A very easy transition to those that think they are afraid of heights, while sensing a safe feeling of soaring around the sky like a giant bird with a large wingspan! From this experience, in my opinion most likely for most people, would take the next step and tandem jump out of an airplane. You receive both the free fall experience, plus soaring around gently like a big bird in the sky! Tandem guide was exceptional, and very friendly! 5* plus!

The injury, the stalking, and the picture.

To start, once we arrived, someone paragliding crashed into a tree and they had to get her down and remove her parachute from the tree. While this raised some concerns, we decided to continue to wait for our turn. With little to no attention from the staff, we had to wait for over an hour for our chance to go up the mountain. The staff barely spoke to us, which made us feel a little uneasy. Right before takeoff, my partner (a 22 year old girl) was approached by staff who took an unconsenual photo with her spontaneously and made a comment after in vietnamese that she couldnt understand. The man who she was paragliding with then punched the man who took the photo on the shoulder, so we are unsure on whether or not it was inappropriate in nature. During her flight, the instructions were either very unclear or entirely omitted especially during takeoff and landing, as the instructor/ pilot spoke very little english compared to my instructor/pilot. The flight lasted about 10 minutes, and although my landing was okay, her instructor crash landed them on a rocky dirt road (in the middle of a grassy field) leading to injury and bleeding over multiple limbs. She was apologized to very briefly, and staff did not have sufficient medical supplies for the injuries (two bandaids to be exact, which did not cover all of her scrapes). However, the one positive was that the english speaking guide gave clear instructions during my flight and landing and drove us (notably was texting on his phone for the entire 2 hour drive) to the pharmacy afterwards to get the wounds cleaned and paid for medical supplies. However, later that night, their instagram account (Hanoi Paragliding) found my partner’s instagram, despite her not providing it to anyone there. The booking was additionally under my name, meaning that they had to go out of their way to search for her social media and view her story, despite not tagging them or providing any social media information. Very unsafe experience that made us feel uncomfortable in numerous ways. As said before, the man who spoke fluent english was kind and we appreciated his help, but otherwise this was a very unsafe experience to have, especially while on holiday in a different country.

Dear Darcy_H, we are very sorry for making you feel uncomfortable during your experience with us. However, we believe that differences in culture, behavior, and expectations have made you feel bad. And we have no intention of negatively impacting you and your partner. Now let us walk you through the events, explain what happened, to resolve misunderstandings and to put your mind at ease. And hopefully you will have a different opinion of us. - Logistics: It was a busy day for us with lots of customers on the list. Your booking is with the Hotel transportation package, with shared transportation to the site, and no priority to fly. We have arrange for you to come later than the others, in a private car (both way) without paying extra, to avoid longer waiting time. Upon your arrival, you were greeteed, then we told you that we gonna fly with you at the next turn (in 1 hour). You were guided to wait at the club house, with shelter, wifi, fan, water, restroom and free to roam around to explore. After the flights you were sent back and the whole trip take approx 6 hours which is including nearly 1 hour to treat the wounds. - Communication and behaviour: We have English and non-English speaking staff, some are fluently, some only have enough for the flight (take off, landing, emergency situation). Some might be over-friendly and would like to take pictures, socialize with you and joking with others, while some might not. Just relax and don’t overthink it, we always try to treat you with sincerity and respect, respond to your inquiries. But if you don’t talk to us, we would assume that you are ok. - Safety: Paragliding is an extreme sport. Crash landing, unfortunately, happens sometimes due to wind gradient, condition changing, bad decisions. Our pilots had try their best to protect your partner during the event, as well as treat the scratches (which could be avoid by wearing long sleeves, pants). We believe the scratch has healed and there's nothing serious affect your trip. - Social networking: Everyday our staff are scrolling through hundreds of thousands of news articles on social media. If by any chance your public news were suggested to us (by activities, locations, ages, etc…) we would just keep scrolling through and maybe sometimes drop a friendly reaction then continue with our daily work and life. So you don’t need to be worry. Finally, we hope our explanation has dispelled any doubts you may have. We greatly appreciate your participation and hope you will only remember the fond memories you shared with us.

7才と10才の子ども二人含む家族４人で利用しました。とってもおすすめです！体験の素晴らしさは皆様の投稿でわかると思うので、私は注意点だけを。 1.現地集合プランは、往復の車手配ができなければ選択してはいけません。往路はgrabでいけても、帰りの車が見つかりません。 2.離陸ポイントに戻るフライトより、下山になるフライトのほうが風景に変化があって楽しそうです。これは飛ぶ順番や天候次第になるようです。 3.誰と同じグループなのか、スタッフの方が間違えないように何度か伝えるとよいです。取り違えが起こるとそれぞれのグループで最後の人のフライトを待ちながら長時間待つことになります。 4.12月末の山頂は曇るとかなり寒くなります。防寒着を着ていき暑かったら脱ぐ、がおすすめです。私はインナーダウン×ゴアテックスでしたがそれでも寒すぎました。最後に、帰りの車を確保できず路頭に迷うところだった私たち家族をハノイまで送ってくださったパイロットの皆様、本当にありがとうございました。定員オーバーでギュウギュウになってしまうのに、我々を乗せてくださったこと大変感謝しております。ありがとうございました。
