What a wonderful cultural experience! We met up with our guide, Adhi who was both patient and knowledgeable. We received history of the temple, Hinduism, and the monkeys that guard the area. I suggest you visit when in planning to pass through Uluwatu and let the Di Bali team be your guides.

One of the worst, overhyed shows. Guide was not good. Ramayan has been depicted as a funny story with hanuman acting like stupid monkey. They need to read Ramayan properly.

As the most popular show in Bali, Uluwatu Kecak and Fire Dance is always full of tourist who want to watch during sunset, so the crowds are difficult to avoid. We understand that everyone has their own expectations and we appreciate your personal opinion, regarding the story, kecak dance it’s traditional dance mix it with the cultural even we knows you are from India and popular with ramayana story but not completely the same. And if attend to meeting point are late that will be hard to schedule the tour guide as the tour group already been started. Please be on Time then the tour start smooth as the schedule, as expectations. We hope the rest of your holiday in Bali will be enjoyable and meets all your expectations.

Our guide was brilliant. Ni ketut Jani was very engaging and gave us a great tour. The monkeys are amazing, the temple is lovely in a fantastic setting and the show was very different and entertaining against a beautiful sunset backdrop x

The tour allowed us to skip the crowds for ticket purchases and made us feel safe in the presence of the cheeky, thieving monkeys. Our guide Ni Ketut Kirna was funny, engaging, informative and showed us all of the best viewing and cultural points. A highlight was being able to feed some monkeys by hand. I highly recommend booing this tour rather than visiting the temple independently.

I was bitten by a monkey after the guide proposed a take a picture with one of the monkeys as that was “a nice one that was ok to be near”
The guide then dismissed the bite as “nothing and that did not require medical attention” but after checking with a doctor it required an urgent treatment at the hospital for Rabies, Tetanus, and Herpes B, requiring several visits to the hospital and costing 5.000 dollars
Pedro was a great guide, expertly navigating us through the crowds. He even retrieved a hat that was taken by a monkey!

An interesting tour around the temple grounds - you do not enter the temple - with a 180 deg view of sunset over the water. Our guide Ketut did a great job of fending off monkeys, assisting random tourists not with our group - she helped rescue a stolen hat and we also observed sunglasses and bags being stolen. The kecak dancing was an impressive spectacle of chanting, dancing and costumes.

We unfortunately needed to arrive late due to a snafu with our ferry boat, so we missed most of the tour. However, the tour operators were super helpful and accommodating! They made the extra effort to meet us outside of the temple and connect us to the group. When we went off exploring and lost the guide, they went out of their way to come find us, ensuring we had our tickets for entrance into the fire dancing show.

I thought this experience was good, mostly because the monkeys at the temple are really aggressive and I felt safer having a knowledgeable guide to alert us about them (we watched them take someone’s phone from their hand and glasses off their face). The dance is absolutely amazing and worth seeing and so is the temple, but it’s a lot cheaper to just buy a ticket at gate.

The view is nice but the actual temple area is not accessible.
The dance was good but you have to stand the scotching heat.
My friend and I had a great time on tour! Right after we booked the tour, we received instant and clear communication about meeting time, place, and pictures to help find the rights signs and our tour guide. Our guide Kadek Pedro was a fantastic guide! He gave us some good facts about the temple grounds and history. Most importantly we felt very safe with him around all of the monkeys! They seem to know him AND respect him! Compared to other guests, none of our group had anything stolen thanks to Kadek Pedro’s pre-tour instructions and him navigating us through the monkeys. Honestly, there was a lot of monkeys. Of course, Kecak dance was amazing to watch during sunset as well. It is fairly dark once the sun set, so I would say watch your step upon exiting with everyone. I would recommend this specific tour for anyone interested in seeing the Kecak Dance at Uluwatu temple!
