Kayo was an awesome guide. We met her at the Kanazawa train station and took a bus to the Samarai district. We got to go in an upper Samarai’s house that was beautiful. We walked through the castle area over to the Kenrokuen Garden. It was spectacular! Last we made a quick stop in the Geisha district. We fit in a lot as Kayo was a perfect guide. Since this was a day trip for us, we arrived to Kanazawa early and walked through the Omicho Market on our own. Overall, it was a wonderful day!

Our guide, Chikako, was very flexible and efficient and made the most of our 4 hours together, which was important given that we were on a cruise. We identified sites that would be the most interesting to us and she kept us moving! A job well done.

My tour guide never showed up and we called multiple times. We were sent a confirmation email the night before with a phone number. We tried calling that number as well as messaged the tour on the website

Your guide was assigned but did not receive our internal communication. This was an internal error, which we have now addressed.
Our operations team were in contact with you on the morning of the tour to offer the afternoon tour as an alternative, we understand this doesn’t compensate for our mistake and we immediately refunded you the full amount of your tour for the inconvenience and hope that you will accept our apology for the inconvenience caused.

We very much enjoyed our morning tour with Guide, Harumi. Harumi was very knowledgeable about Kanazawa sharing with us her culture and the history of the Samurai and Castle. We visited the Samurai area, the castle gardens and finished at the Geisha district. Harumi was on time, answered our many questions and at the end walked us back to our hotel taking a detour through the local fish markets. We would definitely recommend Harumi as wonderful guide to get to know Kanazawa.

Our guide Reiko was so helpful and accommodating to our schedule. It was like being toured around by an old friend. The beautiful streets, tea houses, castle grounds and artisan shops were wonderful to see. She was fun and very proud of her city. We learned more than we would have had we gone on our own.

Our guide Kumiko met us at our hotel and she was very prepared. She designed a travel booklet to help us pick which areas of Kanazawa we wanted to visit. Kumiko guided us on a complex route through Kenrokuen Garden, the Kanazawa castle and the Chaya areas and made sure she took pictures of us at all the best spots. Commutation was clear and easy. Our visit to Kanazawa was excellent because of Kumiko.

Jorge was our most experienced excellent tour guide.we chose to see the samurai district and the park as well as market. He spent time with us to buy our train ticket which needed his interpreter skills to correct some issues.Very helpful!

Nozomi and Kanazawa were highlights of our trip to Japan. Her tour was well thought out given our interests, previous experiences, time and the rain! She is very knowledgeable on a wide range of topics and a lovely person. Our half day tour was at the beginning of a longer stay and we were fully prepared for the rest of our time in Kanazawa. Excellent tour by Nozomi. Wonderful combination of Kanazawa’s history, art, and contemporary life. Nozomi also knows so many luminaries from the area (and the best place to get gold-leaf ice cream) that it made the tour very special!

Should be made clearer on the site that:
- the half day tour would only cover 2 (max 3) of the 4 sites listed
- we would be expected to pay the bus/taxi fare for travelling with the guide around
Our guide was decent. Compared to other walking tours I've been on, the price is way too steep for the standard of the tour.

Tetsuro was great guide. Lots of great info, history & personal stories. We were able to see the gardens, samurai, gold leaf production, and geisha districts in 4 hours. Which was great as we did this tour by catching the bullet train to and from Tokyo in a day. It would be great for Viator to make it clearer in description that taxis are required and at own cost.

Sachiko was a wonderful guide. She provided insight to what we were seeing, particularly in the house of the samurai and the geisha. Highlight of the trip was the gold leaf experience creating our own creations.

Jorge was an unbelievable guide for our walking tour of Kanazawa. We couldn't have asked for a more informative and knowledgeable individual. Not only discussed the many wonderful aspects of Kanazawa but his vast knowledge of the Japanese people, lifestyle, history and overall abundance of information about the region made for a most pleasant experience.

Nozomi-San was our tour guide. She met us at the hotel lobby on time and gave us flexible options for the tour since we had 7 month old baby and older parents. We visited the Samurai district and Geisha district. Made stops along the way to learn history, enjoy snacks, shop, etc.
Our tour guide was wonderful! She also emailed us photos she took of the tour and gave us tips on where to eat, shop, and also emailed us details about what to look for at Kenrokuen and castle ruins nearby, which we visited the next day. We highly recommend this half-day tour of Kanazawa.

Sachiko was incredible. This tour was a highlight of our time in Kanazawa. We arrived in Kanazawa after a heavy snowfall, and she did a great job making sure we were able to see the Samurai district, the Geisha District, and the Kenrokuen Gardens without any issues. She was a lovely person, very knowledgeable, and super friendly. Plus she made sure we did everything we wanted and even threw in a few surprises (like throwing ninjas stars!)
