It was a great experience. The pick up from the centre of Ohrid was easy to arrange, the drivers was lovely. The setting of the winery was great and the food platter was great. I requested a vegan platter for 1 friend and they accommodated this. The man who told us about the wines was interesting and we tried 5 wines and a rakia. We had a lift back to Ohrid. The tour was interesting too. Would recommend!!

A perfect mix of a bit of local history, delicious wines and a very charming host. Booked to keep someone into wine entertained. It absolutely delivered for him and even for those us less knowledgeable about wine. Firm recommend.

Absolutely loved this experience which was a honeymoon treat. The service, the team, the location were all amazing. So informative and a really unique must do experience. 5 different Wines and snack platter were all delicious, even though I’m a red drinker all the red, whites and rose’ we sampled were beautiful!

We were picked up from our hotel and given an informative talk while driven into the mountains. Monastery’s winery magical at first glance. The building and terrace were beautiful, and the welcome was genuine. We enjoyed 6 hours of hospitality with a wide selection of wines and spirits. The hosts were friendly and the service was professional. The charcuterie board was substantial and helped soak up the alcohol! We would recommend the experience without a doubt! Excellent.

Beautiful setting for a wine tasting with a small tour of the winery. Interesting to learn and try some Rakija straight from the vat (70%). Friendly staff and a nice cheese and meat platter to accompany the wine. The nearby chapel is worth a look too.

This is a very laid back pleasant experience. The winery is in the mountains in a very beautiful setting. We had a tour of their wines production facility and then had a lovely time enjoying the charcuterie platter in learning about their various varieties of wine. We would recommend this tour to anyone wanting a relaxing time to enjoy some excellent wine with friends.

I highly recommend this experience. Had an absolutely wonderful time visiting the winery and tasting the wines. Everyone I met was so warm and friendly and really made me feel welcome. I was picked up by Stefan and David and along the way, Stefan shared what was unique about the 3 villages we drove through on the way to the winery. Once we arrived at the winery, I was warmly welcomed. I sat inside due to the weather conditions. I was served a lovely cheese and charcuterie (locally smoked) board that went well with the wines. Tried a rakija, 2 white wines, 1 rose wine, 3 red wines, and a gin. Halfway through the tasting, Stefan (winemaker, not same person as who picked me up) walked me through the production process and happily answered all my questions. As Monastery Winery wines can only be found in 2 restaurants in Ohrid, I decided to pick up a bottle to take with me and it was fun to bottle and label it myself.

We signed up for this tour while in Ohrid and it was phenominal. They picked us up from the city center and dropped us back off so we did not have to worry about driving or a taxi. Once we were there they showed us the wine making process and even let my wife try to place a wine label on a bottle and use the cork machine.
But the best part was what followed, the wine tasting. We sampled 5-6 different wines and had a small charcuterie board to pair things with. The wines were all delicious and our host was very knowledgeable in the different blends and vintages.
Once they found out we were also celebrating our honeymoon, they brought an extra glass for us to try and toasted with us.

Best decision I made was going to this place. The wine was good, I loved the backstory of how the place became to what it is today. Besides the wine and the snacks being really good the people that work there made the experience a 10/10!

The setting of the winery is beautiful. Jovana, the server, is very friendly, informative, professional and fun. The winemaker, Simon, shared his wine making story in a very relaxed and cheerful manner. We felt like one of the family and there were hugs all around when we left. Highly recommend this experience. The best wine tasting/tour we have ever been on and we have done many in wine regions around the world. Thank you Jovana and Simon!

The information shared was very informative and we had a lot of fun. The wines are super tasty and we were enjoying the atmosphere so much that we forgot to visit the church there next to the winery! Haha. We will have to visit again!!

We were seated when we arrived and were given a welcome drink. Once the rest of our group arrived we had a tour of the winery by Simon. He was very entertaining and he held everyone's attention. It was so interesting how the wine & gin was made and his stories were hilarious. Afterwards sampled some really lovely wines, along with local meats, cheeses & Olives.

We had an amazing time at the monastery wine tasting. The location is fantastic, probably 5 degrees cooler than the village, and with a great breeze - so in the summer heat you will cool down instantly. The wines, gin and charcuterie board were all really good, and the staff was super friendly. Would highly recommend.

Brilliant afternoon, from Stefan the driver, to Stefan the co owner of the winery, and Anastasia our server , all were brilliant . Only 3 of us there so was a very personal experience in a cool, beautiful setting. Wines were all lovely, food, plentiful and very tasty . It was interesting to see around the monastery. It was fantastic value for money.

Friendly owners who made sure our visit was memorable. Beautiful setting out in the countryside. All 5 wines we tasted were different and excellent in quality. We also tried their homemade Raki and Gin. No complaints. Delicious food to compliment it all. Fabulous 3 hours. Great value for money.. Highly recommend 👌. Thankyou

Had an amazing experience at Monastery Winery! The pick up and drop off service was on time and very helpful. We were greeted at the winery by Stefan the owner who gave us a tour of their facilitates and an overview of products they produce and the process. The wine tasting and food was amazing as were all the staff we interacted with and the ambience of the site itself was very nice and relaxing. Highly recommend when visiting Ohrid!
