Fantastic trip to Eswatini. Door-to-door service, everything taken care of and couldn’t have been easier.
My guide, Ofiço, was very knowledgeable and helpful about both Eswatini and Mozambique, and he made sure we saw as much of Eswatini as possible on our trip.

This is a very nice way to experience Eswatini from Maputo, it's a long drive but what you will experience at the destination is very interstellar and nice.

We had a lovely day and our guide was very helpful. We saw a surprising number of animals as we drove through the national park, enjoyed breakfast in the park, visited a cultural village with a wonderful performance, lunch in a lovely outdoor setting with shops. We stopped by a candles factory and story that what had several shops and a market. We returned to Maputo around 6pm. Highly recommend this tour.

Alfa was an amazing guide, he was thoughtful and flexible to our needs. He made us feel very safe and helped us pass police checkpoints and border control quickly and avoid traffic. Make sure to ask him lots of questions as his knowledge and unique perspective on Mozambique and eswatini is supremely interesting. Thanks for a great day!

Great tour , highly recommended to see a new country. Eswatini very clean , safe , & friendly people. Boarder crossing was very smooth. Car was big , had a good rest on the way in.

This tour is absolutely amazing. You get to see the countryside of two countries and then see the the culture of the Swazi people. Guide was patient and efficient. Couldn’t ask for anything more.

I had an amazing time on a solo trip to Eswatini, the drive is a drive and of course can be dreading but Alfainho was able to make time fly by with amazing conversation about his culture in Mozambique and what he knows about Eswatini. The border control can take a while depending on how many people are there and like any country the immigration officer may ask for money (don’t give it to them, they know better). The cultural village and the dances and songs they performed are outstanding and definitely worth the price of the tour given the amount of driving it requires. Would recommend to a friend, felt safe overall! :)

I did the Eswatini tour and loved every single moment! It was amazing to get to know a little bit of a different country and witness a new culture. My favorite part was when I visited the Matenga Cultural Village - the dance, the people, the music - fabulous, one of my best cultural experiences I had! The guide was super nice and informative, gave me all the time to explore. And last but not least, the lunch was very good with a nice view around. It's a long day but worth it! For first time travellers in Eswatini, this tour is great to have an idea of the cultural background of the country - I recommend!!

We really had a fun day seeing quite a bit of Eswatini. It is a long day but you see a lot and the car is comfortable. Some comments mentioned bad roads but it is just a small part of the trip it was not an issue at all. The dance presentation at the cultural center was really the highlight. Was great to see and very entertaining. Lunch was very good as well. Long day but worth the investment.

The one day 1-day Eswatini (Swaziland) Country Tour from Maputo was wonderful. I was picked up at 5:30 am and back by 5:30pm. The roads are a little rough but my driver & guide, "Tunie", was fabulous at maneuvering around the potholes. I enjoyed the 3 part approach: nature, culture and handicrafts. I enjoyed learning about the Swazi culture and joining in the dance as well as getting my fortune told by a medicine man.

It was memorial, educational and overall beautiful. I reached out to the contact number to arrange a special birthday experience for my wife and that was amazing. The Eswatini traditional dancers did a special show for my wife, there was cake and singing. I couldn’t have asked for anything more. Our tour guide (Mr. Marciano) was phenomenal. Thank you!

From anticipating my needs before the tour date with multiple check-ins, offering to change the tour date for a cheaper price, and answering multiple questions about arrival details in Maputo. We discussed all parts of both Mozambique & Eswatini lives, & I am so happy I got to have him all to myself for 12 hours!! 🙂

Amazing excursion! Definitely one of the highlights during my stay in Maputo.
First, I'd like to thank our guide Ofiço for all the help and knowledge. He was a great guide and maintained contact well before the trip.
Eswatini isn't a country most of us think to visit, but I figured I'd knock "another stamp" on my passport while in Mozambique. I must say, Eswatini and it's people completely blew my mind. The beauty, the culture, the atmosphere, everything was amazing.
My favorite part was definitely the cultural village and getting pulled to dance at the end of the performance! The waterfall is breathtaking also.
I've seen most complaints about the trip itself and the drive. Though a lengthy drive and a long day, keep in mind that you get to witness the flat lands of Mozambique turn into the mountainous region of Eswatini so its a very scenic drive to also enjoy. Cannot recommend this tour enough. Thank you Ofiço!

But we wholly agree, Eswatini is amazing and worth the long drive!
If you can't do this trip in two days clients can opt for the 2-day tour which has the added bonus of a full game drive at Hlane where we always see Rhinos and lions.

What a fantastic day! I could not have asked for a cooler or nicer guide than Miguel. He was very informed about what was going on and yet chill! It was a great combo, and, if I had the opportunity, I would spend another day with Miguel in a second! There were many parts of the day that I loved --especially doing to the cultural center and the candle shop/crafts "compound". I'm an artist-type so seeing the art and culture up front and close like that was memorable and valuable! The lunch they provide is amazing (and they give you a lot of choices of what you'd like to eat). The food was very tasty and the restaurant was in a lovely, scenic, outdoors location. Something that is extra nice about going with Miguel is that he goes so frequently to Eswatini, that it seems like "everyone" knows him (from the people at the border to the people at the centers and stores we go to). That helps. I was afraid of having a difficult time at the border because of a single entrance (only) Visa, but the company prepared me for what I needed to bring and then Miguel executed the "plan" with perfection. We passed the border in 20 minutes, almost like there was no Visa issue at all. It's because Miguel had instructed me beforehand exactly how to act and what to do (and not do). He is REALLY smart (and cool). I honestly could not have asked for a better tour guide or a better overall day. This was the PERFECT end to my 2-weeks in Southern Africa! And despite the fact that --being a solo traveler-- the trip was a little costly (especially since I am mostly a student right now), it was worth every cent and I would do it again in a heartbeat! Moreover, even though I travel alone A LOT and am considered a seasoned traveler by some, I never would have been been able to --on my own-- put together the package that the company and Miguel gave me of Eswatini! And I have a lot of experience putting together personal packages. Thank you again Miguel for such a great day and for many great memories of Eswatini & of how cool Mozambican people are. You bring a lot of joy and happiness to people's lives. Obrigada a si, à Maputo Tours, e à Viator for a memory I'll carry with me forever ; )

Our guide, Miguel, was excellent. He provided a lot of useful information and was very friendly, polite and respectful. He was flexible when we had any special requests and he made it easy for us to navigate the border crossings and put us at ease. We really enjoyed our day in Eswatini.

I would not take this tour again.
On the tour itself: the attractions are very nice but the driving is brutal. We spent more than 8 hours on the road for 4 hours of actual attractions. I don’t regret doing it, but I wouldn’t repeat.
On the tour operator: this was the worst part. I was expecting a tour guide, which is why I hired a tour operator. Instead, they gave me a driver - a nice driver, but who did not explain where we were going and what we were seeing. For that I could have hired my own driver for a lot less. Other than that, there was no to little preparation on their part. The driver missed a couple of turns on the way to the traditional village, which caused us to lose half of the dancing show. After such a long drive, missing such a big portion of the thing was frustrating. Lunch was good - the place they took me was great, but the driver did not know what was included or not, so it was also annoying. And finally, he just stopped at the candle factory (after also missing a couple of turns and driving through some very rough terrain), with no explanation about what it was or why we went there. For $440 for the day, the whole thing was very underwhelming.

I'm deeply saddened that you did not have a positive experience yesterday. We always strive to provide memorable experiences and quality service.
Since the pandemic we had to let most of our guides go and we now have one principal guide who does Eswatini.
We contacted you earlier in the week asking if you could join the groups that went on Friday and Sunday but Saturday was the only day you were available. Our main Eswatini guide did the Friday and Sunday tours but he can't do three tours in three days at is a 16hour day for him so he rested on Saturday
The guide who took you yesterday (he is a guide, he's been guiding for ten years) had not done an Eswatini tour since before Covid (2019) and he did complain when he returned that the road works that had been done since his last trip did disorientate him. I understand your frustration about arriving late for the dancing/music performance, this really is disappointing. I'm very sorry about this.
Regarding the amount of driving, we agree, and we usually suggest that our clients take the 2-day tour as it's 450km of driving and there is no way around this unfortunately - we highly recommend spreading this 450km over two days. The 2-day tour is a much better experience - we sleep in Mlilwane's traditional beehive huts with warthogs and gnus and other animals walking around. And you can hike to the spectacular Execution Point.
I'm very sorry you had a negative experience. This is not who we are as you can see by the dozens of other positive reviews we have.
