I thought the tour was a little rushed and I honestly wish I had done the audio tour, which l heard is phenomenal. Pick up and drop off were timely, but I also didn't get through the whole exhibition. People asked questions some but not all were answered. Tour guide was nice.

Alice_H, Mar 2026
Sum Cheath was our guide on the tour and he was great. Communication before the tour on pick up time and dress code. Unimaginable what the Cambodian people were subjected too but I believe it is important to learn about history when you visit a country. Very emotive, thought provoking and informative tour.

Informative, on time, kind and straightforward communication and transportation. Highly recommend, definitely a must-do in Phnom Penh.

Amazing detailed tour of a traumatic subject, all local guides and people.

Amanda_I, Mar 2026
Its full on but the guide is very sympathetic to the fact that its gruelling, you can take your time and step away when you need to

Not what I asked for

Jacqueline_B, Mar 2026
The day I booked the tour, I was given a choice of pick up times. I asked for 9:30. I was called by the tour operator and told they would pick me up at 7:30. I didn’t want to but I agreed. I had difficulty sleeping, as I often do and was up 1/2 the night. I cancelled my pickup around 5:55 am. They didn’t offer a later tour. I would not recommend this tour company.

Response from Host, Mar 2026

Dear Sir, Let me make sure for you and the other travelers who will read this review. Actually, our service doesn’t have 9:30am schedule and before you booked and paid , you have seen clearly that our listing has only two schedules. For the morning is at 8:00am and afternoon is at 1pm. This is the joined tour service so we needed to pick you at your hotel first and earlier at 7:30am as your hotel is up north of our meeting point. and you did agree via WhatsApp. Everything was good and confirmed already a day before the travel date. We need to make sure that at 8:00am, we have to finish picking up all the travelers and start the tour. The other travelers were ready at the time confirmed at their hotels ‘ lobby but you requested us with the option that we don’t have. We have also texted and called you to move to the afternoon schedule at 12:30pm picking up and tour starts at 1pm. But you replied nothing until you drop this nasty review to condemn our service with no good reason. And I hope the other travelers who once read this review will understand the personalities of this traveler. We have many travelers that always drop us the reviews that reflect the realities of our performance with good understanding and clear feedback and reasons except you.

Very informative tour

Amby_W, Mar 2026
I hesitate to use the word enjoyable for this trip which covered such a sombre subject. However, I found it very worthwhile as these events occurred within my memory and it was very valuable to hear a Cambodian’s view of the atrocities. The story was well told with a clarity and passion that can only come from the personal experience of oneself or one’s family. Thank you for a very informative morning. I would recommend this tour to everyone- we need to be aware that this type of human rights violation could easily happen again and we have a collective responsibility to ensure that it does not.

Very good, informative and moving tour of the killing fields and S21 prison. The guide is very knowledgeable and takes you around the sites while also leaving some personal time to explore.

Emotional

Verity_C, Feb 2026
Such a moving and thought provoking trip. Our guide Mr Sok was wonderful, explaining the history but also keeping everything personal and heartfelt. This trip is quite harrowing in parts but when you leave, you are filled with hope. I would highly recommend this trip.

Great tour

Paul_S, Feb 2026
Vidal was very informative and was prompt with pickup. The morning went smoothly and the trip was as described. The only downside was the the bus could have been cleaner, but overall, it was a great tour we recommend.

Very heavy but important!

Jane_K, Feb 2026
I highly recommend this tour. It is a very heavy and sad experience, but definitely important to learn. Our guide, Sum Cheath, was very knowledgeable and helpful. The hotel pickup was convenient and, overall, this was very worth it.

A difficult but important tour to learn about Pol Pots monstrous regime

John_B, Feb 2026
This is a good group tour covering some really difficult topics so be prepared for the harrowing details on Pol Pots regime. The heat and humidity can be overwhelming particularly in the old prison rooms where there are photos of the victims. The provide cold water and ac in the bus. Our tour guide was excellent and knowledgeable and overall this tour was great value for money

It's a tough but necessary tour. Baboon was a great guide. His personal stories about his family's experiences under the Khmer Rouge were heartbreaking.

It’s difficult to say this is a happy thing to do as it definitely is not, however to understand this dark period in Cambodian history you should not look away. The guide & operator were good and knowledgeable, you get time to reflect when you visit the 2 sites, I’d recommend you do this tour.
