Jerome was my guide- he was absolutely amazing and very knowledgeable about the land and their island. It was soo fun and relaxing getting the massage and talking like we were old friends. After the tour he even showed us around to the places near and gave us an immersive experience. Great hospitality and it really felt genuine 🖤 thanks Jerome! Your pick up time is the time you selected when booking the tour which is at the top of your ticket, the actual start time of the excursion depends on what time you get to the excursion site. Our driver will meet each guest at the front lobby of the pick up point and take them to the excursion, wait for them and take them back to their place of stay. Please be in lobby or front of pick up area, please bring towel incase you get wet and extra cash incase you decide to tip or shop! Thank you for booking with us. Please note Weight Limit is 300lb each person and may attract additional fee for separate raft if both person is over the limit.

Mark was our driver and started the trip with an excellent explanation of the area as we made our way to Lethe River. Jerome made the experience on the river unforgettable with history, laughs, a wonderful limestone massage. The kindness shown to my elderly mom by both men made the day truly memorable!!! I'd go this again in a minute when we return!

Enjoyed the rafting! Very relaxing - Kevin was funny, and a great tour guide along the river. Cleverton, the bus operator, was also a great guide. Ride to rafting was 90 minutes from Montego Bay, so add 3 hours to stated tour time. Bathroom at venue was barely operable. Expect to be bombarded by vendors when you arrive at the site and when you return from the rafting trip.

My sister and I recently did the Bamboo Rafting & Limestone Massage experience at Great River in Lethe District, and it was one of the highlights of our trip to Jamaica! The experience was absolutely amazing, and a huge part of that was because of our raft captain, Jerome. From the moment we arrived, Jerome was professional, polite, welcoming, and incredibly knowledgeable. He made us feel comfortable right away and took the time to ensure we had everything we needed throughout the entire experience. His customer service was exceptional, and he truly went above and beyond to make our rafting trip memorable. Not only was Jerome an excellent raft captain, but he also gave one of the best limestone leg and foot massages! The massage was relaxing, refreshing, and exactly what we needed while enjoying the beautiful scenery along the river. On top of that, Jerome kept us laughing the entire time. His personality, sense of humor, and positive energy made the experience even more enjoyable. What stood out most was how attentive and accommodating he was. He made sure we were comfortable, answered our questions, shared information about the area, and created a fun, laid-back atmosphere that made us feel like we were spending time with a friend rather than just a tour guide. If you’re planning to do bamboo rafting at Great River in Lethe District, I highly recommend requesting Jerome specifically as your raft captain. Trust me—it makes a difference! We had the BEST time bamboo rafting on Saturday! From start to finish, the entire experience was smooth, organized, and very professional. Our group had six different captains, and every single one of them was kind, welcoming, and made sure we were comfortable the whole time. The limestone massage was absolutely perfect—some of us did just our legs while others went for the full body, and both options were amazing. Such a relaxing and unique experience! They also made a stop so we could grab food, and let me just say… the food was GOOD. We had drinks, music, and even got to dance a little—such a vibe! Special shoutout to my captain, Jerome—he was friendly, attentive, and really went above and beyond to take care of us. You can tell these guys work incredibly hard, and it shows in the service they provide. Highly recommend this experience to anyone visiting Jamaica—you won’t regret it!

Great people - Good trip - Just prep for extra costs

I thoroughly enjoyed the hospitality on this trip. Everyone is kind, and once on the water with a little music the raft is a vibe. The only downside were the unexpected costs. Pros: We chose this raft experience because it let us pay for the rafting exclusively separate from the driver. We were able to get our own driver which saved us some cost. The river was peaceful and still recovering from hurricane Melissa, but dope and very green nonetheless. The hurricane had effects on the tourism economy so we were happy to be able to contribute. Our guide Kevin was very nice and hospitable and so were the other vendors at the site. The actual operation of the rafts through the river by the attendants was impressive athletically as well. We had music and were put at ease by the staff so everything was solid in that regard. It was a 30min drive through the mountains with no service so I would suggest arranging a ride to the river and back before losing your phone signal. Cons: I understand tourism is a business but a little heads up to the costs beforehand would have been solid so that we could prepare. I would give a heads up to the fellas, that the Limestone scrub (which I thought was included) is extra for men because the tour guides don't scrub guys and you'll have to tip the women to do it (extra cost). We spent a solid amount of time docked for Limestone massage and my gf and I wanted more time on the actual river for photos but we told our guide and he helped us get more time for some good photos. I thought the rum punch could be more reasonably priced as $20 a cup are NYC cocktail lounge prices. I understand this is the hustle, but what turned into us saving a little cash by not going through our resort, turned into having to shell out unexpected cash to enjoy the full experience. I would recommend to a friend from a hospitality standpoint, but I'd tell them to possibly come prepped with their own libations.

Amazing Bamboo Rafting Experience with Jerome & Raymond!

We had an amazing bamboo rafting experience in Jamaica, and a big part of that was thanks to Jerome and Raymond! Jerome was our raft guide, and he truly made the experience special. He was funny, personable, and shared so much about the local culture, which made the ride feel more meaningful and not just like a tour. He also gave an incredible limestone massage — definitely a highlight of the experience! Raymond was our driver, and he was just as great. He made the entire trip smooth and comfortable, and went above and beyond to make it enjoyable for us. He took me to grab authentic Jamaican beef patties, and even took my daughter to get a fresh, real Jamaican coconut, which she loved. Those extra touches made the day feel more personal and memorable. If possible, I would absolutely recommend requesting Jerome and Raymond together — they make a great team and really elevate the whole experience. I would 100% book this again the next time I’m in Jamaica!
