We absolutely loved our tour of YS Falls and Appleton Estate Distillery. Das drove us from Montego Bay to both locations, and provided us with a lot of stories and information about Jamaican history and culture along the way. I would recommend this tour to anyone, you'll have an excellent day.

A Trip To Remember

This tour is well worth it. Our driver Des picked us up where we asked, no problem. It was just me and my girlfriend. Montego Bay to YS Falls was about a 2 hour ride including quick stops for some local eats. The brown stew and curry chicken was what we needed to start our day. YS Falls was amazing. A sight to see for sure. Hey, jump in while you’re there! We dried up and changed before heading to Appleton Estates for rum tasting about another 30 minutes from the falls. An awesome hour tour of the property with a complimentary drink to end it with samples of their different reserves. The ride home we stopped for some jerk chicken, red stripe, and rum punch to hold us off for the ride. Oh and I can’t forget the mangoes! We happen to see a vendor on the side of the road… 300 Jamaican dollars got us about 15 mangoes. Talk about a bargain. All kinds, and juicy! Since it is mango season in June. Das was very informative and really knows his way around the island. There’s so much to talk about on the ride you don’t even notice the time passing by. I highly recommend this tour.

Amazing experience! We started our trip with coconut (my favorite)! Lol, YS Falls is soo beautiful. I love how it wasn't crowded. They recommend getting a guide to walk you through the falls, so we did, and he did NOT disappoint! He got the best pictures and videos without us noticing it most of the time. We lounged in the pool after we did the falls, and it was super relaxing. After we went to the Appleton Estate for a rum tasting experience - very informational & it included complimentary welcome drinks. (Everyone was buzzed by the time the tour started). It was a full day of fun! Our driver was Das, and he was friendly and super helpful.

This was a long drive but a great tour! Georgia, our guide, was awesome! She was very knowledgeable and patient with us! We enjoyed talking with her for the travel there and back! She is a great driver because the road taken was tricky! She made the experience very delightful! On my next trip I will definitely take another tour as long as she is our guide! If you want to know the great history of Jamaica and have good company...please ask for Georgia!!
