No guide but flexible for your planning

The tour has no guide, however the driver took me to the place and along with me anytime. I joined the tour alone privately but no worries.First, we went to Haridwar from New Dehli. Driver picked me up at a hotel entrance at appointed time precisely. In the early morning there was no traffic jam so we arrived earlier than expected to Haridwar. Thank the driver for the the safe drive. We parked the car and went by Tuktuk to Ganges river and walked along with the river.Could soak into the river just like local people do but I just soaked my foot to the river in stead. It is not so dirty as in Varanasi, my impression. We went to the big Shiva statue.After visiting Haridwar, we went to Rishkesh to visit some Ashrams and walked with the driver.Acrossed Ganga by walking on the bridge. We could take lunch near Rishkesh but I skipped it because I wanted to go back to New Dehli earlier. I didn't do Yoga, but if you wish there were some Yoga school there which was excluded from the tour plan I also had an option to see Arati in the evening in Haridwar taking place after 6.p.m. but if you see it and go back to New Dehli, it would be late night when arriving there. Over all, the driver is not professional guide but he took me to the placesI wanted to go and made an effort to communicate in English, sometimes consulting with his boss by cell phone. I really like the time schedule was flexible to meet my demand, I could arrive New Dehli earlier than expected and enjoyed night in New Dehli as well.The car was not luxury but OK to sleep during driving. I brought neck pillow and etc.If you enjoy full tour I think the tour is pretty cost effective.If you wish to know the history of the places, better to join a tour with a guide.
