YOSHI met us at our hotel and was very friendly and helpful. We walked around the city and he took us to view several different spots including samurai living quarters, geisha houses, the beautiful garden built by Maeda san. Yoshi was knowledgeable about the entire city and it's treasured history. He inspired me to do some reading on Maeda san, a leader who played a huge part in the development of the city. Yoshi was an excellent guide, and even provided a LOT of recommendations and useful information for after our tour. We would definitely recommend YOSHI san! Note: you will need a IC card to board some of the city buses.

Fantastic day with Yossi! He made everything so easy, including making changes mid-trip! He gave us real experience, history and fun for all of us.
Very good tour. It was a rainy day. Yumiko was an excellent tour guide. We negotiated the weather without a problem. Moreover, when we visited Kenroku garden, she explained the meaning of the garden so that even I, who knows nothing of Japanese gardens, could appreciate this work of art. Please book Yumiko. Excellent time exploring Kanazawa and learning its history with our guide, Yoshi-san. Getting around the city was easy with him as our guide and he took us to the tea house districts, the Myouryuji temple, and Kanazawa castle. He taught us about the local culture, as well as how Kanazawa came to be and why it flourished as a hub of culture. He als recommended a lot of activities and food for us to try

We had a day of adventure with our guide Asa in the city of Kanazawa. Our day started us off meeting Asa at the cruise terminal where although there was a slight hiccup with the meeting time, it went flawlessly from there. Our tour consisted of a couple of taxi rides and bus rides to different places of interest which we had picked out prior to the trip. Asa, lead us to and thru each teaching us so many things about the history and their significance. She explained to us not only important things about the past but also currently and how and why they still remain important to this day. It did seem apparent, but after making small talk earlier in the day, we did learn that she had been a teacher for her entire profession. During that conversation there was a very candid moment where we talked about her former career, and you could see the sparkle in her eye where she had a genuine love of teaching, still connecting with people, and the significance of her profession. She lead us thru our tour talking and teaching us along the way and yet stopping at appropriate times to let us soak things in, take a picture or to just recuperate at times. I could not believe the pep in her step and she could’ve probably out done all of us in a race. She was also thoughtful enough to buy each of us a small bento (or box lunch) for us to enjoy during a break and made sure that when she was completed with our tour, that we knew exactly how to get back to our cruise terminal. We had a very enjoyable day and an incredible experience of one of the most beautiful Japanese gardens, a historic castle, a “Ninja” temple and an open market. Thank you Asa!!! One of the most significant things at the end was that Asa humbly asked if we could write a short entry into a diary which she kept of all of her past tours. She claimed that it was meaningful for her to reflect back on as well as to help keep up her English. Asa told us that one of her main goals was to become a better guide, and Asa we would all not hesitate to say that you were, and are incredible. Thank you for the experience, your thoughtfulness and your patience with our large group. We are so happy that we had the experience you shared and provided with us.

My guide, Shoten, was great. He contacted me in advance of my arrival to introduce himself and see if there were any particular sights or interests I was interested to see/do. I explained that I was interested in local handicrafts and architecture, he then prepared a personalized itinerary of Kanazawa. He was most informative and made it very easy to cover many sights that I could not do on my own. He even found an excellent restaurant to try Kanazawa's famous oden which fit right into the planned schedule. Highly recommended!

It was a good six hours of walking in the streets of Kanazawa. Its good to know its history and to see highlights in each area. We had fun and the pace was just right. Yumiko-san has a very conversational English hence we really enjoyed the walking tour.

Yumiko was extremely professional, knowledgeable, personable, and patient. I traveled with a group of four others with somewhat varying interests. Yumiko made recommendations and always waited patient ently while we were engaged in activities. She stayed at least 30 minutes beyond our tour time because she wanted to help us see as much as we could. I would happily recommend her as a tour guide.

This was a wonderful trip. The highlights of the tour was (1) when our guide took us to a small local restaurant, (2) the explanation of the Geisha culture and our tour of a famous park. When we wanted to take pictures the guide who help us compose the picture by telling us the best place to stand.
If I could I would give more than five stars.
I very much enjoyed the day with Yumiko. She told me so many interesting details and showed many different places of the beautiful city Kanazawa.
