Our experience hiking to La Leona Waterfall was absolutely unforgettable, a true highlight of our 50th-anniversary celebration! From the moment we met our amazing guide, Noel, we knew we were in for something special. Noel's expertise and enthusiasm truly enhanced every aspect of the adventure.
This wasn't just an ordinary hike; it was an exhilarating exploration. We felt the thrill of sliding down a natural rock waterslide and took exhilarating leaps from huge boulders into the refreshing river below. The journey itself was an adventure, as we climbed over and under impressive boulders and navigated fallen trees, adding an element of fun and challenge to the trek. Although parts of the hike were challenging, Noel's exceptional guidance and assistance made it entirely manageable and enjoyable for everyone in our group.
Sharing this incredible day with our four children and their spouses made it even more meaningful. The laughter and shared excitement as we navigated the terrain and enjoyed the water activities created memories we will cherish for a lifetime.
La Leona Waterfall is a must-do, and if you have the chance to explore it, we wholeheartedly recommend requesting Noel as your guide. His knowledge of the area and his ability to create a fun and safe environment were exceptional. This hike was the perfect blend of natural beauty and adventurous activity, making our 50th anniversary truly spectacular.
But the adventure didn't end there! We followed our waterfall trek with an incredible tubing experience down the river, which completely blew us away.
While we anticipated a relaxing float, we were thrilled by the unexpected rapids and sudden drops that made the tubing wildly fun and exciting! It was a fantastic contrast to the hike and provided a whole new level of adventure and laughter. What a perfect way to cool off and cap off an already amazing day.
We absolutely recommend combining the La Leona Waterfall hike with the river tubing for a full day packed with natural beauty and thrilling activities. With Noel as our guide for the hike, we felt completely taken care of, and the tubing offered an unexpected dose of adrenaline and joy. An amazing experience! I would highly recommend spending a few hours going to see you the la Leona waterfall. It is a little bit of a strenuous hike, so I would call it moderate. It is all shaded though. I’m really fun. You will get entirely wet, so keep that in mind.We reserved private transport from the El Mangroove hotel, and our driver, Valeria was fantastic! She went above and beyond. There was also lunch included at a restaurant on our way back to the resort.Since we booked the driver, we also stopped at a souvenir shop and minimart. Valeria was amazing and took lots of photos and videos of us along the way and then sent them to us afterward. It was a great day and one of our favorite parts of the trip.
