After pick-up, you’ll be transferred to the trailhead for a guided hike on Galicica Mountain, the natural boundary between Lake Ohrid and Lake Prespa and one of North Macedonia’s most stunning national parks. Known for its rich biodiversity and vast landscapes, Galicica is home to the country’s highest peak, Magaro (2,254 m). The hike starts along forested slopes and is led by an experienced mountain guide. Along the way, you’ll discover diverse flora and fauna and enjoy spectacular viewpoints overlooking Lake Ohrid, nearly 500 meters below. The route passes through three traditional mountain villages, offering insight into local life and how residents historically survived the region’s harsh winters. After about 2 hours and 3 km of scenic hiking, you’ll reach a secluded beach accessible only by boat. Relax on your private sun bed (included), swim in the lake, or enjoy lunch at the beachside restaurant (at your own expense) before returning. Don’t forget your swimwear and towel.

The North Macedonian city of Ohrid is known for its medieval Old Town, historic churches, and stunning lakeside setting. On this tour, get to know the city and take in all the highlights with a local guide. Visit landmarks including Samoil’s fortress, the Church of St. John at Kaneo, and St. Sofija church; browse the stalls at the Charsija bazaar; and enjoy views across Lake Ohrid.

Once we arrive at Bitola, on the right, you can see Mount Pelister and Pelister National Park, which is the smallest but oldest national park in Macedonia. It is famous for its ancient Molika pine trees and many other different types of flora and fauna and it conserves some rare glacial lakes, the Pelister Eyes. It is a famous winter ski resort with hotels and ski-lifts. In Bitola we visit the church of St. Dimitri. Then we just have a quick glance at Yeni Mosque, built in 1559 which is now an art gallery, then the Yahdar-Kadi Mosque (built in 1562) and the Isak Mosque (built in 1508-09). At the heart of the town is the Clock Tower. The River Dragor runs through the town. Sirok Sokak (a long pedestrian area) is renowned for the beautiful old houses that belong to the 19th-century architecture. Bitola is a town of consulates, also the town where the Manaki brothers, famous for their pioneering work with the camera, opened their Studio of Art Photography in 1905.
