The weaving village and the pottery village are not worth being seen at all. The best part was the waterfall where we were provided with a great local guide. The driver was nice and he paid on our behalf for entrances in rupiahs but tried to be smart and greedy with the exchange rate.

We were met at the cruise port by our very friendly driver and guide Tamat. Tamat spoke excellent English and drove us around the island of Lombok for 5 hours according to what we wanted to stop and see. Beaches and village life. Tamat was very knowledgeable and proud of his island of Lombok, courteous and he provided great insight on Lombok for us within the time frame that we had on the cruise schedule.

Myself and 11 other solo travellers from the UK had a very memorable day out on Lombok from our cuise ship port in April 2025. Andy, our driver, also organised an exilerating speed boat add on to take us to and from Gili Trawangan where we to spend 2 hours on this paradise island.. I was able to contact Andy via Whats App before we left the UK to agree the places we wanted to visit and he put my mind at rest about all the arrangements. The minibus we used was very modern, comfortable with A/C and water was supplied. Andy told us so much about life on Lombok and the sights we visited. I highly recommend this Viator supplier.

We had a great experience and our guide was informative and friendly. It was a great excursion for the money. Saw a lot and got back to the ship in plenty of time.
At first we had trouble finding our guide/driver because he was standing under the shade of a tree with a group of other tour vendors. Finally, I saw him in the crowd holding a small sign. On our next day in Lomok, we told the guide to meet us in front of the small mosque that is next to where the guides meet. The small mosque has a shady entrance so it is easy to find your guide there.

This was an perfect way to see an island in a country we had never been to before. The drivers were personable, friendly, accommodating knowledgeable, and were a joy to spend the day with. Obviously, the driver and host makes a big difference so I can’t speak to anyone other than the two we had but I can tell you that ours were top-notch.

We were on an overnight cruise stop in Bali. Our driver for both days, Rio, did a great job in navigating through the chaotic Bali traffic to get us to our destinations in good time. We never felt rushed and could take our time soaking in the atmosphere of Bali. Overall a great experience and highly recommended, especially for those on a cruise stop in Bali who would like to customise their own itinerary.

Our guide/driver Sabri took us to the places we had first chosen. However, we realized afterwards that the amount paid for this service was much higher than what was offered at the port by taxi drivers and compared to the next day in Bali when we took the same kind of excursion for a third of the price
