Add some outdoor activities to your Las Vegas visit on this mountain biking trip to the nearby Red Rock Canyon. This adventure sports playground is just minutes from Las Vegas but still manages to offer a wealth of top-notch trails for mountain bike lovers.
Start your trip in the morning or afternoon (depending on the tour option selected) leaving from the Las Vegas Strip. Then begin your short drive out to this stark yet beautiful national conservation area to begin your ride.
Strap on your included helmet, grab your included bottled water and climb aboard your choice of bike, choosing from among a Specialized Stumpjumper, the Santa Cruz Hightower, or Specialized Stumpjumper FSR Comp Carbon. Then ride out onto the trail with your guide, who rides in the area regularly and can provide insight into sights and trail tips during your trip.
Cycle along the Mustang Trail, a single-track path that offers a great introduction to mountain biking in the area. Start with a 1-mile (1.6km) ascent, followed by 2-mile (3.22km) downhill into the foothills of Black Velvet. The ride’s rapid pace, with relatively easy climbs, ensure a ride that’s great for adventurous newbies. More expert riders can also extend their trail ride with longer sections to increase the difficulty. Total distance is between seven to 12 miles (11 to 19km).

Had a great morning with April, our guide. Just myself and one other rider. I was not as experienced as the other two however never felt rushed and they both assured me there was no rush. The bikes were in excellent condition, the pick up was on time and a snack and water was provided. Beautiful terrain. I will definitely do it again but maybe use the e-bike option next time.

Pick up was on time and with a smile.
The drive was smooth to the beginning of the trail.
The e-bike were good and I enjoy riding them.
The train them self are flow trails with a lot of gravel, this wasn't a technical trail except of some relative steep climbs.

JJ was excellent. We were three people who didn’t know each other, and he figured out our skill level right away and took us on a longer ride than usual. It was perfect. Two hours later, we were happy and tired.

It’s a very unique experience, challenging for uphill paddling and thrilling downhill. The weather is mild and perfect because there is no shades. Our guide is very skilled and knowledgeable so we know we can trust him. Bikes are top notch. Don’t go if you are too old.

The whole ride was awesome. Kirk was great. Really knowledgeable about the bike and the area where we rode in. He waited for me when had to walk my bike up a couple of hills. Strongly considering taking another mtb tour.

He made sure everyone on the tour was adequately hydrated, fueled with snacks and made frequent rest stops. Challenging ride, lots of gravel and rocks on the path but the bikes are top notch with tires that grip. Our guide was awesome, I felt completely safe with him and he was very encouraging. Beautiful views and landscape. Highly recommend if you are the adventurous type.

My wife and I were in Vegas to catch Phish at the Sphere, and had little interest in joining the parade of sadness and dispair around the casino tables. We signed up through Viator for the Escape Adventures Half-day Cottonwood Valley/Mustang Trail Singletrack e-Mountain Bike ride, and can't say enough good things about the experience. From sign up, to numerous emails and texts about waivers, what to bring and expect, sizing for the bikes, pedal preferences, and meeting place and time, everything was clearly explained and professionally organized. On the day of the ride, our guide Dave W. showed up 15 minutes early with the bikes in an Escape Adventures logo'd van and was super nice, and chill. Dave drove us to the Late Night Trailhead parking lot, which was about 35 minutes from the Mirage Rideshare pickup area. Dave suggested we drink a lot of water during the drive (he came with a bunch for us), as the weather was sunny and 92 degrees and the desert is hot and dry. After a quick pitstop at the lot facilities, and a review by Dave of how the Specialized e-Mountain bike's (sweet Levo carbon mullets) power assist feature operated, we were off riding through some of the most beautiful and dramatic desert scenary imaginable - Yucca plants, Joshua Trees, big spiney beaver tail cactus - so cool. This was our first time using e-MTB bikes, and I highly recommend them - you'll ride further and have more fun, especially in such a hot and dry environment - well worth the upgrade! The singletrack trails were a sweet mix of sand, gravel and hard pack, and so so flowy. Coming from New England rock and root gardens, this was nirvana (no wet root PTSD today!). Since my wife was a bit nervous on the single track, she took one for the team and offered to ride the jeep trails while Dave and I ripped around on the single track, zooming out and back, criss-crossing her path and meeting back up with her several times. Throughout the ride, Dave was great about pointing out jumps and alternate paths (I like to send it, but today was a no crash day). 10.7 miles later, and a few more bottles of water and bike bottles with electrolyte mix courtesy of Dave, our awesome afternoon in the desert was complete! If you are an experienced rider, DO NOT PASS THIS UP! Dave will get you the goods! If a beginner, you can either ride the single track slowly or stick to the wider jeep trails. All in all, a 10/10 experience, and a highlight of our Vegas trip! I highly recommend Dave W. and Escape Adventures!

One of the best and most memorable outings we did while in Vegas. Dave is an excellent guide, great at adapting the ride to the skill set of the group, and is an all around good and very interesting human. If you're stuck in Vegas and need a breath of fresh air to get grounded, this is a great choice. If I ever end up in Vegas again, I'll do this one again!

I only had 24 hours to explore in Vegas, and booked this mountain biking tour of the Red Rock mountains. The tour group were very accomodating as I had awkward travel arrangements. They made it easy and I appreciate how they helped. The touring van and trip out was comfortable, the bike was like brand new (full suspension). The guide, Dakota was brilliant. A true biking enthusiast, a true local to the mountains, he had loads of knowledge about biking there, the nature around us, and about the City itself. Most of all he brought real enthusiasm to the dirt trails! Im really glad I chose to skirt around in the nature of Vegas, before I went into the lights of Vegas.

We had a great time in the red rock canyon, my husband and I had a great day riding our bikes through those nice trails and enjoying amazing views. All aspects were well managed from pick up, bikes, guide, drop off, etc, the tour was long enough to feel the work out but still ok for a relaxing vacation day, well planned indeed. I definitely recommend it and will do it again!. Costa Rica.

Great experience riding the trail in Red Rock canyon, super friendly and helpful staff. Bike was too notch and virtually brand new. The only let down was how little riding we actually did vs the journey out there. I expected more than an 1hr ride time for the price.

I loved the escape from the city crazyness and the desert landscapes. We were a small group riding those trails in the middle of the rocks and the cactus. We challenged ourselves on the rocks, the ebikes are fun and great to ride. Our guide Bob was also very nice
