The overnight tour to Calendula Falls in Malange was truly extraordinary. From the moment we left Luanda, the entire experience felt like a moving glimpse into the heartbeat of Angola. We drove through several cities and towns, witnessing life shift from the fast-paced rhythm of the capital to the slower, peaceful cadence of rural villages a contrast that made the journey as meaningful as the destination.
The botanical gardens were lush and calming, but nothing compares to that first breathtaking moment when Calendula Falls comes into view. It’s pure natural beauty on an almost spiritual level — powerful, untouched, and unforgettable.
The guided hike from the falls to the hotel took about an hour across challenging terrain, and with good boots and expert guidance, it became one of those adventures that makes you feel vibrantly alive. The hotel and food provided the perfect warmth and comfort afterward, a soft landing after an exhilarating day.
One of the absolute highlights was lunch along the Kwanza River, where we enjoyed fresh fish prepared right on the spot. Eating that meal surrounded by nature felt authentic, peaceful, and deeply connected to Angola’s culinary and cultural roots.
The next morning’s hike to the Black Rocks added even more magic dramatic landscapes, unique formations, and a sense of quiet power that made the experience feel almost otherworldly.
Yes, the drive is long about seven hours each way but the scenic stops and thoughtful pacing made it smooth, enjoyable, and part of the adventure itself.
I wholeheartedly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Angola. It’s beautifully curated, deeply enriching, and something I can’t wait to experience again

This was one of the most memorable trips I ever had. This all inclusive trip involves long drives and totally worth it. The falls were beautiful, there was no one else that day at the falls and the hotel we stayed it. It felt like connecting to the nature through the Falls and nature. My room was directly overlooking the falls, one of the best view hotel room I ever had. Our guide Ateson was great, drove well, gave us enough information and made sure we are comfortable, took pics where we wanted. I am vegetarian and he arranged that without any issues. Our car had water, snacks, and soft drinks, which was very nice. Rarely do you see a tour company providing you anything other than water. I did Luanda city tour also with the same company and I was very happy with that too. If you are planning a trip to the Calandulla falls, look no further, book this tour.

Such an amazing, unforgettable experience! Calandula Falls and Pedras Negras were spectacular, and Ivone is the best guide you could ask for. She is unbelievably knowledgeable, and can answer any question you have about Angola. She is also professional and responsive, and consistently went above and beyond to make sure that everyone’s experience was as special as possible. Encontramos Edson às 6:30 e partimos rumo às Quedas de Calandula. Edson é uma pessoa muito inteligente e amigável. Embora dirija bem, poderia ter sido um pouco mais cauteloso nas estradas angolanas. No caminho, almoçamos em N’dalatando, o que nos permitiu visitar o Orto Florestal Jardim Botânico de Angola. Adorei a experiência de um jardim botânico imersivo, com muita diversidade e um ambiente extremamente natural. Na saída, provamos o Maruvo e logo seguimos para Calandula.
Chegando em Calandula, ficamos surpresos ao descobrir que nossa pousada estava praticamente dentro das quedas. Descemos uma trilha até o rio e exploramos as cataratas de barco e a pé. A trilha de volta foi ainda mais emocionante, pois subimos perto das quedas em um caminho repleto de lama.
No dia seguinte, acordamos cedo e pegamos a estrada novamente, desta vez para o outro lado das cataratas. Foi mais uma experiência incrível, com fotos lindas. Em seguida, dirigimos até Pungo Andongo. Que lugar impressionante! Ficamos maravilhados com o tamanho das pedras, a lenda local e a vista. Do alto, avistamos o majestoso Rio Kwanza, no Kwanza Norte. Continuamos nossa viagem e chegamos a Luanda à noite.

飛行機の欠航と代替便への変更となりましたが、それに合わせて空港からツアーを開始してくれました。
ドライバーさんとガイドさんと３人でツアーの開始です。
ガイドさんは英語が堪能ではありませんでしたが、Wi-Fiが使え翻訳アプリで説明してくれ、困ることはほとんどありませんでした。
１日目はカランドゥラの滝を正面から見ました。
２日目は滝から水が落ちる場所から見れました。
そのあとブラックロックに行きました。
どちらも自分一人で行くには難しいので、有意義なツアーになりました。
飲み物も含め食事もすべてついています。
それよりもさらによかったのは、このツアー会社に予約した後、アライバルビザの手続きをしてくれたことです！
日本人にとってアンゴラビザは取得が難しいので、これを機会にたくさんの日本人がアンゴラを簡単に訪れることができると思います！！
