Subject: Feedback – Marmaris Pamukkale + Balloon Tour
Firstly, the hot air balloon experience was absolutely amazing — truly the highlight of the tour and an unforgettable moment. Thank you for making that part so special.
However, there were several aspects of the overall experience that could be improved:
1. Overcrowded Bus: The bus was extremely cramped with 18 people onboard. By the end of the long journey, our legs were sore, and I was genuinely concerned about the risk of thrombosis for myself, my mum, and my sister due to the lack of space. I even recommended aspirin afterward to help with circulation. It made an already long tour quite uncomfortable.
2. Very Long Tour: The tour itself felt excessively long and exhausting. With the early start, late finish, limited breaks, and tightly packed schedule, it was physically draining — especially given the cramped bus conditions.
3. Poor Communication: There was very little information provided in advance. For example, I asked beforehand if we needed to bring anything, but we weren’t told that it would be very cold in the early morning, leaving us unprepared.
4. Unclear Itinerary – Wine Tour: We were not informed about the wine tasting portion of the trip. As someone who doesn’t drink alcohol, I asked if there was a non-alcoholic option and was ignored, which made me feel excluded and led me to leave the room in frustration.
5. Unplanned Diamond Store Stop: We were also taken to a diamond store without prior notice. This stop was unexpected and felt more like a sales push than a meaningful part of the tour. More transparency would be appreciated.
6. Meals Without Drinks: Both breakfast and lunch were served without any drinks, which seemed basic and disappointing. Including a drink option would make the meals feel more complete.
7. Pamukkale Tour Pricing: The Pamukkale tour should be included in the overall cost. Many people didn’t bring cash and were left feeling like they had no choice but to pay, since otherwise they’d be stuck for three hours with nothing to do.
8. Balloon Basket Capacity: While the balloon ride was incredible, the basket was quite crowded with 10 people. Reducing the number to 8 would provide more space and allow everyone to enjoy the experience more comfortably.
I hope this feedback is helpful and constructive. The balloon ride was an incredible experience, but the rest of the tour would benefit from better communication, planning, and comfort considerations.

Very expensive, very early start and a very disappointing balloon flight. The balloon went up, travelled 200 metres and descended within 30 minutes. It did not ravel over or near the sites of Pamukkale, if anything it travelled away. The basket was crowded with 16 adults plus a couple of children. The pilot had only basic english and the final champagne toast was actually a non alcoholic aerated sweet concoction of unknown origin.
Do not waste your time with this add-on. The balance of the tour rates a 3+ but the balloon flight is a big negative.

Trip was cancelled and wasn’t told until an hour before our trip to which was 2 am may I add and was told of cancellation at 1 am , Not informed by Viator but by the operator of the trip. Cost in all was £490 I’m yet to get my refund . One man said it was because of the weather another said not enough people had booked to make it worth their while. Terrible service, unpredictable as to whether they will show up or let u know in plenty of time of cancellation. Never book book this balloon ride you could be very disappointed.

The hot air balloon ride was incredible and worth every cent. Even the early start didn't deter from the experience. I highly recommend this adventure. It was peaceful and beautiful. The team managing the hot air balloon were professional and helpful.
The rest of the experience was disappointing. The vagueness of the schedule allowed for a number of stops not mentioned in the booking and quite frankly dampened the lovely experience in the morning. We made several unannounced stops - all places trying to sell us something which added an additional couple of hours to the trip. It was very frustrating as we wanted to get back to our holiday, instead we were been sold onyx, jewellery, wine and other food products. We def did not sign up for this. The entire day was almost 16 hours not 12-13 as advertised. My time on holidays was precious and I did not appreciate someone else choosing how I spent it.
The champagne breakfast mentioned was fizzy cherry pop, the guides excuse was no drinking - not before breakfast. Breakfast was a Styrofoam box with a juice box, a bagel, some packeted cake with jam and cheese sachets. Coffee was extra. This was in a roadside shack.
Our guide was abrupt and impatient and caused a lot of confusion with lack of information. there were several people on our bus unhappy. I suspect that was reflected with lack of tips at the end of the trip.
Additional money was asked for on the bus to access the pools. Please include this in the price. No one has cash on them so we stopped at an ATM which charged €8 for the privilege of using.
Our morning experience was gorgeous but we were fed up by the time we got back to our hotel. Clarity is important when you are taking peoples money and time. Providing a clear schedule outlining exactly what the agenda is imperative. Ensuring your guide has manners is surely a given.
Would I recommend a hot air balloon ride, yes to everyone, would I recommend this package, I'm sorry to say I wouldn't.

Firstly this trip was advertised as a balloon flight and Pamukkale. As soon as we were on the coach we had to pay a further 700 lira each to enter Pamakkale. This was a bit of a supprize as it was not explained clearly on the viator discription. It shows as optional, I did happen to have the cash on me but not everyone did. I would say that
the optional discription is not accurate, you would have to go in, or sit in the coach park for 3 hours. It may be best to include this fee in the actual cost of the trip in future, and will avoid confusion. Once the 700 was paid it was not clear that this included the swimming. We took swimming things with us but we was under the impression this cost would be extra and so left it on the coach. Had we known it was included in the entry fee to Pamakkale, we would of taken our swimming stuff with us. It was not clear that you can paddle In the pools on the cliffs, but you can actually swim in Cleo Patra pool aswell. All of this information was pooly explained on the booking site.
The Balloon ride itself was amazing. Our pilot was brilliant There were alot of balloons going up by the time we got in the air sunrise was over, which was a shame. The flight and views were fab. Upon landing we were told we would receive a glass of champaign what we actuallly received was a glass of fizzy cherry. ade. this was a disappointment. There were also some unscheduled stops at the onex factory shop and the wine tasting shop, which was clearly focused on pressured sales of the products. NOT GOOD. Breakfast content was OK but the location was very disappointing, it looked like an abandoned unit. Lunch was much better. Overall due to the disappointments the confusion and lack of information I gave you 3 stars, Hopefully you will read this and take action to improve the experience for others in future.

Amazing experience with hot air balloon! The only down fall is it states hotel collection and drop off, the company did not want to pick us up from our hotel because it was ‘too far out’ even though it states any hotel in Marmaris (we were 15 mins from the strip & our tickets had our hotel confirmed as pick up/drop off). Eventually they picked us up but refused to take us back to the Hotel. The tour guide lied saying ‘we told him we wanted to get dropped off in the town centre’ and then said ‘its only a one way transfer’ when this wasn’t the case. We then had to get a separate taxi back to our hotel which we had to pay for. The moral of this incident has made me score the experience lower.

Best organised trip we've been on, kept well informed of pick up times by Mete. Our guide Sihan was excellent and full of historical knowledge about the area from start to finish. There is alot fitted into the day , highly recommended and well worth the money.

Fantastic views of the sun rising over Pumakkale with the air filled with Balloons. Also the visit round Hierapolis and the lime terraces was stunning. Our rep Nur was superb, friendly, helpful and so knowlegable. Ireally reccommend this trip.

Another issue is coffee charging: the most expensive in the world. But outside that excellent everything and as a plus the c visit to the onyx factory and a small wine tasting, very good, make this tour a very good experience and punctuality in the schedules
