Had a wonderful first day in Uganda with Shedrack. He hooked me up with an e bike as the company is soon to introduce these, which was the perfect solution to a muddy ride after the morning rain. He paid attention to my abilities as a rider and was so willing to take pictures for the duration of the tour.

The ride was perfectly orchestrated from start to finish. The organizers made sure I had a bike that fit and was comfortable. The boat ride to the island was short but smooth and beautiful. The ride on the peninsula was spectacular. I felt like I was seeing the real Uganda. The people, especially the kids were so friendly! The ride was not super challenging but just enough to count as good exercise and to really feel like I saw some wonderful sites. Thanks so much!

The mountain biking was a great workout! There are lots of large hills to navigate with dirt roads and mud and potholes and protruding rocks! The bikes are 10 speed and solid—I used the gears a lot. I loved seeing the area. It was interesting and eye opening because of how the people live and toil there. Shedrack, the guide, was amazing! He’s so nice, so patient, and speaks excellent English. It was an awesome excursion!!!

I loved everything from responsive engagement during the booking process, prompt and courteous pickup at the hotel, to quick and efficient gear collection and boat ride across the lake to an exhilarating ride through the countryside and villages, to the monkeys in trees on the edges of the cycle paths to the most breathtaking strains of worship in song at a local Church. Our guide, Shedrack, was the absolute best: courteous, kind, knowledgeable and patient. He fixed a bike gears that got tangled up with bush, and also dressed a small wound - both competently drawing in a ready toolkit and first aid kit. I would take this tour again if I had the time or am back in the country.

My partner and I had a greatvtime. Our guide was able to find a route that matched our skill set....uphills, single track, gentle downhills...it was absolutely fabulous to see the terrain, vegetation, and culture on the island.

The short but beautiful boat ride across to the peninsula, the quiet, bird song, butterflies and the monkey's! The cycling was fun, some off the beaten track and into the forest. Thr guide was knowledgeable and clearly loved cycling and nature!

We boated, we rode, we ate, we loved it! The excursion was a welcome break from the busy bustle of Kampala. Jims was patient and accommodating, fleshing out daily details of island life. Serenada Eco Preserve grounds an added bonus. We will be returning. Thanks Jims!

Thoroughly enjoyed my mountain bike cycling experience with Francis! It was the perfect adventure for someone who enjoys being active, being outdoors, seeing and interacting with local life, and simply doing some different. I loved loading bikes onto a little boat and riding across beautiful Lake Victoria and becoming immersed in daily life of a small Ugandan farming village. The island residents were very warm with their greetings, and the small children running up close, yelling "hello" excitedly and repeatedly was heavenly. Francis is very fit and provided me a great cycling challenge, which I appreciated and enjoyed. His laid-back, kind personality was very pleasant to be around and allowed me to engage the experience in my own manner. I enjoyed our stop in the commercial area of the village to watch a young man Solomon make a delicious breakfast snack for us to enjoy. This excursion was a highlight for my East Africa holiday. The tour gave us the opportunity to experience the countryside and traditional way of living. However as this tour was described as a leisurely bike ride we were quite disappointed as our guide set a high pace without any attention or requests of having breaks, sip of water or stops to take inn the scenery.

First of all, I'm very sorry that your experience wasn't what you had expected. We always want our cyclists to really enjoy every piece of it and look back at a great activity they can brag about. I hope that despite of your unsatisfied experience with our guide, you still had a chance to enjoy the beauty that Uganda has to offer. Our guides have been trained in setting the right pace and making sure that participating cyclists have plenty of time to take picture, catch their breath, enjoy the shade or have a sip of water. Clearly something went wrong here for which I'm very sorry. I discussed the issue with our guides and also they are very sorry and will put more focus on this aspect of the tour. I have been trying to get hold of you by whatsapp, but alas. you can visit places only to go or ride, depending on light rain it was slippery. But all I've seen was very impressive
