Was a good experience however the same with the sunset cruise they offer, felt slightly overbooked for the size of the boat as everyone is seated upstairs on the deck squished together rather than split between the two levels. Staff were nice and friendly. The timing were not great however, at naum is a very small area and 3 hours felt too long as there are only 3 restaurants and very few shops. Bay of bones is shut on Mondays which is advertised however you pay the same amount to not go and have your day cut 40 minutes short as we went straight past on the boat without stopping for a look.

Thank you for sharing your detailed feedback and for highlighting our friendly staff and overall good experience!
We appreciate your comments regarding seating and trip duration. While passengers often prefer the top deck for the views, we encourage guests to use the lower level for a more spacious experience, and we will work on guiding seating better during busier trips. Regarding Saint Naum, we aim to give guests ample time to explore, visit the monastery, and enjoy a relaxed meal, though we understand that preferences on duration vary.
Regarding Mondays at the Bay of Bones, because the museum complex itself is closed, we run a direct route so guests can enjoy a longer, relaxed cruise on the lake instead. We truly value your feedback as it helps us fine-tune our itineraries and service. We hope to welcome you back again on Lake Ohrid!

Great your for those that like venturing on their own! There is enough time to explore the sites on the itinerary and go swimming in the lake! The lakefront has rentable chairs and umbrellas but bring your own towel. You can purchase drinks/snacks from nearby shops. The monastery and springs are worth the visit. The boat ride was very relaxing. Enough seating up stairs. It gets very hot in the afternoon and there wasn’t enough shaded spots for all of us. Downstairs wasn’t air conditioned despite the tour advertised as such. That’s my only criticism of the tour.

Great, friendly staff.
Reasonably priced drinks on board.
No guide or commentary, but if you've done your homework beforehand you'll know about the place/s you're visiting.
Bay of Bones is a quick 20 min ish stop. Interesting archeology but you won't be missing a great deal if you look at it from the landing stage. 150mkd, just over £2 to have a look.
St Naum was nice. 150mkd to get in the main church, we wandered in with a group. Its very beautiful inside but you'll literally be in there for minutes as its very small.
You can get a row boat ride 300mkd pp on the fresh water lake that's fed from the mountains. Never in my life have I seen such clear water. Lake water is totally drinkable.
Take your swim things as you'll definitely have time for a swim in the lake.
There are restaurants but we took our own lunch as didn't know what waiting time for meals were.
All in all we found it a great trip. €20 pp if booked in ohrid as opposed to €45 with tui. Row boat ride included with tui.

Had a really good time. Enjoyed the whole day.
Boat was fine St Naum was well worth visiting. The bay of bones not so much especially having to was it for late returns should have left them.
Rest of trip was excellent enjoyed it all, Monestary, springs, beach and restaurant we used.

Weather was hot & sunny - perfect!
Boat left on time and made a short stop at the Bay of Bones Museum (30 mins). As always there were some passengers confused about the 1135 hrs departure time and despite the captain honking his horn multiple times they still meandered back to the boat looking at their watches! 🙄
Next stop was at the monastery where we had 3 hours of free time. It was lovely wandering around at leisure. Delighted to see the peacocks especially when one displayed all its feathers 😍
Left St Naum around 3.15pm and was back in Ohrid about 4.30pm.
Lovely peaceful day out with attentive staff serving drinks. Would definitely recommend.

At the last minute we were told we would not stop at the Bay of Bones which was almost as disappointing as finding out the trip was only five hours, not the seven-hour experience we had paid for, and planned on having for a quick hike to Albania. With a shortened amount of time at Naum, this was not possible. The explanation for the change was that the boat needed to be back to Ohrid by 6 o’clock since they had another booking.

Perfect way to spend a day in Ohrid. Enough time at each stop, very comfortable boat, friendly staff
Rebecca_B, Sep 2025
First stop felt rushed but rest of trip was lovely. Language translation was good. Crew were friendly. Boat clean and comfortable.
Jane_B, Sep 2025
Good trip, not too many on board so was comfortable. Able to purchase drinks on board. Could have done with slightly longer at Bay of Bones, right amount of time at St Naum. We would have preferred a tour with commentary on the boat and a guide at the Monastery, but due to the last minute booking this wasn’t available, however this tour was fine.

The trip is great value. Lovely boat with an excellent selection of drinks. Relaxing way to spend a day.
Tina_C, Aug 2025
There is a stop at Bay of Bones but only for about 30 minutes. By the time I stood in line to pay for a ticket there was no time to truly the sight before having to rush to get back on the boat. Then there is 3 hours at St Naum which was more than needed.
Sonja_R, Aug 2025
The boat trip was comfortable and the staff were very helpful but the time spent at Sv Naum needs to be longer
Ute_H, Jul 2025
It was a wonderful boat trip. We loved the view. Staff was super nice and everything was on time.
Be aware that this is a boat tour only, no guide. This is why we booked it.
Joanne_S, Jul 2025
Great, good value, the monastery is a very good place to see and the beaches around are beautiful. Recommend.
Mariana_d, Jun 2025
The activity is only the boat to and back St. Naum. It worked pretty well. There is a stop on the bay of the bones museum and you have three hours to explore St. Naum monastery and surroundings. my only point is that I think that for the visit at St. Naum area, 2 hours would be enough.
I also remove one star because the wifi was not working well
Donna_R, Jun 2025
Boat Armada was very clean and comfortable with clean toilets. Nice ride to the Monastery Naum. This tour is just transportation to the Monastery and back. You can do the Monastery tour, rowing tour, shopping, and lunch on your own. Then take the boat back to Ohrid. On the way there, the boat stop at the Bay of Bones where you can walk around for about 20 minutes.

Everything about this tour is amazing- from the cruise to the beautiful destination of St Naum Monastery. Beautiful. Would definitely recommend .

You have to consider that you will travel on a quite big boat, with a lot of people (mostly organized tour with big groups). Despite that, the day was nice and enjoyable.
Sheila_C, Sep 2024
We were glad we picked this boat when we saw the seating on other boats. We were able to chill against comfy cushions with a drink and nice music. The staff were great and helpful especially getting on and off boat. The monastery and gardens are lovely. The restaurant next to the monastery was nice and good price for lunch.
Claire_A, Jul 2024
The boat was comfortable and not overcrowded compared to the other boats providing the same trip. Staff were friendly, drinks were reasonably priced, good WiFi on board. The monastery was pretty but our highlight was the rowing boat through the springs which cost 300 denars pp if you shared the boat , our boatman was very knowledgable and the springs themselves were stunning. Lunch options in the restaurants were plentiful and again reasonably priced. We are not beach people but enjoyed sitting where the springs flow into the lake, very cool and relaxing. All in all a lovely day out .
Bianca_C, Jul 2024
Nice stops at Bay of Bones and Naum Monastery with beach time. Good coffee and friendly staff on the boat too!
Sean_M, Jul 2024
It was a boat ride. Nothing more. We didn't even stop at the Bay of Bones. We got to the monastery at 11:30 and the captain said, "be back, 3:45." We were left to wander on our own without a tour. It was boring.
Anthony_G, Jul 2024
A very lovely cruise and a great place to visit
Worth the money a full day out and reasonable price for food and drink at the monastery
Bo_O, Jul 2024
Comfortable and well organised cruise. Friendly staff. Interesting destination. Price is very competitive.
Tams_S, Jun 2024
Our first stop was the Bay of Bones, an archaeological site of pre-historic pile-dwelling, followed by the main attraction, St. Naum Monastery where we had about three hours to look around and have lunch at a pricey restaurant.
The monastery had a beautiful view of the crystal-clear waters of the lake as well as the Albanian shore.
sally_f, Jun 2024
Value for money for the boat trip. Not long enough at Bayof Bones as the boat was late and had 25mins - hour too long at St N. 2 hours plenty. Worth it for the boat ride though.
Nicky_H, Jun 2024
Well organised boat trip on the lake with enough time to visit both sites. Everything ran on time, good commentary on board, boat was comfortable. Value for money and recommend while in Ohrid!
Stephen_A, Jun 2024
St Naum is so beautiful, restaurant in the spring was excellent. Not enough time at Bay of Bones. Would probably take a trip there on its own as looked very interesting. Definitely worth the 20 euros.
michael_c, May 2024
We are two adult plus two 14 year old boys and their grandmother. Good trip for everyone. Lake was so flat and the weather was lovely. We first stopped at Bay of Bones. Cost to get in was 150MKD Adults / 60 MKD children (£2 / 83p). There was enough time (even with a 70 year old) to see the huts and museum and still walk up to the remains of small Roman fortress for great views.
After that we went to St Naum monastery. We had three hours there which was long enough to visit monastery, get lunch, walk the path around the springs and visit the other churches, plus stop and sit down by lake for drinks and ice cream.
We ate at Cuba Libra which was just ok. Dearer than restaurants at Ohrid, but still a lot cheaper than UK prices. Food was average, salads & chips that were supposed to come with meals came out almost immediately, rest of food took 15-20 longer !?
There’s two other restaurants there and a beach bar. I recommend trying them rather than Cuba Libra.
Drinks on board boat were very reasonable (we only drank soft drinks and coffee) but lots of people had alcohol which was also reasonably priced.
Seats were comfort able and it was a great trip.

Very nice trip with a nice boat (good variety of drinks available). Different than other boat trips, because of comfortable chairs („club atmosphere“).
