Overview
The Snake River is an ideal location to see some of Wyoming’s beautiful flora and fauna—especially bald eagles, ospreys, and pelicans—near Grand Teton National Park. Rather than rush down the river on a whitewater or kayaking trip, float down a scenic 13-mile (21 kilometers) stretch of the river on an easygoing raft. Plus, get round-trip transportation from the outfitter's office in Jackson.

- MEETING INSTRUCTIONS: Please arrive at our office (180 Powderhorn Ln) 15 minutes prior to your scheduled departure time. We operate on a strict schedule to maximize your time on the river and cannot hold the bus for late arrivals
- WHAT TO WEAR & BRING: Dress in layers! Mountain weather is unpredictable. We recommend a light jacket or fleece, comfortable shoes (sneakers are fine), and sunglasses. You will mostly stay dry, but a stray splash is possible. Highly recommended: Binoculars for eagle spotting and a camera for the views!
- PRIVATE BOATS & AVAILABILITY: Don't see the time you need? We often have additional inventory or Private Rafts available for families and photographers. Please contact Lewis & Clark River Expeditions directly to inquire about booking an exclusive boat for your group.

It was an absolutely amazing trip.This past saturday the weather was gorgeous. We were lucky to be only a crew of 4 with mitch leading the way. He is so knowledgeable an answer, all the questions that we threw at him. He loves this area very much in its shows. Great experience from start to finish! We loved our river float! Our guide was awesome! She was very knowledgeable and made us all feel comfortable and safe. The views were amazing and we saw tons of bald eagles. Highly recommend doing this when visiting GTNP!

Easy, gentle float trip down the Snake River. We spotted eagles and osprey, cormorants and ducks. The highlight was spotting a young black bear. You never know what might wander out of the brush. We just enjoyed the sun, water and making new friends.
We stayed dry. Rapids were gentle class one.
Don’t forget your sunscreen.
Staff is extremely friendly and helpful.

How good it is. We told several people we met on the trail to do it. Mitch was our guide, he was fabulous. Very knowledgeable of the area, the wildlife etc. H e made the trip wonderful and fun.

You may not see animals but we saw many different birds. It was relaxing and very enjoyable trip, enjoying the natural beauty of the area.

This was a breathtaking beautiful and peaceful experience! Our guide Henry is a walking encyclopedia on the area and bad jokes 😂. But I wouldn’t have it any other way. He kept us safe while ensuring we were enjoying. You’d definitely want to bring water and sun protection. The views are mind blowing. We got to see tons of bald eagles, pelicans and other animals.

We enjoyed the boat trip very much. The river was picturesque , serene, and beautiful. The float was fun yet comfortable enough. Our guide Zak was terrific. He was extremely knowledgeable about the river and all the local topography. He was very informative and engaging. Would highly recommend.

This was a great choice for a relaxing, informative, fun activity in the Teton Valley. Our rafting guide, Grace, did an awesome job sharing interesting tips and facts about the Snake River, and we were so happy we chose this company to float with as everything went smoothly. We even saw several bald eagles and a moose!

This float is perfect for families and for those who want to admire the beauty of the Snake River. Our tour guide, Alex, was an expert guide and made our float fun. The day we went, Mother Nature sent us fog so the visuals on the first half of our two hour float was foggy. Once the fog lifted, we could enjoy the scenery and the animals along the way. We had the 8am tour, so just to be sure Mother Nature cooperates I would book a later float. The tour company is amazing to deal with and the people were so friendly. Definitely a journey to enjoy!

Great experience from start to finish. Easily booked and signed waivers online. Check-in was easy and staff very friendly and helpful. Grace was our rafting guide and she was amazing!! Very knowledgeable of the river and wildlife we encountered, she was so friendly and professional!! Wesley was our driver and did a great job and was waiting for us at the end of our trip to take us back.

This experience was great fun! Grace, our guide was very knowledge about the mountain ranges, wildlife and Snake River.
During our time on the water we saw 7-8 bale eagles, osprey, and many other forms of wildlife.
Highly recommend!

A peaceful and scenic 3-hour float on the Snake River! The views of the Tetons were stunning, and our guide Caleb was friendly, knowledgeable, and made the experience enjoyable and safe. We spotted wildlife along the way and loved the relaxing pace. Highly recommend for nature lovers and families!

A good way to spend half a day floating down the river and seeing the local wildlife. We saw Mule Deer, Bald Eagles, American White Pelicans and Marmots.

Very fun, informative, and amazing way to view the Tetons and the surrounding wildlife. Relaxing as well! Our tour guide, Henry was very personable, and helped make the experience memorable. Great for all ages. Loved that the store had reasonable prices and told us we would not get wet enough to need cell phone pouches; most tourist places have no problem taking your money. Great company, great experience, and make sure to tell Arlo the resident office Golden Retriever to “Twirl!” 🥰
