Great tour! Chesda was knowledgeable and kept things light when appropriate for such a heavy subject. You could do the same activities alone and use the audio headphones provided at the two locations, but it was better imo to have someone explain the history and context as well, and to be able to answer questions.

It's definitely a must do experience while in Phnom Penh. Our guide, Mr. Baboon, was very knowledgeable and shared his vast knowledge of the history on the Killing Fields, the prison, as well as his own family's ordeal throughout the horrific period. Even though it was heart breaking and harrowing to learn what happened in the country not that long ago, it is also a very important one.
Mr. Baboon also went through some interesting facts on Cambodia and injected some humour to the tour. A shout out to our amazing driver as well, Mr T!

A sad day but must do while in Phnom Penh, our guide mr baboon was excellent and knew all the history of both sites

Great information on what happened during the time and interesting setup, guide was great, will tell others to get there

Our guide Baboon is very knowledgeable with a sense of humour. The tour length is just right. You get all the information you need. Of course you can visit the sites on your own but if you are short of time and want the convenience of a tour, this should be your choice.

Although harrowing to learn about the atrocities committed during the Paul Pot dictarship this was an excellent tour. Our guide spent just the right amount of time at both sites and if was fascinating to listen to one of the survivors. Hotel pick up & drop off an added benefit.

A very thought provoking trip.
It was very well organised and our guide was very informative and respectful in how he described the atrocities that took place.
He spoke excellent English and was easy to understand.

A very difficult topic and extremely sad to see the dark history of Cambodia. Our guide Sum Cheath did a fantastic job at explaining the history and tragic stories behind the killing fields and Khmer Rouge.
One thing to note for future travellers, you must cover your legs, shoulders and back when visiting the killing fields to pay respect to the victims (there is a sign at the front). Luckily I researched this before I visited, but there were a few travellers who did not.

Baboon was a wonderful guide. He prepared us for the difficult day ahead and was an amazing, factual but compassionate story teller. He shared his personal connection as well and expected the tears that were shed

Mr Baboon and Mr Tea were very kind and informative. They'll provide you with water throughout the whole trip. They'll pick you up at your hotel or at a meeting point. As for me, I chose the meeting point since its a min walk from my hotel. They were right on time and on schedule. Along the bus drive, Mr Baboon gave us a brief historical background of the country, gave some tips, and also a restaurant recommendation. He is humorous and funny.
The tour was precisely 4 hrs max. We started at the killing fields since it was a bit father from the city center. The last desti was the S-21 prison. The whole tour was very informative. Highly recommended tour.
Please bear in mind, the tour is not something fun or exciting. The tour tells the dark history of the Cambodian people, so just a heads up, show respect in how you take pictures and your way of clothing. Taking a solo or group picture with the skeletons as a backdrop and smiling is not the way to show respect.

This tour covers a very heavy subject. Baboon was an excellent guide. He has a personal connection to the sites, which increased the meaningfulness of the experience. The whole morning was very smooth. I definitely recommend this company and guide :)

This is an honest genuine exposure to some of Cambodias darkest times. Baboon, our guide, was excellent and he really wanted us to see and feel. His knowledge of the history as well as the current day made this very interesting.

Be prepared for uncomfortable sights and unpleasant commentary, but be sure to go. The guide was very knowledgeable, harsh and honest.

We were honoured to meet two survivors from this horrible event and it was unbelievable the level of inhuman cruelty that occurred
Katherine_T, Sep 2024
Guide Visal had a thorough knowledge of the history and very good English. This was a great tour, very informative.
Alison_P, Jun 2024
This is a potentially difficult tour as the sites you visit are so confronting and complex in nature. The guide was clear in his explanations and didn’t resile from the truth of what had happened here which made it a valuable and important experience.
Matt_P, Apr 2024
Our guide Mr Baboon was brilliant. He was engaging and funny. But was serious when needed telling us about the history. Well worth doing!
Amelia_R, Jan 2024
Very informative, heartbreaking and moving tour. Our tour guide, Mr Baboon was incredibly knowledgable.
Alison_F, Jun 2023
Well done. Although difficult subject matter, our guide was able to share personal family history that brought the story into the present.
Chandni_N, May 2023
Deeply insightful tour of both the killing fields and genocide museum. The guide was knowledgeable and an engaging speaker.
