We booked this trip the night before as we had 5 hours to wait before we were going to be able to check in for our flight and had never had the chance to see Male. Unfortunately our flight back to Male was delayed and we arrived two hours late. Our guide waited for us and offered to take us on an abbreviated trip and we spent a great two hours in Male catching as many highlights as possible. We saw the Presidents office, Presidents residence, a mosque with a support structure carved from coral as well as a memorial across from Sultan park. We returned back to the airport right on time and are happy that we were able to have had the abbreviated trip rather than lost everything.

This was a wonderful walking tour of the City of Male. You are guided to important landmarks of the city, thanks to a very knowledgeable and eloquent guide. Ours was Mr. Irushad. Along the way, you will also learn about Maldivian history and culture. A must-do if you want to enjoy more than the beaches that the Maldives is known for.
