Our guide Adam gave us a running commentary explaining all the sights. This is a must do tour for a real taste of Monaco and Monte Carlo. We had plenty of free time to explore on our own and do the activities that interested us. Adam also took us to a number of great sights for photos. We enjoyed this tour very much.

Misrepresented tour

There was significant confusion on the pick-up spot, we booked a full-day tour of Eze, Monte Carlo and Monaco but got a half-day of this area plus other areas where we had no interest in going. Spent half the time in a mini-van and was rushed through the areas that we wanted to explore. The tour guide was not a guide and basically a driver to get us from one point to the next. We were very disappointed with this tour.

Beautiful Destinations, Terrible Execution — Poor Communication and Left Stranded with No Ride in Monaco

This tour was deeply disappointing and frustrating from start to finish, and I would caution anyone considering it to look elsewhere unless the company makes some serious improvements in communication, structure, and reliability. What should have been a beautiful, memorable day along the French Riviera quickly devolved into confusion, mismanagement, and eventually being stranded in Monaco with no clear idea of how we were getting home. The problems began almost immediately. About 10 minutes into the excursion, after everyone had been picked up, we learned that my friend and I had been booked on a completely different itinerary than everyone else. We booked the full day tour in Èze and Monaco/Monte-Carlo and everyone else was on the half-day version as they were going to Cannes/Antibes in the afternoon. There was no prior communication about this, and it seemed that the driver was just as surprised to learn that we had a different itinerary. He told us not to worry and that we would just stay in Monaco and that a colleague of his would be the one to pick us up later. That kind of uncertainty about how and when you’re getting back from a day-long excursion is not something you want to hear at 8:30 in the morning, and it set the tone for what ended up being a very unstructured and unprofessional day. Our first stop was at a scenic lookout point along the coast, which was stunning. But we were given only a few minutes there, not nearly enough time to actually enjoy the views and take photos. It felt rushed and checklist-driven, like the tour was more focused on covering stops in name than offering a meaningful experience. This theme continued throughout the day. The visit to Fragonard Perfume Factory in Èze was, in fairness, one of the more enjoyable parts of the day. The guided portion was informative and well done, and I genuinely would have liked to spend more time there. Unfortunately, as soon as the tour ended, we were rushed out and given almost no time to browse the shop afterward. That was especially disappointing since I was planning to buy several scents but didn’t feel like I had a chance to make thoughtful selections. It felt more like we were being herded from one stop to the next instead of being given the opportunity to actually experience them. Next was a brief stop in Èze village, which again, had so much potential. This ancient hilltop town is absolutely beautiful and full of charming alleys and little shops, but we had hardly any time to explore it. There wasn’t enough time to stop in any of the stores, take in the views, or even walk through the full area. Things truly fell apart in Monaco. We were dropped off around 11:00 AM and, contrary to what I understood when booking this tour, there was no structured guiding whatsoever—just pure free time from drop-off onward. No tour, no itinerary, no introduction, not even a recommended route or map. We were simply told to enjoy Monaco and that we’d be picked up sometime between 5:00 and 5:30 PM near the casino. That seemed like a long stretch of unstructured time, but I trusted there would be clear communication about the pickup. There wasn’t. I was told by our driver from the morning, Christian, that I would hear from his colleague after 2:00 PM and if not, to message him. Around 2:20, I hadn’t heard from anyone, so I sent him a WhatsApp message. No reply. I called him. No answer. With growing concern, I did some investigating until I dug up the name of the local tour operator: French Riviera Sightseeing. I went to their website and messaged the contact number listed on WhatsApp. To my shock, they told me the other driver that was picking us up to wouldn't be arriving until 7:30 PM and that we had “free time”. Keep in mind: we had been completely on our own since 11:00 AM. That meant we were expected to entertain ourselves in Monaco with no plan, no communication, and no support for over 8 hours. When I responded that this was not acceptable and that we were told to expect a 5:00–5:30 PM pickup, they replied that 7:00 PM would be the earliest possible and asked if that was “okay” with me. It was not okay. By that point it was about 3:30 PM. We had been out since early morning, we were tired, and we had lost all trust in the organization and reliability of this tour. There was no accountability, no apology, and no attempt to fix the situation—just a vague shrug of responsibility and a “let us know if that works for you” message. I didn’t feel confident that the driver would even show up at 7:30 given the level of communication so far. So we made the decision to take the train back to Nice at our own expense, something that should never be necessary on a pre-booked, fully paid tour. This entire experience was marked by poor communication, lack of structure, and a complete absence of customer care. The destinations themselves are beautiful, but you’re better off visiting them on your own using public transportation or a private guide than trusting this company with your day. What we were promised was a guided experience through the Riviera with time to explore—what we received was a glorified drop-off service that abandoned us in Monaco and hoped for the best.

Disappointed!

We had heard great things about Viator however we were so disappointed. Our guide spoke little English. He tried! He tried to get us from Nuce to Monoco and Monte Carlo but because of the Grand Prix everything was closed!!! We had to return to Nice! The tour company should have know this was happening!! Our next day tour was canceled because the vehicle we were to use was in an accident!!! Really??? They have promised to reimburse me but I can’t contact them now!! BIG DISAPPOINTMENT! Check other your companies!!!

Good Transport, Bad Tour

This was not so much a tour as transportation from place to place. The only "tour" was that of Fragonard Parfumeur, with the obligatory stop in the shop at the end. We were rushed from place place to place with little time to explore in Èze. We were mostly left to ourselves in Monaco besides a short drive around the circuit used to racing. After the guide took the people back to Nice after the hald-day tour, I was left alone in Monaco for 5 hours until the "full-day" tour was over. Overall, I would not recommend unless you want easy transportation to these areas, as one of the few positives was direct pick-up from your accommodation.

Antonio, our tour guide was a very nice gentleman but very difficult to understand given his strong accent. The tour was very rushed. I picked this tour because we were supposed to have a good amount of free time in Monaco which we did not. All in all I think we saw what we were supposed to see but it was rushed.

The tour started out really great, went to Eze Villiage and LOVED it! The perfume factory was a fun and unexpectedly great experience. Our guide, Parfait was awesome! He spoke in 3 different languages for all guests, he gave history and information very well. I learned a lot. He made a couple special stops for some awesome views to take pictures at and he got us to the Monaco Palace just in time for the changing of the guards, which was a great experience to be a part of. However, I was a full day tour of Monaco and the rest of the guests were continuing onto Antibes and Cannes. I was going to spend the rest of the day in Monaco and they were all going to leave. I was not expecting to be separated from the group and the driver. I was told 3 different pick up times in Monaco and thankfully my cell phone worked in order to get the call from the new driver. It was challenging to enjoy my day in Monaco when my pick up timing had changed from 530pm-420pm-520pm. That hour difference had me rushing to make it back by 420 when I get a call that the driver was going to be an hour later and I got that hour back, but had already rushed through my day. They did their best to accommodate, but I was not expecting to be left completely by myself. Service side was great, operationally was not what I expected. Great tour otherwise!
