This is a walking guided tour that takes you to 10 interesting locations in Liège. At each one, there is a puzzle that you can solve by looking closely at the building or reading a nearby plaque. I definitely needed the hints in order to solve the puzzles, but with the hints, I was able to solve them all. Luckily, if you cannot solve a puzzle, you can still move forward using the skip button.
The coolest thing I saw on my tour was not one of the 10 buildings. It was mentioned in between two of the buildings., and I had to backtrack to get there. I would put the 378 step staircase on the tour officially, so people stop there at least and read about it. They can choose to go up the steps or not.
The second reason for this being a four instead of a five is that it did not end at the beginning site, as it said it was going to. When it ended, I was so turned around, that I actually walked the wrong way for a bit and was a little bit lost in the city. I found my way home, but it would have been nice for it to make the complete loop.
I liked that I could stop and come back to the tour. My husband and I did part of it the evening we arrived, and then he had meetings the next day, and I was able to complete it on my own. One of my favorite pieces was walking through the shopping mall to get to Saint Lambert’s place. I definitely missed that turn at first and was confused about where to go, but the three-story mall was a good discovery that I ended up going back to later!
