Traveler Beware of This Tour!

The day was a total bust! First of all our guide was 45 minutes late! It took us an additional 15 minutes to finagle our way out of the port. The guide started our tour by telling us we were going to the Kwanza River, an hour away. After driving an hour I asked how much further and our guide said an hour, very far away. We started getting worried because of our limited time in port. We decided to forgo that “not sure how much longer” and go to the Slave Museum and cultural area that was supposed to be part of the tour but our guide said that was impossible because it was to far away…an hour and 45 minutes away. Now we were really frustrated. We ended up being driven back an hour to visit the fort. So did we go anywhere on the original itinerary? No! We finally just gave up and had them drop us off at the mall to take the shuttle back to the ship! Additionally, our guide was very I knowledgeable about anything! We had to ask questions and then she flip flopped her answers! We didn’t learn anything about the city, people, or culture! Very disappointed! Do not travel with Vantour Angola!
