Great shore excursion while in port! Beautiful scenery while in route in a nice comfortable van that meet us right at the pier. The National park where you ride on the beach is stunning!! Our guide was friendly and knowledgeable. I was able to ride in the van to the beach to get pictures of my husband and son while they rode. The stop at the home of the village matriarch was lovely! We made flour tortillas from premade dough and they cooked them over a beach wood fire and we then enjoyed them with goat cheese and beans, delicious!!!!!

About half of the animals were horses, the others were mules. Not really a problem for trail riding but not all horseback. The trail along the bay was very scenic. The end of the tour was a demonstration on how to make handmade tortillas. Sounds not interesting however the family that opened their house for this were amazing as were the tortillas, beans, and goat cheese, all homemade.

You don't have to be an experienced rider. The horses are well suited toand accustomed to the routine. The trail takes you to the Cortez sea. You ride along the water and ehjoy the scenery of a large large rock that's considered an island. It apparently over thousands of years rose up from the depths below. We then continued on to where the ride started. We then met a elderly woman who gave us all a lesson on how to prepare tortillas the ancient way. She had a make shift grill with a wood fire going. We formed them and cooked them, then added goat cheese and beans with a beverage of choice. All together about 3 to 3 and a half hours. I recommend it .

This was such a memorable experience must try. The guide was so nice and knowledgeable gave us facts about the surrounding area, we laughed a lot. The ride up the coast was absolutely beautiful.
