This is not just a distillery tour or tasting — it’s an agritourism experience designed to reconnect you with the land and the culture of North Macedonia. Far from crowds and noise, the valley is a peaceful sanctuary, ideal for nature lovers, culture seekers, and anyone curious to taste something organic and natural. Distillery Balakija itself is a visual delight — a charming ensemble of stone and wood structures, thoughtfully designed to blend seamlessly into the natural surroundings. Traditional Macedonian architecture meets a modern boho aesthetic, creating a warm and stylish atmosphere that feels both rustic and refined. Whether you're relaxing on the terrace overlooking the river or sipping rakia in the underground cellar, every corner of Balaklija invites you to slow down and soak in the beauty. You will taste premium rakija (brandy), homemade fruit liquors crafted from handpicked fruits from the garden, homemade wine, and food specialties prepared from seasonal produce.
