This was an experience I will never forget. Our guide was so knowledgeable and generous with the time we spent at each stop. The views of the island were breathtaking. Wear comfortably shoes for the hike thru the gorge, bring sunscreen, a camera then sit back and enjoy the ride. Most of the roads are not paved so if you don't like bouncing around or high elevation makes you nervous this is not for you. But if you have an adventurous spirit and your guide has personality, humor and knows Cyprus like the back of his hand you're in for a treat.

It was a full 8 hours and we saw so many wonderful things and even got to spend 45 minutes swimming in the Blue Lagoon! Our driver Pavos was lovely, informative and fun! The place we stopped for for lunch had decent food and there were great stops for drinks and photos on the way. I will say that maybe a bit longer to do the gorge walk would have been nice, felt like it was a race to get to see the rock and get back in time!! The off road driving was very bumpy but it was as you’d expect it to be!! Just hold on!!

This was a very interesting tour and the driver was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. The Avakas National Park was beautiful and the gorge was very impressive!! There was plenty of time to see the sights and the meal at the beach restaurant was great and an amazing view!!

A great day out - I'd probably dock half a star as the guide didn't really introduce himself, and occasionally wanted to stay back while we adventured. But he also handled a situation with a very difficult (spoilt) passenger who didn't take into account that these tours need to be flexible when the weather gets extreme - just go with the flow, make friends, and have fun. P.S. always, I mean always take a coat and a towel. You can leave things in the jeep but the weather in Cyprus will turn corners quicker. Great tour, would recommend.

The experience didn’t include the Avakas Gorge as it’s shut and has been shut for the last 15 days. The advert said it included a hike in the Avakas but the company did not bother to inform in advance that it was shut.
I was last to get on the jeep so had to sit right the back. Due the fact I am 6ft 3”, sitting right over the back wheel, with a very low roof and with extremely bumpy tracks…… I kept bumping my head on the roof. The driver slowed down as he approached the bumps when remembered however I still finished the days with several lumps on my head.
I couldn’t hear the drivers commentary for much of the time. Due to the noise of the engine, the driver didn’t have any amplification, he was facing away from me and he was speaking in English which meant others on the jeep who didn’t speak English weren’t listening and were busy chattering away in their own dialects. Their children were also constantly noisy. I informed the driver I couldn’t hear very well and to be fair he did try and speak up!
All in all it was a bit of a shambles and it’s not a tour I would recommend particularly for anyone who I’d 6ft 3” and wants to listen to the guide.

We had no expectation about this tour but it was so amazing. We were a small group, just us and another couple. Our guide Bambos was amazing, he showed us so many things which were not planned. It was truly amazing.

We enjoyed our Jeep safari today with Bambos. Despite not visiting the Akamas Gorge due to rockfall from yesterday's stormy weather, there was plenty of time for coffee and comfort stops. There was also time to see other places of interest. There was time for lunch at Latchi, but it was getting quite late (15:00 we arrived), so we decided to forego lunch in order to get back to the hotel in good time (16:45). Bambos is a good guide who is knowledgeable about the places we visited. His jeep driving skills are exemplary despite the terrain being very rough in some areas of the Akamas peninsula. I'd recommend sitting in the front-facing seat if you don't fancy having your bones rattled too much at the back.

Mario out driver was a hoot! Lively personality and very affable
Excellent decision to take us to the Avankas gorge first...cool...Cyprus have superb but unusually warm temps week we were there...and only 4 other people there..as we walked back to the jeep hoards of people were heading to the gorge!
Enjoyed a coffee over looking stunning turtle beach, much needed ice cream by the sea in Latchi, and as it was too choppy to swim...only 2 people out of 8 wanted to anyway..Mario suggested going to a winery instead.... SUPER suggestion....real bonus
Finished off by caves and the famous ship wreck...cave scenery beautiful...
Only thing I wouldn't bother with is Aphrodite's grotto....just tourist trap
We all had a really enjoyable, fun, rewarding day....highly recommend it!
Plus Mario picked us up from our hotel although it wasn't in the pick up list...much appreciated

A fully packed day with lots of information. A good trip to see parts of the Pahos area not easily accesible by public transport. Our guide, Mario, was a native Cypriot who was very knowledgable. Lots of stops, no feelings of being rushed, plenty of toilets too. Would highly reccomend.

This was the best activity on our trip to Cyprus! Mario was our guide and he was the best - really friendly and chatty, he had all the information we needed about the sights, and life in Cyprus. He was flexible with how long we spent at each stop and what order we did them in, to make sure everyone had a good time.
The sea swimming stop in particular was amazing, and we loved seeing the mountain villages from the jeep. We even stopped to try a carab from a tree, which was delicious.

The jeep ride is over rough terrain and this off-roading allows you to see and hike in the beautiful Akama national park, see vineyards, carob and olive plantations, and even a tiny 12th century church which not many tourists get to see. This would have been impossible with a regular rented car. We also got to swim in the mediterranean for a full hour after seeing Aphrodite's baths and then had a delicious fish lunch in Latsi. The day concluded by seeing the Edro III Shipwreck and sea caves. Worth every cent, and our tour guide was very friendly and engaging.

Really enjoyable day out, collected from the hotel by Philipas who kept us laughing from the minute we got in until the minute he dropped us home! Philipus kept us entertained with funny stories as well as loads of local history. Visited some really beautiful spots and even had time to stop for a beer on the side of the road on the way home... We were generally unhappy with our experience due to various reasons. We felt the ride massively lacked comfort, which should have been priority for them to address, considering it was an all day trip. More significantly the tour guide passed on very little knowledge to our group - resulting in the trip being terribly mundane. The itinerary lacked description, therefore we didnt bring all necessary items with us to allow for our full enjoyment. Furthermore the itinerary wasn’t adhered to which was slightly annoying as we could not plan for the next stop - each (next) stop was not communicated with us either. Disappointingly, we spent very little time at each stop too and the whole trip felt rushed. The driver didnt deliver on exhilaration either, which is fundamental to a safari trip in my opinion - we were going at about 20mph all the way. The only good aspect of the trip was the ride arrived on time and dropped us off within the specified timescale. I would not recommend.

Such a wonderful excursion, very varied from tracking through a gorge to seeing a shipwreck, and from seeing a frog to a donkey.
Our guide was Mario who was very knowledgeable, he didn't rush us at all and gave us enough time in each location.

Be prepared for a 9 hour day, at least 7 of those will be spent squashed on a bench with 8 people in a land rover. You may be luckier than we were but our driver had not fully mastered the use of gears and clutch. Most of roads we travelled on were unpaved and dusty, with deep ruts that we were driven into at speed, getting tossed around. The first stop was the rusting wreck of a cargo ship. I don't understand why this has been designated a tourist attraction because it's a saf and ugly thing in an otherwise lovely bay.
We were also driven a long distance ato Lara Bay where there would have been turtles, possibly in May. There we were shown some old (1980s) photos (by the driver, with limited English) of turtle hatchling and conservation in a shed , then left to admire the beach. We hiked into the gorge but were not permitted to cross to the dramatic bit that's shown in Viator ad for this tour. Aphrodite's Baths is a pond with vines growing above it, nice but not owrth the 1 hour drive to get there.
There was a compulsory lunch at a hotel restaurant, we were given laminated photos of about 5 dishes to choose from. Go for the fish or pork chop, everything else is pretty deeply fried, and not in a good way.
Our group was evenly split between English and Russian speakers. The tour guide herself was russian with intermediate level English and not a lot of knowledge about Cyprus or the sites we visited so after been thrown around in the land rover for an hour or so, the commentry became less and less compelling.
It was a huge relief to get back to our hotel, where we spent the next two days recovering from this experience.

Mario the tour guide was great and took us to some places which weren't even on the itinerary, took photos and shared about the history and traditions of Cyprus. The roads were bumpy but we had a great group of 5 and enjoyed all the stops. The meal at Lachi was also lovely, despite a lot of restaurants and bars closed for the season. The views from the mountains are gorgeous especially if you like untouched landscapes.

Mario was a really great tour guide. He was professional, structured, organized, adaptable, humorous, entertaining, knowledgeable without being condescending l. I had 3 tours with the some company ConstrucTour and this one was by far the best of the 3. The other were a City Tour in Larnaca and Cultural Tour in Limassol. Not while both tours offered great options different parts of Cyprus; it was lackluster and not personable with 40 0lus big size tour group vs the intimate 8 ppl Jeep Safari Tour. It made ir easier for Mario to keep it personal with his group. However, ir was because of his fun natured attitude that made the excursion more engaging and fun.
We got to see quite a few things such as Akamas, Sea Caves, Shipwreck, Porto Latchi, Blue Lagoon Beach area, Avakas Gorge, Aphrodite Baths, etc.
Mario was very accommodating to the group. He was careful to pay attention to details that personalize each group member and was alert to "read the room". Mario was a good guy who wanted to make sure you were comfortable. Compared to the other years offered in Cyprus, I would say this is the best option for those who want to do as much with the little time they have in Cyprus.

I've been to Paphos a couple of times so already done quite a few excursions. What makes this different is the small group journey Akamas National Park in a jeep, including off road and normal road travelling. Really enjoyed the additional stop offs but stopping off early to see the national park was brilliant for photo opportunities. But most importantly was our tour guide, Mario's energy. From the start he was very positive, fun and humorous, bringing great energy, whilst also giving us knowledge and facts on Cypriot history and the sights we were seeing. Liked the fact how he engaged with the group. Mario is great and I would definitely recommend doing this tour with him!

The stops were as described, except due to weather reasons we ended up going to Coral Bay Beach and the lunch stop was near the Baths of Aphrodite. The guide Mario was friendly and lively, sharing a lot of interesting tidbits on the road and at the stops. The Land Rover we traveled in was comfortable. All the stops except for the Baths of Aphrodite were interesting, but even there the sea views were amazing. I would have appreciated a little more hiking, but still it was a good way to explore the Akamas Peninsula.

We certainly understand that hiking can be a great way to discover the insights of the Akamas Peninsula, but for this tour we always ensure safety is paramount and also the abilities of the other passengers on the tour, but we do look at all of our passengers review for improvements.

Fun day out. Guide mario picked us up on time, introduced himself and fellow passengers, really friendly knowledgeable driver and good fun too. Took us to the gorge early to avoid the crowds and then on to turtle beach, Aphrodites baths, then a stop for lunch (at your own cost) then wine tasting at Sterna Winery which was fab (extra Euro5 for this but really worth going) and then to coral beach for a swim. Only negative is the windows in the back of the jeep had a mesh covering which meant it harder to see out however it didn't dampen the day. Can recommend this fine little tour. Mario was great and looked after everyone!
