Kanazawa is a wonderful experience. The Gardens were spectacular, very calming and spiritual. The castle alongside equally as impressive. Touring the Geisha district gave us the closest Japanese experience yet.

Kanazawa is a beautiful city with a long history connected to samurai culture, and it has developed its own unique traditions. It is a great honor for me to share its charm with visitors from overseas. In April, Kenrokuen Garden is especially lovely, with fresh green leaves and double cherry blossoms. It is one of the best times of the year to visit. Although the tour was only four hours, I am very happy to hear that you enjoyed it. I truly appreciate your warm words.

Yoshi is a great guide, so helpful and easy to understand. Without him, we could not have navigated the various districts with the historical insights he provided. He picked out a great place for lunch by the garden, helped us order while regaling us with stories of city.

Tomoko was our Guide for our day trip visiting Kanazawa and highly recommended!
We found her to be kind, informative and utterly passionate in sharing of her home village.
She met us at the Train Station, and from there we embarked on a lovely day filled with beautiful sights; gorgeous gardens, architectural designs, and crafts galore.
We visited historic geisha & samurai districts, imagining ourselves transported back in time courtesy of her exceptional narratives, and together with her scrapbook of photos and artistic images, lent a deeper understanding on the rich impact to the culture of Japan of this quaint hidden gem.
Our time with Tomoko actually felt like an excursion with a family friend. We found her spirited and engaging - making her a wonderful ambassador for Kanazawa.

Yumi is an incredible guide. Please make sure you ask for her. For starters, our tour was highly customizable. We already had our top 3 things we wanted to see in Kanazawa and Yumi was able to adapt the entire tour to prioritize those. Yumi is super knowledgeable about Japanese history and culture. My friend and I would point out random things during our tour and ask "what's that?". To our surprise, Yumi always had a deep explanation ready. We learned a ton.
As a fun fact, Yumi is fluent in three languages (Japanese, English, Portuguese), and also knows a bit of Spanish. She's a well-read person, so you'll always have something interesting to talk about with her while walking the streets of Kanazawa.

Yumi is friendly and knowledgeable. We booked this tour our first day in Kanazawa of a 4 day stay. My personal favorite spots on the tour were the samurai district and the beautiful Kenrokuen garden. We had a tea ceremony later in the day. Yumi was mindful of time and took us to a delicious Ramen restaurant for lunch before going to the tea ceremony.
Most tours in Kanazawa use the bus system which is very efficient. This tour helped orient us so we felt comfortable using transit system the rest of our stay. Yumi is wonderful. Book her for your Kanazawa tour.

Wonderful tour with Yumi to the samurai and geisha districts. Learned much about these people. Loved the Nomura samurai home and garden and the intriguing Ninja temple. Took the bus between districts. Time well spent.

You need a tour of Kanazawa or you won’t know the hidden museums and shops. Till walk thru the park but not understand the why and how behind the architecture and designs

Yoshi was very kind and patient as we followed him thru the garden, geisha districts and castle in our rented kimonos. He even guided us to a delicious ramen shop for lunch. It was nice to have a guide for getting on and off of buses. Plan some cash for additional fees like a bus pass for the day, admission to the park and any geisha room visits.

This tour was arranged very well in that we got to choose the locations we wanted to see and our guide, Yoshi, was very knowledgeable and helpful. At the end of the tour, he even dropped us in another area he thought we would enjoy and showed us how to get back to our hotel using the bus. Would definitely recommend this tour, especially with Yoshi.

We had a lovely time. The tour was very informative and we were able to customize it to our need. We saw the Geisha and Samurai districts.
But the highlight of this trip was our guide Sachi, she was so nice and knowledgeable. She showed us small corners and small things in the city that anyone would easily miss.
Overall i highly recommended this tour!

The guide didn't come to our hotel to meet for the tour. The full amount was charged to my credit card. I couldn't find an option how to contact administrator to complain about it and receive money back.

Great visit of Kanazawa on foot with our guide Yuki. All very we well organised and smooth. Yuki is very knowledgeable about history and architecture. It was a pleasure spending some time with her. Lunch was fun too! She even organised our transfer to the train station.

We had a great tour with Hiroko. She was very knowledgeable and pleasant and her English was extremely good.
I very much enjoyed the Samurai house, the Castle and surrounding Japanese gardens and her explanations of the history architecture and culture made for a very memorable visit to Kanazawa. I would highly recommend her.

We toured the geisha district and the samurai district with our guide, who was born and raised in Kanazawa. She was knowledgeable about the history of the city and how these different districts evolved over time. We would have had a difficult time finding all the interesting and important houses on our own. It was really nice to have our local guide with us. She also recommended a lovely restaurant in the Samurai district for lunch which serves local specialties. The restaurant is Jibunabe, or 鱼半 in Japanese or Chinese.

We really enjoyed our half day tour at Kanazawa. Our tour guide walked around the city with us. We got to see a lot of beautiful places. Our favorite was the park in the city. The park was the most amazingly beautiful and magical place.

Samurai district and Higashi Chaya district were very interesting but our guide didn’t give almost any information. There’s so much to say about this period and the life of people at that time, but we didn’t learn almost anything. It was disappointing experience. We could have done it on our own.

Despite the restrictions from Corona virus precautions (museums were closed) we had a wonderful tour thanks to the vibrant pleasant guide Akira. Very organized and informative.
