Laid back and beautiful. Drivers are knowledgeable and professional. We were able to enjoy multiple stops in downtown Nassau and drank the best virgin pina coloda on the planet.

My wife and I walked around in the heat for over 10 minutes and several blocks looking for the meeting place which was not described in my email instructions. I was only given the name of a shop "Blanco by Nature store across from the cruise port" but no street address or landmarks.
After asking 5 people and almost giving up, we finally met our driver "Mad Mary". Mary single handedly turned the entire experience around with her friendly demeanor and smile 😊. Mary was professional and extremely knowledgeable about the rich history of the Bahamas and its roots. She was patient and accommodating to our requests.
Some things I would strongly recommend would be to first and foremost place an actual address for the meeting point. The phone number provided also needs an 800 number as I tried calling the number and the call would not connect. Mary advised that a prefix number has to be dialed in order for calls to connect in the Bahamas.
Also the tour destinations were interesting and fun, but the stop at the cave I think can be eliminated as the cave is littered with trash and not really a desirable location. Overall, I would have given this experience a 5 star rating mainly because of Mad Mary! She is a great asset for the Pirate Jeep Tour company.

Excellent experience touring Nassau and New Providence. Captain Canon was so nice (and humorous) and catered our tour to fit our likes. He even pulled over for a photo opportunity at a beach we had visited over 15 years ago. We saw so many legendary sights and visited some wonderful local businesses. Such a great family outing that everyone enjoyed and would do again.

We had an amazing time! Captain Mad Mary was absolutely the best—she took us to all the top spots around town while effortlessly sharing fascinating Bahamian history and fun facts along the way. Her co-captain, Buff Buccaneer, was fantastic as well and added to the whole experience. Highly recommend!

My wife and I enjoyed this trip, but it was different than our expectations. Based on the 'Pirate' nomenclature and the pictures of jeeps on the beach, we anticipated there would be elements of driving on beaches, visits to shipwrecks, and in-depth education of the history of pirates in the Caribbean. However, the trip is structured more as a pavement exploration of the island with stops at some natural rock formations, retail shops with unique island flair, and a nice rum distillery, interspersed with commentary from the guide on the history of the island and current issues the island is facing. It was a great trip for learning about New Providence Island and experiencing some of the island's local flair from a resident expert.

Our Pirate Jeep Tour in Nassau was one of the highlights of our trip. Pickup was right on time, and the adventure started immediately. Our pirate tour guide was fantastic, very knowledgeable, full of energy, and had us laughing the entire time. Between each stop he shared great pirate lore and stories about Bahamian history that really brought the island to life.
The tour took us to several places we never would have found on our own. We visited little known bat caves right along the coast and stopped at a shoreline during low tide where we walked out onto exposed rocks to look for shells and sea life. We also visited the Queen’s Staircase and stopped at Graycliff Estates and Bougainvillea Estates where we sampled rum cocktails, chocolate, organic teas, and ice cream while learning more about the island.
One of the funniest and most unexpected moments was running into the Chief of Police, who even let my husband take a photo on his Segway.
This tour was a perfect mix of history, hidden gems, local culture, and fun. Highly recommend if you want a unique and entertaining way to see Nassau.

Captain “Cannon” was our tour guide and he did an amazing job! He felt our vibe and knew exactly what to feed off of! He was helpful and explained everything well. He asked us what was important to us made sure we went to all the spots we wanted to see. He was friendly and made the tour fun! The whole company was amazing that even when we contacted them in the morning they were able to get us in for the earlier tour.

Captain Slim Jim was wonderful. He is very enthusiastic and knowledgeable. While he has been giving tours for a short amount of time, you would never know it. I would highly recommend this tour

Our Captain, "Chocolate" was EXTREMELY HELPFUL, INFORMATIVE, GRACIOUS!!!!

Jason and the Pirate Jeep Tour made our Nassau day unforgettable.
From start to finish, this tour was perfectly organized. The team reached out ahead of time to ask whether we preferred doors off or doors on with AC. We chose “doors off” because the weather was perfect.
Our guide Jason was the highlight of the day. The Jeep has a great audio setup, so even over the music we could hear every word of his storytelling. He shared the history and everyday life of the Bahamas in a way that felt genuine and personal, not scripted. We peppered him with questions the entire time.
The itinerary was fantastic: the caves were stunning, and we made several interesting stops before arriving at the Queen’s Staircase and Graycliff Manor. At Graycliff, Jason stayed with us the entire time and walked us through the whole estate. The cigar rolling factory was our absolute favorite. It was something we never would have found or appreciated on our own. My partner speaks Spanish and talked with the Cubans about how thy got here and the school in Cuba where they learned how to roll cigars.
Jason dropped us back at our hotel right on schedule, and by the end of the day it genuinely felt like we’d made a friend. If you’re in Nassau and only have time for one excursion, make it this one. Ask for Jason.

Book this tour! You won’t be disappointed!!
We have been to Nassau multiple times but have not gotten off the cruise ship. This time is was just my husband and I so booked this tour to explore Nassau. Our cruise ship changed the itinerary of our trip and did not notify us until we were on board. Luckily I realized it the morning before our scheduled tour. I was able to message through the Viator app and got a quick response back from the tour. They were able to change the day no problem, Phew!!
We arrived at the pick up point, which was easy to find and Captain Slick Rick greeted us with a smile and we were on our way. It was so nice to be just us and the guide. No one else to follow or be slowed down by. Captain Slick Rick has so much knowledge of the history, landmarks and places of interest in Nassau as he is a local. His fun and positive attitude was so contagious you couldn’t help but smile and laugh with him. He answered every question I had with extensive answers.
During the tour he knew that one of the possible stops might be very busy so he asked if we would like to go to a different location and I am so glad we did. He took us to a local shop that was so lovely.
The conversation never stopped and it was easy. He seemed just as interested in hearing about the stories we wanted to share with him.
We met up with a couple of the other Jeeps and captains at a small cave. The other captains seemed just nice and fun as Captain Slick Rick.

Our tour guide was amazing extremely friendly and we did not feel pressured to purchase any specific item on the tour. Captain bling was also very knowledgeable about the island and very welcoming. Highly recommend this tour!!!!

We had an amazing time with Captain Slim Jim. We had a family of ten and they were able to accommodate us in the private van. We learned so much history about the Bahamas and had a few wonderful stops. The kids really loved the cave and the adults enjoyed the tea and moonshine stops. Highly recommend this tour for anyone traveling to Nassau.

This was a great tour with the guide Captain Yellowtail. He tailored the tour to meet my interests. He was knowledgeable and never got tired of my endless questions. I appreciated that he was flexible with the tour start time, as I was coming straight from the airport and there were long lines at customs. I think this is a kind of tour that people of any age can enjoy, and it works for people with different mobility levels. I highly recommend it, especially if you have an opportunity to hang out with Captain Yellowtail (I will not disclose his government name :-).

Captain Tony was an amazing guide. Knowledgeable about the history and current culture. Happy to share his passion about his home with strangers. We saw many of the common sites and some things I feel like we may not have seen on a bigger tour. Having a private tour made it easy to ask questions and have discussions about things, rather than just the tour speech.

We had the best time on our Pirate Jeep Tour. Captain Yellowtail was so much fun! He was very knowledgeable about the area and by the end of the trip we felt like old friends. He even made a special stop at the sports complex so our son could see the baseball field!
