We will meet outside the entrance to the Old Fisherman's Wharf across from the Custom House (this is the wharf with all of the shops and restaurants, not the commercial wharf). Look for the pink building called Harbor House on the corner and your guide will be standing in front of that building.

Our guide, Jessica, was very knowledgeable about the history of the area, with fun and interesting side notes. It was a leisurely walk with the restaurants spaced well apart. It was fun hearing the history behind the local restaurants. Definitely a fun 3 hours!

Valerie was an excellent tour guide! Her knowledge of CA history was great and the food stops were so good. I really had no idea how good the food was in Monterey and the choice of foods was diverse and delicious!

Loved our tour today and our guide, Sonja. The food spots we visited were quaint and fun and full of their own history. Enjoyed all the Monterey history as well. The included beer and wine options were a nice touch. Of course, it was a beautiful day which made it all the more special.

Jessica was an amazing tour guide. We have found that these tours are often as good as the group you are with. We may have started as a group of just us, a last minute decision added the perfect 3 person group to ours. We laughed so much, took in the history that Jessica had to offer, answered pop quiz questions, and really enjoyed the food stops. This was a great choice to add to our trip.

Great tour! She was very well informed about the history of Monterey and had some amazing factoids that were shared during the tour. Food and drinks were excellent and we ended up being the only 2 people on the tour so I was thankful to have the tour not cancel but it also allowed us to ask more questions in things we were most interested in. I loved the tour and would do it again.

Sonya, our guide was great! Very knowledgable about Monterey history and we toured areas of the town we'd never been to before. We had a nice variety of great food and beverages. Met some nice people on the tour too.

Jessica led a great history and food tour in Old Monterey. My favorite bites were the fish tacos and lemon crepes! So much much great info on the history of Monterey. One other very nice couple with us.

We met our tour guide, Lance, at the appointed time. We visit the Monterey area often but have never seen or been to any of the places we went to. His knowledge of the history of the area and the places we visited to taste and sip were amazing. We had never been to any of these establishments and would look forward to visiting them again on our next visit. The restaurant, breweries and wineries staff were very welcoming and were prepared for our group. We were treated to the most delicious Bee's Knees ice cream sundae at Revival along with a tour of their kitchen. This was an amazing trip and we would highly recommend it.

My husband and I enjoyed trying something new during our recent trip to Monterey. The tour was an interesting mix of history and food. We enjoyed all of the food and drinks along the tour. The best part was being introduced to a whole different side of Monterey than we've experienced before.

What an excellent experience. The tour started with a light tasting at the Joseph Boston Store, including a tapenade that my wife ended up purchasing. Then a very informative and historic walk around the area. This was followed by three main and varied food stops--Indian, Greek, and a Gastropub. Delicious food and a generous amount (you won't need dinner after this tour). My favorite stop was Revival Ice Cream, not only because of the delicious Bees Knees sundae, but for their story of sustainability and community outreach. If you're in the area, I highly recommend this tour.

This was a great experience! We went to 6 different places to taste food and drinks, learn about the restaurants along the way as well as some local history. This is a fun few hours to learn something new and taste some great local fare. Great for friends or couples.

Overall a very good experience visiting six different tastings, including three sit-downs, while along the way to each location you learn a little about Monterey's history. The only drawback (& now we know) is that depending on how many people sign up for your particular tour time and what their tastes are (e.g. no seafood), you may not get to try something you may have been looking forward to eat being in Monterey. However, you do go to places you might not normally try and opens you up to something different. We enjoyed our time. Thank you!

We are so glad that you enjoyed the tour! I’m sorry that we didn’t have seafood on the day that you took the tour. We only have one tour partner that usually serves seafood on our Old Monterey Tour and they weren’t on the route that day. We are working on building a new tour that has a seafood focus so I hope you can join us for that one once we start! Stay tuned.
