour didn’t meet your expectations. Let us briefly address the concerns you raised:
1. Our drivers are not tour guides—they’re responsible for safe, smooth driving, not commentary during the transfers. We like to keep both the roads and the facts straight!
2. Please note, what’s offered on arrival is not lunch, but a food and wine experience—complete with a wine tour and a cooking class before the meal is served, all in full accordance with the tour description.
3. We’re not sure what your cooking standards are, but according to Greek ones, you prepared three of the most popular local dishes. It’s a pity that didn’t realize😄—but hey, at least the process worked up your appetite!
4. Regarding pricing: on Viator “From” simply means the lowest price during low season. To see the actual cost, just enter your travel date and party size—bingo! It’s that simple.
5. Going forward, booking with Viator we strongly recommend reading and understanding the tour description, rather than relying on personal assumptions. It saves both time and stomach growls!
Wishing you safe—and well-fed—travels ahead!

Great way to spend an afternoon. Jason the host was very welcoming and knowledgeable about the wines. The wines were good.
Cooking class was fun….. but I’d maybe suggest to do that first and then the guest can eat their own creations…. The vine leaves could be cooking while the guest do the tour and wine tasting.
But overall, no complaints - excellent day.

Lovely relaxing fun wine tasting with a little cooking lesson. All outside so no hot kitchen. Made takziki, dolmades and an aubergine salad. Lots of giggles
Terri_R, Jun 2025
Fantastic small group tour. 8 in total. 45 minutes or so from our cruise ship to picking up other guests to vineyard. Loved the insight on the family vineyard, production and tasting. The cooking instruction was short, but perfect in length/fun and gave us time for a lovely lunch. Would recommend!

What a fabulous experience. Small and intimate enough with great variety of guests- 11 in total. Guide was engaging and ensured covered everyone’s level of intregue. Cookery class fun and food was plentiful- along with the unlimited and delicious wine. Can’t recommend this trip this experience enough. We will certainly do this again.

The host was very friendly and informational, we did the wine and cooking course, there was plenty of wine and food. So glad we booked, really enjoyed our day and the wine we really liked was only 12 euros!
Audra_V, Jun 2025
We wanted something hands on and immersive but not too involved and this was a great option while in port from our cruise. Efficient drive to the vineyard where we learned about the wine making process as well as about Greek cuisine. We tasted 5 wines, 3 whites and 2 reds. We then learned how to make three dishes with a hands on experience. After that they served us several tasty plates, 3 of which we made, and everything was delicious. The host is extremely knowledgeable and did a great job. Highly recommend.

A wonderful day outdoors learning about wine, tasting surprisingly exceptional wine and wonderful food. Highly recommend.

This your was much more than what we expected... It was AMAZING, we had the honor of being guided by the Vineyard owners son. He was GREAT, the food was Amazing! Must book!!

We had 6 kids ranging from 11-18 and they all had fun. They enjoyed making the food. Wasn't expecting them to like the food but they all enjoyed it.

This experience was amazing from start to finish! We went on a hen do and the hosting and day was fantastic. I can not recommend this tour enough. If you're looking for something to do as a party/couple it is a brilliant day. We loved the cooking class and sampling the wines and food.

Lovely location, great host, delicious food and a wonderful experience. Would highly recommend. Very relaxed and welcoming.

Truly enjoyable experience. The vineyard was beautiful, Jason, the owner was gracious and welcoming. We learned a great deal about wine from him and then prepared our own meal to be enjoyed by the group. It was wonderful in every way!!
Alison_F, Apr 2025
Rustic experience at a young small winery. Host was quite knowledgeable, spoke excellent English and gave a great presentation. Cooking involved basically preparing salad (and rolling dolmades which weren't cooked/used for our lunch, as no time to cook). So not a full cooking experience. Wine was the bigger focus. Lots of authentic food at lunch. The 'distillery' experience was a 10 minute chat and taste of the 1 item they sell. Was a pleasant enough experience and quite authentic, just wasn't quite what we imagined from the description.
Response from Host, Apr 2025
Thank you for your feedback. We are not sure about the standards back at your home, but according to major European, UK, Canadian, American, etc., ones, a “pleasant enough experience” — which you describe as a “great presentation given in excellent English with a wine focus and lots of authentic food” — usually receives more than a 3-star review, which you kindly granted us.
Luckily, yours is just the second 3-star feedback we have received since running this activity from pre-COVID times (not counting the most "gifted" traveling individuals who could not locate our van, parked right at the pier in front of their cruise ship 😊, and rated us 1 or 2 stars).
That’s correct: we focus on wine, producing only one spirit – souma (Greek grappa) – which was presented and tasted by you. If you were expecting to taste a wider spectrum of spirits, we would highly recommend considering a visit to a big spirit factory somewhere in Northern Europe, rather than a Greek family-owned winery.
You are absolutely right – it is not a full cooking lecture-style experience, but rather a joyful cooking class, presenting the three most popular meals of our island. Guests can see how we cook them and attempt to recreate them with hands-on participation. By the way, those three meals were all part of your 10-course meal with unlimited wine and food provided.
Don’t forget – beauty and love are in the eyes of the beholder.
Wishing you safe and joyful travels!

Wow a little boutique family winery with a big heart. Thoroughly enjoyed the experience from Easy pick up from the ship and drive through the countryside to a pretty spot very hospitable host taking care of all our needs. Explained all the process from planting to drinking. Fabulous authentic Greek ten course lunch and wine included as much as you wanted. Taken back to the ship. Oh had a wee cooking lesson too so lots of hands on learning. Definitely recommend this adventure

Perfect way to spend the day in Rhodes. Learned so much about wine making and tasting. The cooking class was great without being overwhelming too. However! The star of the show was lunch! Worth the price alone. Highly recommend
