Asif met us at the pier. Unfortunately our ship was late and was also departing earlier than expected. He took it in stride and still got all the expected stops in. We learned alot of the history of the islands. We got to see puffins and also petted the Shetland ponies.

Good guide - but we expected and booked this based on the photo of the vehicle that was shown on website - a van with 2 double seats facing each other - very disappointed that as a group of 4, one sat in front seat, 2 in back seat & 1 in rear .
Truly the only reason that we booked was because of the website photo of van seat configuration so really bad.

My husband and I booked a private tour and had the pleasure of having Amanda as our guide. She took us all over the island. She packed us a nice lunch and we enjoyed it looking over the water and beach. Her soup was top notch!!! We saw so much and couldn’t have had a better day. We saw ruins, churches, light houses, harbors, beaches, cliff side views, puffins, shetland ponies and shetland sheep. We even saw ostriches and a couple of wallaby in Scotland! It was an amazing day!!!! Would recommend this for anyone wanting a personal explanation of the history and thorough view of this beautiful island.

First of all, Amanda is probably one of the best tour guides we've ever had. It felt like visiting a best friend in another country. She's vivacious, extremely knowledgeable and a wonderful driver. I actually don't have enough words to describe how perfect our day was. Amanda made sure we saw as much as humanly possible in the time that we had together ❤️ We saw ruins,old buildings, animals, nature, everything and anything that she felt was important for us to experience. She explained everything we were looking at perfectly. Everywhere we went, everyone said hello to her. So many people knew her. I'm sure she's very loved and I can see why. We didn't want to leave her. We highly recommend her. Don't miss Amanda if you come to Lerwick. Also on a side note, the communication between Pilar (viator) and us was perfect. Pilar always answers and reassures us that the meeting up with the guide will go seamlessly, and it did.

Broch of Clickimin and The Shetland Crofthouse Museum were both great stops. The Sumburgh Lighthouse had magnificent views and we saw Puffins up close. The countryside is breathtaking, as well as the beaches! Our guide, Tom was friendly, knowledgable, and accommodating.

Can I just say that the day was amazing. Tom was always making sure to share his heritage of the island, which we loved hearing. We had one that had walking issues and he made sure she felt safe at each stop. I wanted to see a beach and it was just beautiful. Also the little shop is full of local made items. My husband wanted fish and chips one last time before leaving the UK so as you can see we tailgated at the cruise terminal. Everyone in our group agreed that he did an amazing job. I would highly recommend him to you.

We had an incredible experience with Tom! He was super enthusiastic about his homeland and catered our experience to our interests. You can tell that he really enjoys sharing the highlights of Shetland, a stunning landscape. We were lucky to have really nice weather, so we got plenty of pictures of puffins! Tom our guide was excellent. We got off the ship early, called Tom and he showed up 10 minutes later. He was so knowledgeble and proud of his country. We spent the entire day with him, saw the whole island, had a great fish and chip lunch. Best excursion of our 12 day trip.

Guide was very informative for the places we visited and worked with the driver to include as many places as possible. The town hall was closed on the day we visited this city. The driver was very good and we felt safe at all times.
