Overview

Ride a horse through the fields and vineyards of the Uco Valley during this fully-day adventure from Mendoza. With your local guide, meet a group of gauchos, or traditional Argentine cowboys, in the town of El Manzano. Astride your friendly horse, trot through the valleys and across the mountainsides of the Andes. Arrive in Portezuelo de la Piedra Blanca to finish your ride with a traditional asado meal, prepared by the gauchos. I loved this tour. Our guide, Agustin was amazing and we had a great time. The horses were extremely well trained (I barely had experience with horses and they I felt comfortable). Also, the food was amazing and the wine was fantastic. Beautiful breathtaking views while you ride on horse back. Anyone traveling to the Mendoza area should consider this activity.

A Peaceful Ride into the Stunning Andes

We enjoyed a tranquil ride into the serene Andes Mountains. The trip was well-organized. The horses were gentle and well-trained. Even a first-time rider would feel comfortable on these horses. We rode through valleys, along ridges, and crossed streams. The list of what to pack was helpful, as the weather changes quickly at the high altitude. The gaucho host, Daniel, prepared amazing asado beef for lunch in the mountains. What a wonderful experience to be in the quiet wilderness with expert guides.
