Watch for our distinctive company van, clearly marked with our logo, when waiting for your ride. If you’re staying at a hotel, head to the main lobby entrance—our driver will meet you right outside. For those guests arriving from the cruise ship port, your pickup spot is conveniently located just across from the cruise ship terminal exit, outside the Blanco by Nature Store, in The Prince George Plaza, under the Fat Tuesday sign. Please arrive at least 15 minutes early so we can get you on your way quickly and comfortably! Please note, guests are required to present a government issued identification.

Cabbage Beach, The Bahamas
Cabbage Beach, Paradise Island: check in at the My Own Water Sports tent or umbrella located near the entrance next to the Riu Hotel. Some activities may also take place at Montague Beach. If you’re arranging your own transportation, please contact us to confirm the location.

What To Expect

Choose your activity time slot at checkout; parasailing departures are available on the half hour. Be ready for pickup at your hotel or the cruise port between 15 and 30 minutes prior to your scheduled parasailing time.

When you reach Cabbage Beach, meet the water sports team for a safety briefing and orientation. Hop on board the parasail boat and strap in to your harness, then soar over the turquoise waters and white sand of the Bahamian coast.

Return to your hotel or cruise port for drop-off after your adventure.

We were picked up right outside the cruise port gates and driven to the location. There were 4 of us on the parasailing boat which worked out great. Huge shoutout to Tamico (our driver) for getting us where we needed to be; RJ on the boat and Ricardo on the dock who kept us fully engaged and entertained while we waited for our boat. Heads up that the other couple we were with had jetskis included so you can do it all! I would definatly do it again!

Fun but feel hustled

Parasailing was fun, enjoyed the experience. Didn't like having to pay an extra $50 because I wanted to push the time back a half hour just for the driver to be a half hour late. Almost missed my cruise ship.

Parasailing, awesome, but watch out for jet ski scam

So this is a review of the parasailing only. The men running the parasailing were very cool and skilled and took care of us and really were helpful. They were trustworthy. We had a great parasailing experience. However, there was one man working for the company, my own water sports, who was the coordinator on the beach and initial contact person. This was a very shady person who while we were waiting for our parasailing boat to arrive, he was trying to get us to sign up immediately for jet skis also. We did not have enough time to jet ski because of our need to be back on the cruise ship, but that was a very good thing. Before we got on the boat for parasailing, we witnessed one young man returning the jet ski almost immediately after taking it out into the water and reporting a hole on the back end of the jet ski. The shady company representative on the beach immediately started yelling accusations that he knew the young man damaged the jet ski while taking it out on the ocean. He was initially and immediately threatening to call the police and was yelling for one of his other people to come over. The hole in the jet ski was on the top of the back end of the jet ski and was shaped in a way that this was highly suspicious and did not just happen while taking a jet ski out on the ocean. There was a yelling confrontation between the company representative and the young man and his father. They were yelling that it was a scam. The man with the company even called over the police and made allegations that they damaged his property and were unwilling to pay for it. The father of the young man went ahead and paid for $1700 out of the $2700. The shady man on the beach was demanding. After this exchange was done the company representative said to the people around him that he was about to stab the father. Be aware that this company has people like that working for them. Forewarned is forearmed.

After a pretty heavy 2025, my cousin and I decided to take a cruise to the Bahamas. Our only excursion was parasailing with My Own Water Sports. Everyone was super nice, funny and accommodating. Ricardo (AKA Spaghetti lol) was our point person once we arrived. He kept us laughing and entertained while we waited our turn. Overall great experience. The initial communication was difficult, missed each other calls. App did not give exact meeting location (in front of Fat Tuesdays) and the van was white with blue signage on the window. Not blue and white. Once we found our pick up location and van it was smooth sailing. Well parasailing. The duration was confusing since it was listed as 7 mins but they take you to the beach at Atlantis on Paradise Island. After parasailing you can rent lounge chairs, umbrellas, jet ski do other water sports and enjoy the beach. They will return you to the port. Overall a wonderful experience.

The staff are friendly, but I feel a little unsafe about the plastic clips used to hook the parasailing harness.

They picked up my husband and me at Senor Frog’s, next to the British Colonial Hotel Resort, and drove us to Cabbage Beach on Paradise Island for both parasailing and jet skiing. Even though the activities were listed under different company names when we booked, they were actually all operated by one company called “On My Own Water Sport.” They appear under different agent names on Viator, but in reality, it’s the same company running everything. We were given about 10–12 minutes of parasailing. The staff were friendly, helped us take pictures, and even recorded videos for us. I do wish we could have gone higher, but the clips that connect the parasailing harness looked like they were attached with only a small rope. My husband and I felt a little unsafe going up in the air. Other than that, the views were very beautiful. The staff did not ask for tips at the end, but we decided to tip them anyway. My advice is to always confirm the actual duration of the activity before going, because what they advertise as 15 minutes may end up being closer to 10 minutes in reality when you book through Viator. Also, always confirm the pickup time and location, and whether you are a cruise passenger or a non-cruise passenger, since the pickup locations are different. I hope this helps. I just wish the parasailing ride had lasted longer and taken us higher so we could see more of Paradise Island.

Oh, where do I start? We were picked up at our meetup location 50 min after we were supposed to be picked up. We paid $100 per SINGLE parasail. Everyone was doubled up. The first couple that went was DROPPED from the air into the ocean. And then our boat captain drove the boat over their heads. The amount of screaming I heard that day was unreal! You could stay on the beach if you wanted to, which we did. This same company offered jetski too, and beach chair rental. $40 to rent 2 chairs and umbrella! And if you encounter jetski issues, they blame you and try to get a ton of money out of you! And if you don't have enough cash and offer to pay via Venmo, they charge you an extra $5!!!!

The excitement and cheering you heard is very common during parasailing experiences. Our pricing for beach chairs, umbrellas, and jet skis is clearly communicated, and any damage or issues with equipment are reviewed carefully on a case-by-case basis. If you’re planning a trip to the Bahamas, I highly recommend this experience! From pick-up to drop-off, the team was professional and great. RJ and Duane were punctual and skilled drivers, ensuring a smooth ride. They also provided transportation from the hotel to the beach and back, which was a huge help. Overall, it was a very helpful and professional experience.

The parasailing/instructors were great but the whole thing was very poorly organized. They told us it would be 5 mins until the driver came to get us after the parasailing to take us back to the hotel and then they forgot about us and it ended up being 40. The beach they take you to is also very dirty and rocky and people come up to you incessantly trying to get you to buy things. For a $100/person excursion I was expecting more

Everyone working was so friendly and helpful! The only reason this gets 4 stars is because of the pickup. We are a pretty easy going couple, but it was a bit frustrating to have to wait over half an hour for our pickup (especially when it is super hot). Their vans only fit 5 or 6 people so even though one came on time, we couldn't fit with the other group and had to wait for a new one. This took some extra time due to an accident according to our driver. Other than that, the excursion was perfect - exactly what we were hoping for. We went parasailing, and the groups are small. We had some extra time to swim on the beach, and ended up renting a jetski after too (very easy to add things on if you aren't sure). The van was ready as soon as we were, and just like that, we were back to the port! The people working made it worth the wait.

Good communication on pick up location. No problems with pick up and drop off. Tour started a little late but the operator was very accomodating and helpful. Our whole family enjoyed the parasailing. We felt safe the whole time. Bring your camera for photos! We even stayed on the beach and swam for awhile. There’s jet skis for rent on the beach. Bring your own food and water.

You need to get to Montangue Beach to depart if you are NOT from a cruise ship. So get a cab. The guys on the boat were amazing at getting everything safely in and out. Parasailing was a cool one time thing to do.
