Make sure driver takes you to correct meeting point Booked the 10.30 but couldn't get across town in time so booked 1.30 and driver dropped me off at wrong address, requested refund for at least one tour but provider rejected refund. So got 2 lots of money for nothing.

Fascinating way to spend a half day in New Delhi

Our guide Sunny saved the day after some administrative confusion, by showing up at short notice and taking us on an interesting and insightful tour of the slum area where he lives. We felt safe and welcome at all times, with residents smiling and returning our greetings. We bought a jar of candy to share among the children, who were polite, friendly and respectful. Sunny answered all our questions and gave us a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Highly recommend.

Sunny, my guide, was the perfect ambassador for this very unique experience! Not only did I get to see and learn about this Delhi community first-hand, but I also got to meet its children, residents, pets, and more. While safety was a top concern for visiting solo, there was never a point on this tour where I felt unsafe. Sunny shared the history of our destination, its successes, and challenges. He had a positive attitude, and you could tell he cared greatly for everyone who lived there. I was able to engage with children of the community, ask questions, and never felt voyeuristic. I HIGHLY recommend Sunny -- he made this trip 1000% worthwhile!

A brilliant tour with an amazing guide

We traveled across 6 regions of India, and spent 3 days in Delhi. The tour of the slums was something we wanted to do, not to be fashionable, but more to see how the whole socio/economic environment works. Abhishek was our guide and made us feel safe and was incredibly knowledgeable. We were made to feel welcome by the residents of the slums and went for tea in Abhishek’s home where we met his Mother and adorable dogs. A very humbling and educational experience which stood out as the best of our India 2024 tour. Pete the co-host was great too and helped greatly with finding the pick up point. 10/10

Our guide was 15 minutes late. When we were walking with him we found out that he wasn't our guide. He came later. A bad start of an okay walking tour where we got to talk to women and children in a kind of office. The price for this trip was really high. We would not recommend the trip. Maybe better find somebody who wants to take you there. 14 Euro per person is just not worth it for 2 hours walking and a cup of tea and cola....

A very uplifting and humbling experience

We were concerned that was just morbid fascination on our part, but this was definitely not the case. It was a very uplifting and humbling experience. It is well organised and completely safe. Sunny, our tour guide, was a perfect host and explained the temples and the background to the colony very well, in perfect English. For such a young man, he has our complete admiration for the work he does to support the community. Anyone who gets the opportunity should do this tour, particularly if you are fortunate enough to have Sunny as your guide. Thankyou for one of the best tours we have ever made!
