We had a fun experience with the crew who were very accommodating and engaged with everyone on the cruise. We were lucky enough to see 2 humpback whales! The captain was able to circle around the whales for about 30 minutes so everyone was able to see them and take amazing pictures. We were too late to see icebergs but the whales stole the show! Awesome way to spend a couple of hours and enjoy the views of this beautiful island.

No whales
No icebergs
Wasn’t told they haven’t been seeing whales in previous days until 10 mins into the voyage. If I had known beforehand I wouldn’t have booked.

Thank you for sharing your feedback.
Whales and icebergs are incredible highlights of the Newfoundland experience, but they are also wild, seasonal, and constantly moving elements of nature. While peak whale season is generally from mid-June through mid-August and iceberg season typically peaks from mid-May through early July, sightings can vary from day to day and cannot be guaranteed on any individual departure.
Our tours are designed to showcase the full beauty and character of Twillingate’s coastline, including its dramatic cliffs, sea caves, coves, historic Long Point Lighthouse, and the rich culture and history of this iconic Newfoundland outport community. Guests also enjoy onboard narration, traditional Newfoundland entertainment, and the unique perspective of experiencing this coastline from the water.
Our captain and crew take great pride in delivering an engaging, safe, and memorable experience for every guest on every voyage. Nature determines what wildlife may be present, but our commitment to hospitality and sharing the beauty of Twillingate remains consistent every day.
We appreciate everyone who chooses to explore this special part of Newfoundland with us and hope future visitors come prepared to experience the many natural and cultural highlights our tours offer.

Expected icebergs when I booked. Only learned after leaving no bergs. Should have been told when I booked
Response from Host, Jul 2026
Thank you for sharing your feedback. We understand that many guests visit Twillingate hoping to experience the incredible icebergs that make this area so special.
As noted during the booking process, iceberg sightings are dependent on natural conditions and cannot be guaranteed. We don’t sell guaranteed sightings. We share an authentic experience in one of the world’s most beautiful places, guided by people who care deeply about it.
Our crew works hard every day to showcase the beauty, history, and character of Twillingate. They are passionate about what they do and take great pride in providing a memorable experience for our guests, even when nature does not provide the sights we all hope for.
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback.

We were there at the wrong time for icebergs and whales, but it was a fun trip where we really gained our sea legs.
Response from Host, Jul 2026
Thank you for the fantastic review! We love that you embraced the adventure and enjoyed your time out on the water.
Twillingate is a place where every trip is a little different, and that’s part of what makes exploring this coastline so special. Very expensive for very little! Once we
were on the boat a crew member told us there was 0 chance of seeing an iceberg! We only went out about 2 miles, then turned around to come back. We were very disappointed. Also, costly in comparison to other tours we have been on.
Response from Host, Jul 2026
Thank you for sharing your feedback. We’re sorry to hear that your experience did not meet your expectations.
Twillingate is a place where the ocean and weather conditions change every day, and while icebergs are one of the incredible highlights of this area, their presence and location are determined entirely by nature. Our crew always hopes to share these sights with our guests, but we cannot control when they appear.
What we can provide is an authentic experience on the water, showcasing the beauty, history, and character of Twillingate with a crew that is passionate about sharing this special place. We appreciate you joining us and taking the time to provide your feedback.

The captain and crew went out of their way to ensure that we saw an iceberg. The boat tour was advertised as two hours and we were out on the water for four hours.

We went out on a foggy morning with fairly high seas in some areas. Several customers got sick but your crew was very caring and considerate of them and the safety and comfort of everyone. Then in the iceberg bay it was calmer and we spent lots of time exploring the iceberg from every angle. I also enjoyed chatting with the skipper and crew.
Response from Host, Jul 2026
Thank you so much for the wonderful review! We truly appreciate you sharing your experience with us.
The ocean is always changing, and every tour brings its own unique conditions and surprises. We’re especially grateful that you recognized the care and attention our crew provided to ensure everyone’s safety and comfort during the more challenging conditions.

Really good cruise but wish they had told us there would be no whales. They told us after that it’s too early to see the whales. I was hoping to see whales and icebergs for the price
Response from Host, Jul 2026
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re glad to hear you enjoyed your cruise and had a good experience exploring the waters of Twillingate.
Whales and icebergs are two of the incredible highlights that make this area so special, and we always hope to share those experiences with our guests. However, nature operates on its own schedule, and the timing and location of marine life and icebergs can vary from day to day and throughout the season.
Our crew loves sharing the beauty, history, and character of Twillingate while helping guests experience everything this remarkable coastline has to offer.
Thank you for joining us on the water and for sharing your perspective.

If the icebergs are too far and bad weather, the captain has to hurry back home and some people experience sea sickness.
Cathy_B, Jun 2026
Dress warm.
My husband and I went went out water was rough coming back in windy and started raining but for us it was so total worth it!!! Amazing
Murray_M, Jun 2026
The water was a bit choppy but the captain did a great job of getting us straight to the iceberg. We were able to pull up right next to this 12,000 year old iceberg. Everybody was able to get lots of great pictures. Another tick on the bucket list. Highly recommend.
Sandy_D, Jun 2026
99 people aboard. A bit too crowed and not enough seating for all.
The cabin is certainly not what l would consider "heated". One door was completely open and there was one seat where the heat flowed into the cabin.
The captain and crew were excellent and fun. A bit expensive and then expected to pay $ for a golf cart ride.
Many folks didn't realise that a park pass was required for the boat trip although that it is mentioned when purchasing tickets.
We saw one large iceberg and the captain did a great job to provide photo shots from all angles.
Donna_A, Jun 2026
It was awesome. Saw a giant iceberg . I have mobility issues and the crew were very helpful. I would recommend this tour
Peter_T, Jun 2026
It was an excellent experience.
The entire crew and skipper were so inviting and very knowledgable.
What a great bunch of people.
Sophie_R, Jun 2026
Brought us where we were hoping for to make sure our bucket list was checked. Very nice staff and clean vessel
leilah_H, Jun 2026
Really incredible experience. We had so much fun! We got right up close to a pretty epic iceberg and got great pictures!
Kelly_M, Jun 2026
Dress for the weather. Capt. Barry was very knowledgeable and entertaining. We saw 2 icebergs and Capt. Barry made sure you had a perfect view no matter where you were on the boat.
987qqs6prh, Jun 2026
Despite the choppy seas this experience was very cool! The staff were courteous and friendly and professional! Highly recommend!
Helene_M, Jun 2026
Nice spacious boat for viewing from the upper and lower decks. We were blessed with the rarity of iceberg climbers and a female diver from Redbull that were sponsoring and filming this awesome event. So lucky to witness this. Captain and crew had never seen anything like it. They harvested some of the iceberg ice for us to taste and take back with us . The iceberg itself was breathtaking!
Gave us the opportunity to go a day early as the weather was not great for our scheduled day.
Robert_D, Jun 2026
Two deck boat (bottom deck enclosed) was good which allowed you to come inside to get out of the rain and cold. Saw folks going out on a large Zodiac all bundled up in jackets they provided. Talked to one of them and he said it was terribly cold and they got spray from the waves so our choice was definitely better in this very cold, windy and rainy weather.
Micheline_F, Jun 2026
Well worth it. Loved the extra attention, when one of your workers came over and had a good chat. Explaining things and just all around fun
auBrey_F, Jun 2026
I went on the June 10th 9:30 AM ride. Dressed warmly so I was well-prepared for the chilling morning air. With physical comfort taken care of, I was able to focus on the fantastic 2 icebergs we ventured to and circled a few times. Loved the excursion!
Lin_L, Jun 2026
This was an excellent outing, despite the cold, wet weather. We were able to get very close to the icebergs, and the skipper was very informative.
Michel_B, Jun 2026
It was on my bucket list and it’s Even more impressive when you are up close. The staffs are very friendly!!!
Francis_B, Jun 2026
More people on board than expected. Was a bit crowded in the cabin as it was cold and raining. Other than this, experience was very good.
Dayna_G, Jun 2026
Great icebergs but unfortunately no whale this day. If that's your goal then Twillingate is great. I think we could have done this in Bay Bulls as icebergs were spotted there and not made the long drive to Twillingate. I had my elderly parents start by sitting inside as it was cold but the rough waters were so bad, many people got motion sickness. I'd advise a gravol before heading out.
David_J, Jun 2026
Fun and professional crew. An abundance of icebergs and interesting facts. Warm, wind and waterproof clothing recommended.
Paul_W, Jun 2026
Excellent experience and a great friendly crew. Seeing icebergs up close is amazing and a sight everyone should see.
