Overview
The Snake River is an ideal location to see some of Wyoming’s beautiful flora and fauna—especially bald eagles, ospreys, and pelicans—near Grand Teton National Park. Rather than rush down the river on a whitewater or kayaking trip, float down a scenic 13-mile (21 kilometers) stretch of the river on an easygoing raft. Plus, get round-trip transportation from the outfitter's office in Jackson.

- MEETING INSTRUCTIONS: Please arrive at our office (180 Powderhorn Ln) 15 minutes prior to your scheduled departure time. We operate on a strict schedule to maximize your time on the river and cannot hold the bus for late arrivals
- WHAT TO WEAR & BRING: Dress in layers! Mountain weather is unpredictable. We recommend a light jacket or fleece, comfortable shoes (sneakers are fine), and sunglasses. You will mostly stay dry, but a stray splash is possible. Highly recommended: Binoculars for eagle spotting and a camera for the views!
- PRIVATE BOATS & AVAILABILITY: Don't see the time you need? We often have additional inventory or Private Rafts available for families and photographers. Please contact Lewis & Clark River Expeditions directly to inquire about booking an exclusive boat for your group.

Did the 8 am float with my wife. Sadly had a lot of over cast from rain and smoke. Even though still had a blast. The guide Cindy was nice very informative as well as very interactive with the kids under 5 on our raft. Keep them and the rest of use informed and enjoying the trip. Saw a lot of bald eagles, was lucky to see a white pelican, blue heron and a lot of merganser duck.

We had a wonderful tour guide, Spencer. He was informative, easy to talk with, very friendly and was obvious he loved what he was doing! He pointed out the wildlife and made sure everyone was comfortable. The Snake River is a great way to experience the area and to just relax. The day we went, unfortunately it rained but Spencer had rain ponchos available for everyone. Overall, as first timers, we enjoyed our first scenic River float.

If you’ve had a busy day of hiking in the park, this is the best way to wrap up your day. We had just gotten done hiking Taggart Lake when we made our way to Lewis and Clark.. We boarded our raft and were welcomed by Charlie who was amazingly energetic and fun. From start to finish Charlie told us stories about the snake River and all the amazing animals that we would see. She was an amazing eagle spotter.!! Charlie made it fun for everyone in the raft. I would absolutely recommend the scenic float trip down the snake river with Charlie.!!

We had an awesome time! We did the 8am tour and spotted 15 bald eagles. The most I’ve ever seen in my life! Our guide, Caleb, was awesome!!! Would highly recommend

It was an absolutely amazing trip.This past saturday the weather was gorgeous. We were lucky to be only a crew of 4 with mitch leading the way. He is so knowledgeable an answer, all the questions that we threw at him. He loves this area very much in its shows. Great experience from start to finish! We loved our river float! Our guide was awesome! She was very knowledgeable and made us all feel comfortable and safe. The views were amazing and we saw tons of bald eagles. Highly recommend doing this when visiting GTNP!

Easy, gentle float trip down the Snake River. We spotted eagles and osprey, cormorants and ducks. The highlight was spotting a young black bear. You never know what might wander out of the brush. We just enjoyed the sun, water and making new friends.
We stayed dry. Rapids were gentle class one.
Don’t forget your sunscreen.
Staff is extremely friendly and helpful.

How good it is. We told several people we met on the trail to do it. Mitch was our guide, he was fabulous. Very knowledgeable of the area, the wildlife etc. H e made the trip wonderful and fun.
