      When you have disembarked, go outside the port terminal and cross the street at the traffic light. Continue up the diagonal street. We´ll meet you at the black lamp post one block ahead, at the corner of Yacaré and Piedras, outside the Mercardo del Puerto.

    Excellent Walking Tour Of Old Town

    Excellent tour of the old town in Montevideo. Clear instructions received from Alberto on the meeting point and he proceeded to provide an informative and interesting 3 hour walking tour of the old town (where the cruise tour buses cannot reach!). English was very good and would highly recommend the tour.

    A wonderful introduction to the old town of Montevideo, filled with lots of local history. Alberto was very knowledgeable and answered all of our many questions and gave us many suggestions regarding how to spend our remaining time in the area. Would highly recommend!

    We did a walking tour of the old city in Montevideo with Alberto. He was an excellent guide: very knowledgeable, friendly, helpful, spoke excellent English, made many good recommendations for other things to do while in the city, etc. He knows the city and its history well and he brought it to life for us. He also did a great job of answering our many questions.

    Alberto was a charming tour guide. He kept in touch well before meeting up and was very reliable. His knowledge about all sorts of things was excellent and he knew the answers to all our questions. We felt we got a really good over view of the history of city.

    Our walking tour with Alberto was excellent. He lives in the area of the tour and it gives him extra knowledge and dedication to the history. We enjoyed not just the history but the architecture and the tiles made by a local, for the sidewalks where they break. Fun to see the sun tiles where famous people have their names, like Hollywood's star sidewalk. My son enjoyed the tour very much.

    My cruise ship only offered city tours on a bus, so I went looking for a walking tour of the historic district and found this tour. Alberto was awesome in communicating and working with me on when to meet up and what my interests were. I was not clear on the idea that this was a private tour so I was delighted to have Alberto as my private guide. Alberto speaks impeccable English which was a plus as an American. If you are looking for a walking tour I highly recommend this tour. He got me back to the ship right at all aboard, though my insistence to purchase a tee shirt after we parted had me running to the port!
