Its a little walk from the ship port if you don't get a shuttle ride . Workers are very friendly and give you ideas of what you should see

I wouldn't recommend viator at all. I tried my best to let viator and cc scooters know I have limited mobility and was concerned about getting to our buggy. We walked and walked and were given terrible directions by taxi driver and local constables/police in the area. I finally emailed someone and said I need help but this was after walking over an hour... when we finally got to cc scooters, I was told I had to have insurance and it was an additional $70. At that point we were both exhausted and I was NOT going to pay $269 plus another $70. I need a refund!!!

Thank you for your review. We are sorry that your experience turned out the way it did however it is important that we respond to the misinformation contained in your review. Firstly, what is included and what’s not included with your Buggy Rental is located in black and white on our Viator/TripAdvisor listing for all travelers to make an informed decision prior to booking. Our listing clearly states that liability insurance is “NOT” included with ticket purchase. It states that purchasing local Liability insurance is mandatory, it states the price of liability insurance per vehicle and that it is paid in person during registration. The importance of liability insurance protection coverage for all parties involved (the traveler, the rental company and the general public) is self explanatory and should not be taken lightly as unfortunately accidents do happen and it limits liability and exposure for both renter and rental company when they do happen. All experience well traveled persons knows this and expect this from any and all reputable & established rental companies across the world (Hertz, Avis, Thrifty etc) for example.
Secondly, you were offered round trip transportation (Pickup & Drop Off) from your hotel at a nominal fee however you declined and insisted that you will to walk to our location to pickup up your rental vehicle. We have clear and simple directions to our compound on our listings on Viator/TripAdvisor that our travelers follow with no issues. When you arrived to pickup your rental vehicle, you decided that you didn’t want to pay the mandatory liability insurance protection fee and then wanted to cancel your booking. We informed you that the booking is governed by Viators / TripAdvisors cancellation policy and it is strictly enforced.

Do not book this company. They will rip you off! The reservation states an insurance fee is included but when you show up they charge an additional insurance fee! At least at 75.00 fee. Also the company provides transportation for 22.00 per person get a taxi instead for 7.00 per person. Overall I would not go back and the company and viatar refused to refund the extra insurance fee.

Thank you also for taking the time to write a review even though we don’t agree with your account / narrative and find it outright false, purposefully malicious and misleading. Firstly, All travelers are responsible for reading all information on Viator/TripAdvisor listings carefully before booking any activity with any company. Everything that is included and not included with ticket prices is there on our Viator /TripAdvisor listing in “Black & White” for travelers to make an informed decision. Our listings clearly states that Mandatory liability insurance is not included with ticket purchase, its states the cost of purchasing liability insurance and that it is due and collected in person during registration. Additionally, our listing clearly states that round trip transportation to our compound to pickup your rental vehicle is not included with ticket purchase however we do offer it at a nominal fee for convenience to our travelers. We pride ourselves on being fully transparent regarding all that’s included and not included with ticket purchases and any fees that are to be paid by travelers. You booked a buggy rental and received a brand new cleaned Can Am Defender vehicle. The importance of liability insurance protection coverage for all parties involved (the traveler, the rental company and the general public) is self explanatory and should not be taken lightly as unfortunately accidents do happen and it limits liability and exposure for both renter and rental company when they do happen. It is unfortunate that you obviously didn’t review our listing carefully prior to booking. I don’t know anywhere in the world where you can rent vehicles and not expect to have liability insurance. What happens if there is a terrible accident that you are responsible for? Who pays for the damage to the third party property? Who pays to replace the vehicle/ vehicles you wrote off? Who pays the medical bills for the person/persons you accidentally hit who now are disabled or worse? These are all possible scenarios that can take place and the reason why all rental companies across the world (Reputable ones at least) require travelers to purchase liability insurance protection. It is law in The Bahamas as we clearly state this requirement on our listings.

The people I rented from were super cool. It felt more like a family/friends-run establishment than a big corporate place, which I really liked. They weren’t pushy and didn’t try to shove extra services down my throat. The pickup wording was a little misleading, but honestly most of them are like that. Overall, a good experience and I’d rent from them again.

we got bugged the whole time from locals and didn't feel safe! when we got there we got charged an additional 200 dollars from the side by side service which was c and c! no one told us about the 88 dollars to be taxed from the port to the side by side until after we were there and then after adding insurance and extra fees. when were driving around the island there's no where to go or do Nassau is nasty and you get bombarded by locals to buy stuff and eat places which my kids didn't feel safe the whole time. there was glass on the beaches. and when we got back to c and c the lady said we didn't pay for the taxi service and was gonna make us pay again or make us walk back to port. the address for c and c isn't right and we couldn't find it! we had to put gas back in it but was never told by Victor about all these fees. this was a horrible experience and will never book again Nassau Bahamas was the worst place ever not tropical at all and c and c was by far the worst company all and all we spent 600 dollars for 4 hrs of no fun!!!!

There was some charges unclear that would be good to know upfront like insurance and transfers to and from the port. To just say additional fees does not give the person a good idea on if they need to find another way to the rental office. They charged $22pp for transfers and it was 5 of us and then an additional $66 for insurance. There were also no maps they provided to get around the island which I thought was kind of odd. Otherwise, we had a good time and good experience.

Unsafe and Hidden fees!! Upon arrival, were were charged an additional fee for each vehicle for insurance that was not disclosed to us prior to arrival ($60 per vehicle), we were charged $20 per person for less than a 2 mile roundtrip transportation fee...in which they shoved 8 of us into one small van ($160), then we were charged $22 for my husband to drive because I was the person who made the reservation and not my husband. So, we had to pay $302 in extra hidden fees!! That wasn't the worst of it all...we were given no maps or directions, no information on places to see and places to avoid! We ended up on a part of the island that a local flagged us down to tell us we needed to get out because we were in danger being on that part of the island! This company should have taken more care into the safety of the people renting from them. The employees were very rude.....Awful experience!

It was a nice experience, we had 4 hours to explore and this buggy helped us all the points on Bahamas Nassau island which we wanted to.
I gave 4 starts because
1. Buggy didn’t had front glasses and we had a windy day which was bothering us.
2. They changed 15$ per person for pick up and drop to rent you the buggy

BC we did not know seatbelts made a diff. It ruined our experiences, we drove around struggling under 25 miles an hour. Nettie was kind enough to take us to the attraction we wanted to see. We wasted 400 dollars

I typically have no issues with anything we book with Viator. However, due to a cancellation by our cruise line on our excursion we tried to find an alternate. We book this it did not go as planned. We were give instructions to meet at the cruise pier which is 1000 feet long with zones for meeting. Nobody showed up. I tried calling the contact number 8 times in 30 minutes and it always went straight to an answering machine. Come to found our there is a hut on the street once you leave the pier where C&C Rentals is located. So once this was located I found out that the $450 rental was the initial price. I did see on the listing that there was a $40 insurance and $20 fee for something else. What wasn’t on the listing was that this is for each person!!!! I had a party of 4 and was out another $240.00 The listing also stated that the utv would be supplied with a full tank of gas and we would get a map of Nassau. Neither was truthful. The utv are pretty dated and not new units but that can be expected in Nassau. However, we got a little over a half tank of gas and the fact that I didn’t realize till after we left is on me but I was irritated at that point. BE WARNED, we DID NOT get a map and there is NO WI-FI or Internet. Yes I have an international plan so I could make calls but my IPhone could not use maps and I could access the internet to use google maps. We were stuck with driving around the city close to cruise pier where we knew we couldn’t get lost. We ended up just taking the utv back early and walked around downtown. I will say that the drivers were extremely nice that took us from the hut on the road to the location where we picked up the utv. However I am extremely dissatisfied with the unknown cost and incorrect inclusions on the listing. I would NOT RECCOMEND this viator listing to anyone. Find another.

Nassau is a great place to visit, bit do your homework before renting. The rental staff is great, very engaging and polite, but the buggies have seen better days!

The buggy rental was fun, but the actual cart we got was very old and had issues. It stated stereo and speakers but none. Thought it would have a roof but it didn’t. So? It was very hot and uncomfortable because seats are black. Would have been more enjoyable with a better cart.

We misunderstood the meeting place and the pick up driver was very accommodating. We called him he told us to stay put found us and took us to the rental center. Very friendly and helpful staff was a fun time all around.

This was a fun way to see the island on our own. The staff was extremely courteous and friendly! The only stress was finding out how to get the vehicle, as we did not have email access on the cruise ship and/or the island. The instructions sent by email were different than the instructions on our tickets issued at the time of booking. Thankfully some locals helped us find the right people. Also, maps are not provided so it would be helpful to get one in advance to maximize your time and know where you are going. Overall a great, memorable experience!

We rented the buggy with the expectation of being able to explore the island on our own after another shore excursion was cancelled. To begin, the operator was late picking us up and did not answer the phone when we called to make sure we were in the right place and hadn’t missed them. Once we arrived at their office, which was an empty room with a little desk, our check in was quick and had no issues. They did extend our time a little to compensate for being late, but that was the end of their service. We asked for a map and they looked at us like we were crazy. Nobody had a map. There was no “tour guide” suggesting points of interest. They suggested we use the GPS on our phones. shortly after we pulled away, we quickly realized the cellular on our phones would not work. Midway through our “adventure“ blindly traveling around the island, a “maintenance required” light came on. At an information booth at the port market, the woman tried to help us contact the office, but she too was unable to reach them or even find an address to guide us back to the a lot to drop it when we were done. I spent most of my $400 “adventure” trying to hold back tears.

The freedom is great. The tour guide was late to pick us up, miscommunication and all good. However, they offered to let us keep the buggy all day. Totally unnecessary as life happens, but just shows the extra mile they’re willing to go

Thank you for choosing us as your rental service provider while visiting Nassau and taking the time to write a review of your experience. We are sincerely sorry that you feel there was poor communication from us, however our standard procedure is that we send out (2) communications to our travelers by 5pm the day prior to their travel date (via email & text message to the cell number provided on the booking). This communication is to confirm and provide pickup details. Records show that you were emailed and texted your pickup details with instructions for your free courtesy pickup from the cruise port 5pm the day prior to your travel date however you did not respond to any of them. I understand that many of our travelers coming via cruise ship may not have access to email or cell phone service while at sea, so we understand this can be why you did not reply. We however do this routinely every day so that is why your courtesy driver was waiting at the cruise port exit for you nonetheless and was able to pick you’ll up and transfer your party to the holding site to pickup your rental vehicle. You received your vehicle, your $500 security deposit was waived, you’ll received complimentary water bottles & you received courtesy return transportation back to the cruise port. You didn’t receive a map because the publication company that produces them for the Island is still closed as a casualty of the pandemic.
You are entitled to your views and your review, however we needed to shed light on the facts of this case matter so that the traveling public can decide for themselves the fairness of such a low score Ian your review. We know however, that your group had an awesome time exploring the Island of Nassau and that you’ll made it back safely to the return center and your ship.
Hopefully you’ll give us another opportunity to serve you even better the next time you travel to The Bahamas.

This was one of the highlights of our trip! It was so much fun and Netty and Samuel were great- so friendly, fun,, and helpful. It was a great way to see Nassau and be directing our own experience. I recommend visiting the Queen's Staircase, the beach and the Fish Fry. We were 6 happy customers!

We rented a 6 seater side by side for 4 hours. Returned it after 1.5 hrs. The side by side was missing seat cushions, seat belts were non-functional, safety net broken, over all unreliable. Map of town not provided so we drove around for 1.5 hrs not finding anything. Not worth $450. Complete waste of money.

No information on where to go, what to see. Vehicle was a POS, missing seat cushions, had to use towels. Jerk people running the place. I'm an experienced 4 wheeler and not a snob BTW. Viator should drop this place asap. Find another tour. -Paul

Toll um die Insel selber zu erkunden. Der Buggy war aber in einem schlechten Zustand und deshalb 4 von 5 Sternen. Und zu sechst hätte ich diesen Buggy nicht nutzen wollen, da es definitiv zu wenig Platz gewesen wäre. Zu viert war es jedoch super.
