Not quite a tour of Jamaica

This is not a tour of the island you do get a personal driver who takes you to Negril and Rick's Cafe. You spend 3 to 4 hours at the beach. And about 3 hours at Rick's cafe. The driver was very nice and pointed out some sites along the way.

The boat ride has extremely disrespectful staff , pay at your own risk

I feel so bad leaving a one star review under this man’s listing . I want to say the driver/owner of this driving service is incredibly nice and respectful man. My problem came when the driver took us to Negril seven mile beach and we got on a charter boat . 15 minutes after setting sail we stopped to snorkel. My seven year old daughter and my husband got into the water while I stayed on the boat enjoying rum punch and smoking. There were 2 Jamaican men and 2 American women sitting behind me having a conversation. At some point one the guys get on the boat ledge in front of me. The guy behind me says to the guy on the ledge to “find your own girl leave mine alone “ then he gestures towards me and says “ talk to her “ . The guy in front of me looks at me with disgust, says “I don’t want that girl “ in patwa then jumps into the water. I was feeling down after that , being treated poorly for no reason sucks but I wanted to try to make the best of the boat ride anyway. So i decided to get up and find my family in the water . I walked up to the captain who was talking to 3 females in bikinis . When he was finished talking to them I asked “hey can I get in the water “ he did not respond. I said it again “ hey can I get in “ he said “no, everyone is coming back in , you can get off at the next stop. “ I said really because the girls you just talked are getting in right now. Again he just stared at me silent. So I said again “ ok so why is it ok for them to get in and not me ? At that moment the girl who getting in the water looks to her friend and says we “will just jump in then jump back out.” The captain then says to me “well can you swim “ I said “ what does that have to do with anything? Did you ask them if they can swim ?” At this point I’m tried of going back and forth and say I want off the boat . We are 15 minutes from shore and I’m being disrespected left and right. I told the captain I want off and he ignored me once more . I found another crew member and asked who the captain was, he confirmed that it was the captain who I had been speaking to. The captain refused to answer any of my questions and only spoke to others when they asked questions. I spent the next 30 minutes being filmed by other boat passengers while I cried. I paid over $500 to be embarrassed and made to feel isolated and uncomfortable when I just wanted to have a good time with my family. After this experience I want to leave Jamaica and never return. Side note I’m here for 1 week celebrating my 30th birthday. I should have stayed home .

Driver apparently wasn’t...

Driver apparently wasn’t aware of where he was taking us. Stopped at la local shop that was extremely overpriced. Stopped at a beach but it rained hard so couldn’t enjoy. No good bathrooms. Rick’s had a beautiful sunset but was really overcrowded and over hyped.

Our guide, ojay was terrific! The review has nothing to do with him. As a family we looked through the different excursions and we thought as the title says, we were going to a private area of the beach. We would’ve rather stayed at our resort ls beach than go sit at margaritaville, where it’s loud and really jammed. That’s a good scene for people wanting to party forsure, but not what we were after.

We took a private trip and it was great! Pick on time, nice air conditioning ride- it was a hot day so that felt great. The sites were also great , the beach , lunch, shopping and ended at Rick’s . The best of all was our driver Christina was fabulous and made us feel right at home hanging out with family. She was very nice.

Der Tour Giude war super. Hat alles gut geregelt und war ein guter Fahrer. Leider hatten wir ein bisschen Pech mit dem Wetter. Es hat geregnet. Und deshalb war es nicht so toll am Strand. Aber trotzdem sollte man sich den Strand auf jeden Fall anschauen. Alleine das Wasser dort ist einfach Klasse. Auch Ricks Cafe muss man mal gesehen haben.

Translated The Tour Giude was great. Organized everything well and was a good driver. Unfortunately we were a bit unlucky with the weather. It rained. And that's why it wasn't great on the beach. But you should definitely check out the beach. The water there alone is just great. You also have to see Rick's Cafe. I just wish I was the weather man lol 😂.
