My wife and I, along with our 12 year old daughter, took this tour in early April - it was incredible day! Michel was great - the itinerary was perfectly paced and gave us a great mix of history, natural beauty, and local charm. Aix-en-Provence was a beautiful first stop—walking through the medieval streets, having a coffee in a cafe, and browsing the local shops was such a lovely way to start the day. Cassis was a gem, and we really enjoyed our lunch by the port, soaking in the relaxing atmosphere… then a walking tour of old town. The drive along Route des Crêtes with a stop at Cap Canaille was breathtaking—a beautiful panoramic view of Cassis. And ending the tour at the Basilique Notre Dame de la Garde gave us a spectacular 360-degree view of Marseille. The Mercedes minivan was brand new and super comfortable, making the whole day even more enjoyable. But the real highlight was Michel, our guide. He was absolutely spectacular—friendly, easy to understand, knowledgeable about the region. He shared a lot of history with us, and his insights and stories brought each stop to life. He went out of his way to make sure we had a great time. I highly, highly recommend this tour. Ask for Michel if you can—you won’t be disappointed!

Spectacular / Not to be missed

Anais was a spectacular guide. We had no agenda, we just knew we wanted to experience the beauty of the surroundings. As a local, Anais knew all the special places - we went to Gordes where we ate lunch at La Bastide overlooking the oustanding view, crossed the valley to Roussillon where we bought local ceramics, and walked through a lavender field. The whole experience was one we will never forget. We will certainly go back and spend more time there thanks to Anais and her recommendations.

Great tour in Marseilles for limited mobility persons

I appreciate the guide's consideration and planning due to one of us having limited mobility. The only downside was Marseilles was very hot that day, but that is out of anyone's control.

The view of Cassis from the top of the mountain was incredible. Aix was beautiful, clean and safe. Lunch at La Rotonde was delicious. Especially loved the old cathedral that Franck took us to. It began to be built in the 11th century.

Michelle (our driver) picked us up promptly at the ship. He drove us to each destination while telling stories about the region, life in Marseille and a bit of history. He always had answers to any and all questions we had. Once we arrived at our location, he gave us a brief walkthrough, but then turned us loose to explore on our own. That was fun as well, the kids had time to shop and we just relaxed. It was our grandkids (both 18) favorite tour guide.

Day trip to Avignon and Les Baux

Our guide was excellent!. Clearly a highlight of our Mediterranean cruise. We especially enjoyed the Van Gogh Art show at Les Baux. Carrieres des Lumieres (Les Baux de Provence). We could have seen it 3 or 4 times. Just spectacular setting in the Rock Quarry. Worth every minute and of course Les Baux is so fun to explore. Enjoyed the views, the food, everything about it.

Sandy picked us up from our hotel in Marseilles and helped pack all our bags for our trip from Avignon. She took us to Aix-en-Provance where she walked us through the town on a wonderful tour! Afterwards we visited some beautiful little villages in the Luberon valley....but I must say, my favourite part was when she realised we loved the poppies in the fields all around us. Sandy drove us to a poppy field where there were absolutely and abundance of poppies! We took photos that looks like Van Gogh paintings!! Thanks Sandy you were a fantastic guide! IF we are ever in the area again we will definitely contact you again! we had the most awesome time.
